LCD-based Polarized Stereoscopic Projection with Improved Light Efficiency

  • A new configuration of LCD projectors for polarized stereoscopic projection having no light loss in the polarization process is suggested. In the proposed system, two polarizing filters that are employed in the conventional LCD polarized stereoscopic projection system causing additional light loss and image distortion are excluded by taking into account of polarization property of the LCD projector and image processing techniques. From some experimental results by using the Type-1 LCD projectors, light loss of the proposed system occurring in the polarization process is found to be zero.

  • 유리섬유/nylon 6 복합재료의 계면결합강도를 증가시키기 위하여 r-APS(r-Aminopropyltriethoxysilane)로 유리섬유의 표면을 처리 하였다. 이때 표면처리의 최적 조건을 찾기위해서 처리후 기기분석과 계면결합강도 측정 등을 하였다. 농도, pH, 처리시간, 온도를 변화시키면서 표면처리를 한 후 흡착량을 살펴본 결과 처리 농도에 의해서는 흡착량이 단조증가하였으며 처리시간에 따라서는 5분정도에서, 처리온도에 의해서는 30C 부근에서 최대 흡착량을 보였다. 또한 pH에 따른 흡착량은 silane의 고유 pH인 10.5부근에서 최대치를 나타냈다. FR-IR 분석에 의하면 NH2의 NH3 bending mode가 1607cm-1, 1575cm-1에서 나타났으며 SiOH의 SiO band는 960cm-1에서 나타났다. XPS를 통해서는 N ls와 Si 2p의 존재를 확인할 수 있었다. 표면처리된 유리섬유와 matrix인 nylon 6를 이용해 단섬유내장시편을 만들어 fragmentation test를 한 결과 계면결합강도는 약 5분의 처리시간과 1%(wt%)의 농도에서 최대값을 보였다.

PROPERTIES OF OH/IR STARS WITH THE IRAS LRS SPECTRA

  • 1607 OH/IR stars associated with IRAS sources are assembled and the IRAS LRS spectra of 980 OH/IR stars are examined in this paper. The nature of the circumstellar dust for these sources is classified. The distributions of these subgroups of OH/IR stars in the IRAS color-color diagram and the period-color diagram are interpreted with their evolutionary status. The Galactic and the velocity distributions of these subgroups of OH/IR stars are also presented. The correlations among the expanding velocities of the envelopes, colors, periods and the pumping efficiencies for subgroups of OH/IR stars are investigated to outline the evolutionary status of OH/IR stars.

A Study on the Origin and Structural Development of Do-po (도포 형태의 전래와 발전 양상에 관한 실증적 고찰)

  • The origin and structural development of Do-po have been studied with a consideration of the back piece of Do-po in this paper. This study found that Do-po was in this paper. This study found that Do-po was originally imported from China. This paper reports that an earlier record on Do-po is found in an epitaph(1564) than the record found in S njoSilnok(1607) which is conventionally known as the earliest record on Do-po. The structure of Do-po has been widely known as an“attachment of J n-sam”on slitted back piece of the outwear. However, this study shows that Do-po has been formed by inserting the gusset of the front piece into the back piece of the outwear Jik-nyung. This change can be considered as the economical and practical needs to save the cloth or by the aethetical need of simpler clothing. This study also classifies the shape of gussets largely into nine classes according to the temporal development in the shape of gussets.

  • To assure safe usage of railway rolling stock, it is important to evaluate the strength of the wheel which is core part in bogies. However, conventional standard testing methods using destructive technique could not evaluate mechanical properties of degraded wheels during rolling stock maintenance work. Instrumented indentation test is a new way to evaluate nondestructively the strength of mechanical components by analyzing indentation load-depth curves. In this study, to evaluate tensile strength of the wheel, instrumented indentation test is performed nondestructively according to KS B 0950. Furthermore, test results are examined by tensile test in accordance with KS R 9221.

한국천문연구원 역서 데이터베이스 구축

  • 한국천문연구원(이하 천문연)은 지식경제부에서 주관하고 행정안전부와 한국정보화 진흥원에서 시행한 '2009년도 지식정보화 사업'의 일환으로 우리나라 역서에 대한 데이터베이스를 구축하여 운영 중이다. 현재 1607년부터 2009년까지의 기간중 자료를 구할 수 있는 약 220년간의 역서에 대해 원문이미지와 텍스트(일부 연도 제외) 자료를 서비스 하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 시대별 한국에서 사용된 역법과 역서의 변천에 대해 간단히 언급하고, 역서 데이터베이스 구축과정에 대해서 소개하고자 한다. 그리고 현재 천문연에서 구축한 역서 데이터베이스 목록과 더불어 1830년 시헌력 역서를 예로 역서에 포함된 내용에 대해서도 간략히 소개 하고자 한다.

  • 현대사회의 고속 고급 교통수단에 대한 요구에 부응하고, 고유가 및 온실가스 등 원유 기반의 교통 시스템의 문제를 해결하기 위해 교통 수단의 다양화 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 석유문제가 심각한 상황으로 전개될 경우, 대륙과 대륙 그리고 국가와 국가 사이의 장거리 이동을 할 수 있는 교통수단은 전기로 추진되는 철도이다. 현재 대중화 되어있는 바퀴 식 철도차량은 초고속 운전 시 기하급수적으로 증가하는 소음, 공기저항 동력 전달의 한계, 레일의 마모라는 문제를 가지고 있으며 이러한 문제점을 가진 철도차량의 대안으로 선형 추진 시스템 연구가 진행 중이다[1] 국내에서는 LSM(Linear Synchronous motor)에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있으나 LPM 기반 철도 차량 추진시스템에 대한 연구는 이루어지지 않고 있다. 그러나 LSM 추진 시스템에 비하여 LPM 추진 시스템은 우수한 등판 능력, 광역범위의 주행 가능 영역, 경량화에 따른 높은 에너지 효율, 건설비 저감등 다양한 장점을 가지고 있으며 충분한 전략성을 가지고 있다.

The natural convection in a three dimensional enclosure using color capturing technique and computation (색상 포착 기법과 수치계산을 이용한 3차원 밀폐 공간내의 자연대류 연구)

  • The natural convection of a horizontal layer heated from below in a three-dimensional rectangular enclosure was dealt with both numerically and experimentally. The aspect ratios are 1:2:3.5 and Boussinesq fluid is water with the Prandtl number of 5.0. This experimental study showed how to measure the variation of temperature field in a 3-D rectangular enclosure with small aspect ratios by using TLC(Thermochromic Liquid Crystal) and color capturing technique. The experimental temperature field had periodic characteristics of 75 sec at Ra=2.37*10$^{5}$ . But the numerical convection flow had periodic characteristics of 79 sec at the same Rayleigh number. In three dimensional computation it was found that the convection roll structure bifurcated from four rolls to two rolls as the Rayleigh number is increased.

3 Dimensional Flow Analysis of Small Regenerative Pump (소형 재생펌프의 3차원 성능 해석에 관한 연구)

  • Performance of a regenerative pump is evaluated based on the calculated through flows using the CFX-TASCflow code. Flow calculations are performed in one vane to vane space of the impeller and side channel. The flow is very complex three dimensional with a strong radial vortex due to centrifugal force and an axial vortex due to re-circulating flow between the impeller and the side channel. Momentum exchange on the plane between the impeller and the side channel are evaluated to estimate design parameters and viscous losses in the pump. The present study contributes to showing the capability of flow simulation of complex flow in the regenerative pump by comparing the calculated performance with the measured value.

Active Vibration Control of a Opened Box Structure By a Model Reference Neuro-Controller (모델기반 신경망 제어기를 이용한 열린 박스 구조물의 진동제어)

  • Vibration causes noise and sometimes makes structure unstable. Especially, due to the efforts of lightening, deformation of flexible structure is increased in its shape. Just a little disturbance can cause vibration and low damping ratio makes residual vibration last long time. This research is concerned with the model reference neuro-controller design for the vibration suppression of smart structures. By using a model reference neurocontroller, which is one of the algorithms of adaptive control, we performed an adaptive control of flexible cantilever plate and opened box structure with piezoelectric materials. The proposed adaptive vibration control algorithm, a model reference neuro-controller, was proved in its effectiveness by applying to an opened box structure. The model reference neuro-controller is implemented with DSP, and the real-time adaptive vibration control experiment results confirm that the model reference neuro-controller is reliable.
