  • The unsteady flow analysis of staging system is conducted. This study focuses on comparing the results of two different governing equations between Euler equations and Navier-Stokes equations. The Chimera grid scheme is applied to moving simulations for unsteady flow analysis with dynamic simulation. As a result, it is certified that inviscid simulation have capabilities enough to analyze the present staging problem.

  • The parte(I) of this paper deals with the motion analysis of a gear type high speed planting mechanism of rice transplanters. Following that this part(II) contains force analysis of the mechanism. Forces and moments acting on the mechanism were determined analytically and computer coded for the simulation of them on any IBM PC compatiable machines. The simulation program developed in this study can be used as a design tool and also for a sensitivity analysis.

  • Gas turbine engine simulation in terms of transient, steady state performance and operational characteristics is complex work at the various engineering functions of aero engine manufacturers. Especially, efficiency of control system design and development in terms of cost, development period and technical relevance implies controlling diverse simulation and identification activities. The previous engine simulation has been accomplished within a limited analysis area such as fan, compressor, combustor, turbine, controller, etc. and this has resulted in improper engine performance and control characteristics because of limited interaction between analysis areas. In this paper, we propose a new simulation methodology for gas turbine engine performance analysis as well as its digital controller to solve difficulties as mentioned above. The novel method has particularities of (ⅰ) resulting in the integrated control simulation using almost every component/module analysis, (ⅱ) providing automated math model generation process of engine itself, various engine subsystems and control compensators/regulators, (ⅲ) presenting total sophisticated output results and easy understandable graphic display for a final user. We call this simulation system GT3GS (Gas Turbine 3D Graphic Simulator). GT3GS was built on both software and hardware technology for total simulation capable of high calculation flexibility as well as interface with real engine controller. All components in the simulator were implemented using COTS (Commercial Off the Shelf) modules. In addition, described here includes GT3GS main features and future works for better gas turbine engine simulation.

  • 한국군의 분석용 시뮬레이션모델을 포함한 대개의 전투시뮬레이션 모델들은 통합화력과 같은 복잡한 전투상황을 모델링, 분석하기에는 어려움이 많다. 본 연구에서는 Fire Eagle과 같은 지상화력과 육군항공의 통합화력전투훈련의 분석을 위한 모델링 및 시뮬레이션 요구사항을 분석한다. 이에 기반하여 Fire Eagle을 위한 시뮬레이션 모델을 제안, 개발하고 통합화력을 개선하기 위한 전략을 도출한다. 이 시뮬레이션 모델을 이용하여 특정 작전계획 및 시나리오의 효과성을 분석한다. 이 시뮬레이션 실험 결과를 바탕으로 효율적이고 효과적인 작전계획을 개발하는 시범을 보인다.

  • 본 논문은 RUP (Relational Unified Process) 모델을 사용한 SBA (simulation-based acquisition)의 효과도를 분석하기 위한 환경을 제시하고 있다. RUP 모델이 갖는 4개의 각 단계는 요구사항 분석, 설계, 개발 및 테스트 모든 단계를 포함할 수 있다. RUP 모델을 적용할 경우 소프트웨어 개발을 각 단계에서 반복되는 개발의 형태로 명시할 수 있다. 이러한 모델의 특성은 국방 영역의 획득에 적절하게 활용할 수 있게 한다. 본 논문에서는 RUP 모델과 V프로세스 모델의 관계를 제시하여 국방획득의 적용성을 제시하였다. 특히, 이러한 이론을 기반으로 하여 어떻게 사용자 인터페이스를 개발 운용할 수 있는지를 제시하였다.

이산 사건 모델링 및 시뮬레이션을 이용한 교통 흐름 분석 방법론 (Traffic Flow Analysis Methodology Using the Discrete Event Modeling and Simulation)

  • Increased attention has been paid in recent years to the need of traffic management for alleviating urban traffic congestion. This paper presents a discrete event modeling and simulation framework for analyzing the traffic flow. Traffic simulation models can be classified as being either microscopic and macroscopic models. The discrete event modeling and simulation technique can be basically employed to describe the macroscopic traffic simulation model. To do this, we have employed the System Entity Structure/Model Base (SES/MB) framework which integrates the dynamic-based formalism of simulation with the symbolic formalism of AI. The SES/MB framework supports to hierarchical, modular discrete event modeling and simulation environment. We also adopt the Symbolic DEVS (Discrete Event System Specification) to developed the automated analysis methodology for generating optimal signal light policy. Several simulation tests will demonstrates the techniques.

Study on The Development of Basic Simulation Network for Operational Transient Analysis of The CANDU Power Plant

  • Simulation models have been developed to predict the overall behavior of the CANDU plant systems during normal operational transients. For real time simulation purpose, simplified thermal hydraulic models are applied with appropriate system control logics, which include primary heat transport system solver with its component models and secondary side system models. The secondary side models are mainly used to provide boundary conditions for primary system calculation and to accomodate plant power control logics. Also, for the effective use of simulation package, hardware oriented basic simulation network has been established with appropriate graphic display system. Through validation with typical plant power maneuvering cases using proven plant performance analysis computer code, the present simulation package shows reasonable capability in the prediction of the dynamic behavior of plant variables during operational transients of CANDU plant, which means that this simulation tool can be utilized as a basic framework for full scope simulation network through further improvements.

  • 무기체계 효과도 분석을 위한 통합 시뮬레이션 엔진은 모델의 개발부터 시뮬레이션 수행 및 분석에 이르는 모델링 및 시뮬레이션 전 단계에 걸쳐 도구와 서비스 및 인터페이스를 제공해야 한다. 다양한 국방 통합 시뮬레이션 엔진을 제공하고 있는 국외와는 달리, 국내에서는 자체적인 분산 실시간 모의체계 엔진에 대한 연구 및 개발이 미흡하여 무기체계 M&S(Modeling and Simulation) 활동 시 유사 업무가 반복되고 있는 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 국외의 기 개발된 국방 M&S 모의엔진의 서비스를 비교 분석하여 무기체계 효과도 분석을 지원하기 위한 통합 시뮬레이션 엔진인 OpenSIM(Open Simulation Engine for Interoperable Model)을 소개하고, OpenSIM에서 제공하는 서비스의 범위 및 내용을 정의한다. 정의된 서비스는 모델링 실행 분석에서 공통적으로 많이 사용되는 클래스, 함수 및 데이터 등을 구현하여 프로그래밍의 복잡도를 감소시킬 수 있다.

A Computer Simulation Method for Dynamic Analysis of Hydraulic Engine Mount System

  • In this paper, a computer simulation method is presented far the dynamic analysis of a hydraulic engine mount system. The hydraulic engine mount system controls the damping characteristics using the viscosity of fluid flow. The complex stiffnesses of the main rubber for the hydraulic engine mount system are computed using a finite element analysis. The equations of motion considering the parameters of the hydraulic engine mount system are derived. To investigate the effects of the hydraulic engine mount system, the computer simulation running over a typical rough road is carried out using a vehicle dynamic model. These results are compared with those of the conventional rubber mount system.

  • The turbofan engine performance analysis for a medium scale commercial aircraft was carried out and the LQR control scheme for performance optimization was studied. By using scaled component maps from well-known CF6 engine characteristics, the steady-state performance analysis result was compared with BR715-56 engine performance data. The transient performance analysis was performed with four fuel schedules. The linear simulation was done at the maximum take-off condition. The real time linear simulation was performed by interpolation of the system matrices, which used the least square method as the function of LPC rotational speed. By using linear system matrices of design point, the LQR controller which used control variables for the fuel flow and the LPC bleed air was designed.
