The tissue distribution of $TiO_2$, nanopaprticles was investigated in mice after oral administration, and skin treatment. Male mice were treated with the dose of 5 g/kg of $TiO_2$ for three consecutive days and sacrificed at 24 hours after the last administration. As results, the orally administered $TiO_2$ nanoparticels were shown to be distributed in the testis, lung, and brain at 24 hours after the last treatment. Kidney does not seem to be the main target of $TiO_2$ nanoparticle distribution. It means that $TiO_2$ nanoparticles (17 nm) are easily absorbed through entero-gastric system and may cause toxicity in brain, lung, and reproductive organs. The distribution of skin treatment showed the same pattern like oral administration.

Two types of $TiO_2$, nanotube and nanoparticle, were used for the mesoporous coatings by doctor blade technique followed by calcining at $450^{\circ}C$. The coatings were used as working materials for dye-sensitized solar cells (DSCs) later on and their photovoltaic characterization was carried out. The nanoparticle was synthesized from hydrogen titanate nanotube by hydrothermal treatment at $180^{\circ}C$ for 24 hr. The solar energy conversion efficiency (${\eta}$) of DSCs prepared by this nanoparticle reached 8.07% with $V_{OC}$ (open-circuit potential) of 0.81 V, $I_{SC}$ (short-circuit current) of $18.29mV/cm^2$, and FF (fill factor) of 66.95%, respectively. For the preparation of nanotube, the concentration of NaOH solution varied from 3 M to 5 M. In the case of DSCs fabricated with nanotubes from 3 M NaOH solution, the ${\eta}$ reached 6.19% with $V_{OC}$ of 0.77 V, $I_{SC}$ of $12.41mV/cm^2$, and FF of 64.49%, respectively. On the other hand, in the case of 5 M solution, the photovoltaic ${\eta}$ was decreased with 4.09% due to a loss of photocarriers. In conclusion, it is demonstrated that the solar energy conversion efficiency of DSCs made from $TiO_2$ nanoparticle showed best results among those under investigation.

TiO$_2$ nanoparticles were prepared by photochemical synthesis in the dry toluene. The shape and size of the amorphous TiO$_2$ nanoparticles were investigated by transmission electron microscope. The particle size was varied by the contents of the titanium (IV) isopropoxide in dry toluene. Especially networked TiO$_2$ particles were formed from 40% titanium (IV) isopropoxide solution. The optical absorption spectra, photoluminescence, and PL excitation spectra of TiO$_2$ in dry toluene were obtained. The were shifted to the short wavelength as the contents of TiO$_2$ were increased. PL excitation had the peak at the wavelength regions is which the absorption increased steeply.
To fabricate $TiO_2$ nanoparticle-based dye sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) at a low-temperature, DSSCs were fabricated using hydropolymer and ZnO nanoparticles composites for the electron transport layer around a low-temperature ($200^{\circ}C$). ZnO nanoparticle with 20 nm and 60 nm diameter were used and Pt was deposited as a counter electrode on ITO/glass using an RF magnetron sputtering. We investigate the effect of ZnO nanoparticle concentration in hydropolymer and ZnO nanoparticle solution on the photoconversion performance of the low temperature fabricated ($200^{\circ}C$) DSSCs. Using cis-bis(isothiocyanato)bis(2,20 bipyridy1-4,40 dicarboxylato) ruthenium (II) bis-tetrabutylammonium (N719) dye as a sensitizer, the corresponding device performance and photo-physical characteristics are investigated through conventional physical characterization techniques. The effect of thickness of the ZnO photoelectrode and the morphology of the ZnO nanoparticles with the variations of hydropolymer to ZnO ratio on the photoconversion performance are also investigated. The morphology of the ZnO layer after sintering was examined using a field emission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM). 60 nm ZnO nanoparticle DSSCs showed an incident photon-to-current conversion efficiency (IPCE) value of about 7% higher than that of 20 nm ZnO nanoparticle DSSCs. The maximum parameters of the short circuit current density ($J_{sc}$), the open circuit potential ($V_{oc}$), fill factor (ff), and efficiency ($\eta$) in the 60 nm ZnO nanoparticle-based DSSC devices were 4.93 mA/$cm^2$, 0.56V, 0.40, and 1.12%, respectively.

In this study, the H2S gas sensing characteristics were evaluated using surface-modified SnO2 microparticles by tip sonication. The surface-modified SnO2 microparticles were synthesized using the following sequential process. First, bare SnO2 microparticles were synthesized via a hydrothermal method. Then, the surfaces of bare SnO2 microparticles were modified with Ti nanoparticles during tip sonication. The sensing characteristics of SnO2 microparticles modified with Ti were systematically investigated in the range of 100-300℃, compared with the bare SnO2 microparticles. In this study, we discuss in detail the improved H2S sensing characteristics of SnO2 microparticles via Ti nanoparticle modification.
Core-shell TiO2/Ag nanoparticles were synthesized by a modified sol-gel process and the reverse micelle method using acetoxime as a reducing agent in water/dodecylbenzenesulfonic acid (DDBA)/cyclohexane. The structure, shape, and size of the TiO2/Ag nanoparticles were investigated using X-ray diffraction (XRD), UV-visible spectroscopy, scanning electron microscope (SEM), transmission electron microscope (TEM), and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The size of TiO2/Ag nanoparticles could be controlled by changing the [water]/[DDBA] molar ratio values. The size and the polydispersity of TiO2/Ag nanoparticles increased when the [water]/[DDBA] molar ratio rose. The resultant Ag nanoparticles over the anatase crystal TiO2 nanoparticles exhibited a strong surface plasmon resonance (SPR) peak at about 430 nm. The SPR peak shifted to the red side with the increase in nanoparticle size. Conductive pastes with 70 wt% TiO2/Ag nanoparticles were prepared, and the pastes were coated on the PET films using a screen-printing method. The printed paste films of the TiO2/Ag nanoparticles demonstrated greater surface resistance than conventional Ag paste in the range of 405~630 μΩ/sq.

Synthesis of $TiO_2$ nanoparticle paste is one of the important technologies in dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSC). Performances of the DSSCs from synthesized $TiO_2$ nanoparticle paste was similar or better than those from commercial sources. In addition. cell efficiency was further improved by using large scattering $TiO_2$ particles. Those results was utilized in manufacturing high efficiency DSSC modules.

$TiO_2$ colloidal solution was electrosprayed for preparing a conductive thin film with high quality. Electrospray is a technique of liquid dispersion electrically and a good method of manufacturing nanoparticle, nanofiber, porous membrane, film preparation and coating. Water and ethanol were used as solvents and their mixing ratio was varied for studying the influence of solvent volatile on nanoparticle dispersion. Various nozzles to control the thru-put of solutions.were examined. Integrated analytical method and scanning electron microscope were used to analyze integrity and microscopic images.
10 wt.% and 20 wt.%$Li-TiO_2$ composite powders are synthesized by a sol-gel method using titanium isopropoxide and $Li_2CO_3$ as precursors. The as-received amorphous 10 wt.%$Li-TiO_2$ composite powders crystallize into the anatase-type crystal structure upon calcination at $450^{\circ}C$, which then changes to the rutile phase at $750^{\circ}C$. The asreceived 20 wt%$Li-TiO_2$ composite powders, on the other hand, crystallize into the anatase-type structure. As the calcination temperature increases, the anatase $TiO_2$ phase gets transformed to the $LiTiO_2$ phase. The peaks for the samples obtained after calcination at $900^{\circ}C$ mainly exhibit the $LiTiO_2$ and $Li_2TiO_3$ phases. For a comparison of the photocatalytic activity, 10 wt.% and 20 wt.% $Li-TiO_2$ composite powders calcined at $450^{\circ}C$, $600^{\circ}C$, and $750^{\circ}C$ are used. The 20 wt.%$Li-TiO_2$ composite powders calcined at $600^{\circ}C$ show excellent efficiency for the removal of methylorange.
