Purpose: The current study was performed to estimate the changes in reading speed and blinking rate according to different background colors when reading paper book and further investigate their correlation. Methods: Twenty-nine adults (10 males, 19 females) who consented to the present study and had no ocular disease, ocular surgery history showing normal binocular vision were participated into the study. The subjects were asked to read the novels with black letter printed on white, red, green and blue background for 15 min, respectively. Then, the reading speed per page and blinking rate per page were measured during reading and analyzed according to background colors. Results: Reading speed per page according to the background color showed a tendency to accelerate in the white and green background as the reading time increased however, it was almost unchanged in the blue background and rather decelerated in the red background. On the other hand, the blinking rate per page tended to decrease in all background as the reading time was increased however, the smallest reduction was shown in the red background. There was a correlation that the reading speed increased as the blinking rate decreased in all backgrounds and the best correlation was shown in the green background. Conclusions: From the results, a correlation between the increasing reading speed and the reducing blinking rate while reading paper book with same demand on accommodation and convergence was confirmed however, the change in blinking rate and reading speed was varied depending on the main wavelength of light. It might mean that the working speed and visual fatigue can be varied depending on the difference of main wavelength when doing near work. Thus, it can be suggested that the adjustment of working environment and conditions should be made according to the kind of required perception.

Rapid urbanization of Korea was an unprecedented example in the world and urban population increased significantly. As a result, unbalanced distribution of population is serious problem in Korea because approximately 50% of the population is concentrated in the capital area that is 10% of nation's territory, thereby occurring various urban problems including UHI. Hence, Sejong Special Autonomous City was inaugurated officially on 2 July 2012 in order to decentralize population of capital area and induce more balanced regional development. The Sejong City has been changed drastically over a period of years as developed practically since the late 2000's and is expected to have new problems of urbanization. The land cover change due to urbanization is the main cause of UHI that urban area is significantly warmer than its surrounding areas and UHI is not only affecting urban climate change but also natural environment. So the purpose of this research is to analyze level of urbanization and UHI effect and to provide the correlation analysis between Land Surface Temperature and spectral indices. To achieve this, satellite imagery from LANDSAT were used. NDVI, NDBI, and UI were calculated using red, near-infrared, mid-infrared ($0.63{\mu}m-1.75{\mu}m$) images and LST was retrieved utilizing thermal infrared ($10.4{\mu}m-12.5{\mu}m$) image. Based on each index and LST, Changes of NDVI, UI and UHI through TVI were analyzed in Sejong City. UHI effect increased around newly constructed multi-functional administrative city, the correlation between LST and NDVI was negative and UI was strong positive.

본 논문은 MPEG-4 컨텐츠를 구성하는 멀티미디어 객체 사이의 시간관계를 시각적으로 저작할 수 있는 저작 시스템을 제안한다. MPEG-4 시스템 표준안은 멀티미디어 객체들로 구성된 시청각장면을 컨텐츠 단위로 표현하기 위해서 장면을 기술하는 장면 디스크립터를 가진다. 장면 디스크립터는 멀티미디어 객체 사이의 공간관계와 시간 관계를 표현한다. 본 저작 시스템은 사용자가 쉽게 객체간의 시간 관계를 설정할 수 있는 저작 환경을 제공한다. MPEG-4 저작 도구는 사용자의 시각적인 저작을 통해서 객체간의 시간 관계를 표현하는 장면 디스크립션을 생성한다. 멀티미디어 객체간의 시, 공간 관계 저작을 가능하게 하는 MPEG-4 저작도구는 장면 디스크립션의 의미를 더욱 높여주고 사용자에게 효율적인 저작환경을 제공한다.

The objective of this study is to examine the correlation of reading quantities in various media(magazines, books, comic books) and different developmental phases of women high school students. I surveyed reading quantities in developmental periods, by questionnaires. As a methodology of empirical study, data was collected from 198 students at the Jeonju Girls' High School. Statistical techniques of a Pearson Correlation Test were employed according to my hypotheses. The results of this survey are as follows: 1) Reading quantities of specific media of specific period is correlated with reading quantities of same media of other period 2) Reading quantities of books is correlated with reading quantities of comic books.

최근 XML 이라는 웹 문서 표준이 대두되면서 여러 응용 분야에서 이를 활용하려는 노력이 진행 중이다. 특히 웹 상에서 XML은 기준의 데이터베이스를 대체하여 데이터를 관리하고 조직화하며 또한 자원의 게시를 위해 사용되고 있다. 따라서 데이터베이스에 있는 데이터들을 XML문서로 변환하는 것은 필수불가분의 관계이며 좀더 쉽게 이러한 작업들을 할 수 있는 프로그램이 개발 또는 연구 중이다. 그러나 현재 개발된 XML 문서 변환기는 속성과 요소이름이 데이터베니스의 필드 이름으로 밖에 변환되지 않거나, 보통 테이블 이름이 요소로 각 필드이름이 요소 안의 속성으로 밖에 변환할 수 없다. 또한 MSSQL, MySQL, ACCESS와 같은 관계형 데이터베이스 툴 마다 호환이 되지 않으며 변환기 사용 시 인터페이스가 복잡하여 쉽게 이용할 수 없는 것이 현실이다. 본 논문은 이러한 문제점들을 해결하기 위해 효율적으로 관계형 데이터베이스 시스템에서 XML문서로 자동 변환시켜주는 웹 기반의 변환시스템을 구축하였다. 본 논문에서 제시한 변환 시스템은 데이터베이스 시스템 내의 테이블에 데이터를 입력할 경우 사용자가 원하는 형태의 XML문서로 변환이 가능하기 때문에 XML문서를 작성시 효과적으로 이용될 수 있다.

The purpose of this study is the correlation analysis between housing environment and prices of apartments in Dae-Jeon city. For these purpose, selecting assessment factors to analysis correlation from housing environment classified by space stages and correlation analysis between selected factors and price of apartments. The results of this study are as follows : in old city area, a physical factors of housing environment gives high influence on the price of apartment, in new city area, density of building gives high influence on the price of apartment.

We study the time resolved anti-Stokes Raman spectroscopy with correlated pump and Stokes waves. When only two pump waves with relative delay are incident into a Raman medium, the Stokes waves generated by stimulated Raman scattering couple with the pump waves to generate anti-Stokes signal. Since the correlation between Stokes and the pump waves are not perfect and not quantified yet, we make a simple model fot it and calculate the normalized anti-Stokes signal intensities as a function of time delay. The broadband light regarded as chaotic field.

The flat dilatometer test(DMT) is a useful geotechnical tool for estimating in-situ properties of various types of ground materials and the application of flat DMT is increasing. The existing relationships which are used to estimate the design parameters of soft deposit depend on the regional geotechnical characteristics and then it is necessary to investigate the applicability of the flat dilatometer in Korea. In this paper, the flat DMT has been conducted in soft marine deposits. The results estimated by existing relationships and those obtained from laboratory tests were compared. Based on the results, some factors influencing the relationships were examined and adjustment of empirical expression was performed.

This paper is focused on the spatial variability of measured strong motion data during earthquake and its relationship with the performance of water distribution pipelines and residential buildings. Analyses of strong motion and the correlations of peak ground velocity (PGV) and pipeline and building damage were conducted with a very large geographical information system (GIS) database including the relationship of time and earthquake intensity and the measured location, and Kriging spatial statistics. Kriging was used to develop regressions of pipeline repair rate (RR) and residential building damage ratio (DR) associated with $90\%$ confidence peak ground velocity (PGV). Such regressions using Kriging provide an explicit means of characterizing the uncertainty embodied in the strong motion data compared with other spacial statistics such as inverse distance method.

The purpose of this study was to investigate whether management strategic types and entry strategy moderate the influence of Guanxi on the relationship performance between Korean apparel firms & Chinese partners. For these purposes, three hypotheses were developed and data was collected from 85 Korean apparel firms which have a business relationship with Chinese partners. Data was analyzed with SPSS methods such as frequency, factor analysis, multiple-regression, and hierarchical-regression analysis. The results were as follows: First, 'Prior to Guanxi' and 'Execution of Guanxi', which were sub-factors of Guanxi, influence positively on the relationship performance. And also the influence of 'Prior to Guanxi' was higher than 'Execution of Guanxi' on the relationship performance. Second, the influence of the 'Prior to Guanxi' on the relationship performance was stronger when Defender strategic type was used rather than other types. Third, the influence of the 'Prior to Guanxi' on the relationship performance was stronger when the entry scope of 'Both production & distribution in China' and the entry mode of 'Entry through Agent' were chosen.
