  • The types of the multi-family housing are classified into the independent type, the mixed type and the public type by the approaching method. The characteristics of the independent type are the rear layout type(41.66%), the "ㅋ"type(56.14%), and the 2-room type(54.54%). In the mixed one, they are the front layout type(36.84%), the "ㄱ"type(42.10%), and the 1-room type(49.60%) and in the public one they are the front layout type(51.61%), the "ㅡ"type(41.99%). and the 1-room type(84.11%). It is found that the housing types are gradually tuned into the multi-family housing such as the independent house in the urban area due to changing the major independent type(82.60%) in the early of the 1990s to the public type(74.19%) in the end of the 1990s.

  • The aim of the present study is to compare the vowel formants between generations in Daegu dialect. 20 Daegu dialect speakers were participated in this study; 10 were in their 40's, the other 10were in their 20's. As a result, the distance of /ㅣ/ and /ㅐ/, and, /ㅡ/ and /ㅓ/ in 20's is further than 40's, while the distance of /ㅗ/ and in 20's is closer than 40's. It seems reasonable to conclude that vowels in Daegu dialect change to have their own stable space, but /ㅗ/ and /ㅜ/ does not.

  • Asan Oeam village is a town that has been formed since about 500 years ago. It is a folk village centered on Yean Lee and designated as National Folk Cultural Property No. 236. However, the original shape of the thatch, which has regional characteristics, is disappearing. Therefore, I want to study the architectural characteristics of the house which is well preserved in the original shape. The Genjaegotaek is located in the center of the Oeam village. The composition of the house consists of a Munganchae, Salangchae, Anchae, Sadang. The Anchae is an 'ㄱ' shaped house, and it is shaped like a 'ㅁ' which is opened by facing. The wide yard in front of the Salangchae is made of strangely shaped rocks, a hundred-year-old pine, old pagodas, ponds, pavilion. Outside the main gate, there is an 'ㅡ' shape thatch on the west. The Galabjib of Geonjaegotaek is a servant house, and the shape is a ㄱ type. The plane remained well in its original shape, thatch is consisting of a kitchen-room-daecheong maru-room. A Galabjib of Geonjaegotaek can not represent all the thatch of a Oeam village. However, it is expected that this study will be used as a basic data when the study by the thatch in this area is conducted through the analysis of the type.

  • We described how to implement character expressions and animations that play an important role in expressing emotions and personalities in low-polygon character animation. With the development of the video industry, character expressions and mouth-shaped lip-syncing in animation can realize natural movements at a level close to real life. However, for non-experts, it is difficult to use expert-level advanced technology. Therefore, We aimed to present a guide for low-budget low-polygon character animators or non-experts to create mouth-shaped lip-syncing more naturally using accessible and highly usable features. A total of 8 mouth shapes were developed for mouth shape lip-sync animation: 'ㅏ', 'ㅔ', 'ㅣ', 'ㅗ', 'ㅜ', 'ㅡ', 'ㅓ' and a mouth shape that expresses a labial consonant. In the case of facial expression animation, a total of nine animations were produced by adding highly utilized interest, boredom, and pain to the six basic human emotions classified by Paul Ekman: surprise, fear, disgust, anger, happiness, and sadness. This study is meaningful in that it makes it easy to produce natural animation using the features built into the modeling program without using complex technologies or programs.

  • Owing to generalization of design competitions since 1990s, various design methods was tried in elementary middle high school design competitions. Therefore, to analyze design characteristics of elementary middle high school is very meaningful. In this context, this study is the most important purpose for analyzing layout plans and their trends in prizewinners of elementary middle high school design competitions and for furnishing basic datum for next school design. The result of this study is following : (1) The layout patterns of school buildings are classified into 12 types. (2) Entrance design is divided into 6 types(structure, column and wall, open, half structure, general, and mixed type). (3) Square design is grouped into 7 types. (4) Pedestrian mall is sorted out 6 types(straight lineal, curve, curve and square, straight lineal and curve, and straight lineal and curve and square type). (5) Entrance types of vehicle and pedestrian are classified into 4 types(parallel, ㅡ separation, ㄱ separation, and opposite separation type) Analysis shows that the best applying for layout patterns of school buildings is ㄷ type and ㅌ type, for entrance design is structure type, for square design is ${\square}$ type and ${\bigcirc}$ type, for pedestrian mall is straight lineal and square type, and for entrance types of vehicle and pedestrian is parallel type.

The case study performed in this study from July 23 to July 31 is based on ten housing facilities for the elderly located at California in USA. The results of this study were as follows; 1. The type of floor plan was classified into the U type, ㅁ type, L type, and ㅡ type. And they had an outside space called a garden(courtyard). 2. The kinds of common spaces could be grouped as the space for basic living, for leisure, and for convenient living. Also it was all common that the housing facility had shared livingroom, shared diningroom, activity room and garden. The type of the common spaces was categorized into two types, the centralized type where the shared space was located at the center of the housing facilities, and the distributed type, depending on the degree of separation between common spaces and units. ,3. The kinds of units was classified into studio, oneroom, one bedroom and two bedroom.

  • This paper aims to analyze whether the phenomenon of /u/$\rightarrow$/i/ is a hypercorrection or not in the North Korean dialects. Most North Koreans pronounce /i/(gold) as /kum/ because the vowel /i/ merges into the peripheral vowel space of /u/ in their dialects. The merger of back vowel is one of most distinctive characters in North Korean dialects. But some speakers pronounce /chubann/(exile) as /chiban/. This time /u/ in peripheral space moves to /i/ in central vowel space. It seems that the vowels /i/ and /u/ exchange places with each other when they uttered in North Korean. Though it was observed that the vowel movement of /i/$\rightarrow$/u/ was caused by the merger of back vowels, the reason why vowel /u/ moves in the opposite direction, that is, the central space of vowel /i/ has not been analyzed yet. This experiment starts with hypothesis that the movement of /u/$\rightarrow$/i/ might be caused by hypercorrection. The first step of this research is to analyze /u/$\rightarrow$/i/ pronunciation of North Koreans. The second step is to compare the results of North Korean pronunciation with those of South Korean pronunciation and observe whether tendency of /u/$\rightarrow$/i/pronunciation can also be found in the standard Seoul dialect and other South Korean dialects.

Man has lived in this area form the prehistoric age. But from 13C to 14C and in 16C most of people had left this islands by external invasion (Japan) and from 17C many people have lived in real earnest. This area did not have cultural interchange easily than inland area because of geographical conditions, Therefore, so far, many traditional factors have been handed down and especially, a good many commoner's traditional houses exist. The time of builging of these houses is mainly 19C and building shape of those days remains nearly as it is. About 450 houses have been investigated for 5 years. The composition of the houses is composed of Anchae (a centeral house), Sarangchae (an attached house of anchae) and Chukganchae (It has rest room and stores barnyard manure). Somtimes, Sarangchae was ommitted according to the circumstance of the house. Generally, the form of arrangement of house is divided into two shapes; One is 'ㅡ'shape which has only Anchae and the other is 'ㄱ' shape which has Anchae and Sarangchae.
