솔-젤법에 의해 제작된 $TiO_2-$SnO_2$ 박막의 특성 (Characteristics of $TiO_2-$SnO_2$ Thin Films Fabricated Using Sol-Gel Method)

  • $TiO_2-SnO_2$ thin films are fabricated using sol-gel method. In case the amount of water required hydrolysis smaller than that for stoichiometry, Ti sol forms clear sol which has normal chain structure. On the contrary, in case the amount of water required hydrolysis larger than that for stoichiometry, Ti sol forms suspended sol which has cluster structure. The thickness of thin films increase about $0.03{\sim}0.04{\mu}m$ every a dipping. The permittivity and dissipation factor of $TiO_2-SnO_2$ thin films decrease with increasing frequency. Thin films show semiconductive characteristics above $400^{\cric}C$.

  • The Powder characteristics and sintering behavior of $SiO_2$ coated $BaTiO_3$ were studied. $BaTiO_3$ powders were synthesized by the liquid mix method developed by Pechini, and silica coating was prepared by alkoxide hydrolysis method with TEOS and ethanol. The particle size of the $BaTiO_3$ powders was 35 nm and the thickness of the $SiO_2$ coating layer was 5 nm. As the $SiO_2$ content increased, the $SiO_2$ layers improved the powder dispersion by increasing electrostatic repulsion between the $BaTiO_3$ particles. Effects of MgO coating on microstructure and dielectric properties of $BaTiO_3$ have been studied compared with mechanically MgO mixed $BaTiO_3$. MgO coated $BaTiO_3$ particles were prepared by a homogeneous precipitation method using $MgCl_2\cdot 6H_2O$ and urea. MgO coated $BaTiO_3$ exhibited homogeneous microstructure compared with mixed samples. XRD analysis revealed that Mg substitution for the Ti site in the MgO mixed sample was much greater than in the coated one. Electrical properties of MgO mixed and coated $BaTiO_3$ were affected by the diffusion behavior of Mg in $BaTiO_3$ lattice.

  • These days, according to surprising development of communication enterprises, every soft of devices is getting smaller and cheaper. Among these Devices, microwave dielectric ceramics are studied and progressed briskly as the materials of dielectric resonator. Dielectric properties of BaO-S $M_{2}$ $O_{3}$-Ti $O_{2}$, one of the BaO Lnsub 2/ $O_{3}$-Ti $O_{2}$ (Ln=La, Sm, Nd, Pr…) system, synthesized by solid-reaction and coprecipitation method were investigated. Disk-type samples were sintered at 1250-1400.deg. C for 2hrs. As a result, single phase was not synthesized in both method. First created the second phase of S $M_{2}$ $Ti_{2}$ $O_{7}$, and then the last phase of $Ba_{3.75}$S $m_{9.5}$ $Ti_{18}$ $O_{54}$, Ti $O_{2}$, and $Ba_{2}$ $Ti_{9}$ $O_{20}$. When the sample was sintered at 1280.deg. C (in solid reaction method) and at 1310.deg. C (in coprecipitation method), it obtained highest dielectric constant (72.96 and 71.70, respectively) and high Q value. Above that temperature, dielectric constant and Q value decreased because of lattice defect according to oxygen vacancies........

Sol-gel법으로 이산화티탄(TiO2)을 저온소성 도포시킨 경량골재콘크리트의 아세트알데히드(CH3CHO) 제거 특성 (The CH3CHO Removal Characteristics of Lightweight Aggregate Concrete with TiO2 Spreaded by Low Temperature Firing using Sol-gel Method)

  • 최근 대기오염 물질을 제거하기 위하여 $TiO_2$ 등의 광촉매 재료를 사용한 기능성콘크리트에 대한 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 이들 연구에서 $TiO_2$의 흡착은 콘크리트에 직접 혼합하거나, 현탁액을 표면에 직접 도포하는 방법을 사용하고 있다. 이 중 콘크리트에 $TiO_2$를 직접 혼합하는 방법은 $TiO_2$의 사용량에 비하여 효능이 떨어져 표면에 직접 도포하는 방법이 많이 이용된다. $TiO_2$의 표면도포는 광촉매의 활성화와 접착성 증대를 위하여 $400^{\circ}C$ 이상의 고온 열처리를 실시하게 되며, 이는 콘크리트 수화생성물의 탈수 수축으로 내부균열을 발생시키는 원인이 되기도 한다. 이에 이 연구에서는 $TiO_2$의 저온도포가 가능한 Sol-gel법으로 $TiO_2$를 제조하였으며 펄라이트 사용 경량골재콘크리트에 저온 고정화하여 $TiO_2$ 도포 성능을 평가하였다. 또한 펄라이트 입경을 2.5~5.0 mm와 5.0 mm이상으로 구분하여 펄라이트 입경, $TiO_2$ 혼입방법과 혼입률 및 시간경과에 따른 $CH_3CHO$ 제거 특성을 검토하였다. 실험결과, Sol-gel법으로 제조한 $TiO_2$$120^{\circ}C$에서 저온 도포할 때 XRF 정량분석에서 $TiO_2$ 38%, $SiO_2$ 29%, CaO 18% 순으로 나타나 $TiO_2$ 도포율은 높게 나타났다. 또한 펄라이트 입경 2.5~5.0 mm에서 $TiO_2$를 저온도포한 경량골재콘크리트의 $CH_3CHO$ 제거 특성은 Sol-gel법으로 제조된 $TiO_2$를 7% 표면 도포하였을 경우 94%로 나타나 10%를 혼입할 때 72%에 비해 약 20%정도 높게 나타났다. 또한 펄라이트 입경 5.0 mm이상에서 $TiO_2$를 10%로 치환하여 혼합하였을 경우 $CH_3CHO$ 제거율은 69%로 펄라이트 입경 2.5~5.0 mm에 대한 72%와 비슷하게 나타나 펄라이트 입경이 $CH_3CHO$ 제거율에 미치는 영향은 크지 않았다. 시간 경과에 따른 $CH_3CHO$ 제거 특성은 전 시험편의 10시간 평균 제거율이 20시간 전체 제거율의 84% 수준으로 나타나 반응 초기에 제거율이 높은 것으로 나타났다.

BaCO3-TiO2계의 고상반응에 관한 연구 (A Study on Solid Reaction of BaCO3-TiO2 System)

  • Diffusion coupling experiment was done to study expansion of body and soild reaction in BaCO3-TiO2 system. Specimen of BaCO3 and TiO2 was formed with Pt-mark's method. Each specimen was fired at interval of 25℃ from 900℃ to 1000℃ for 2hrs. After that, specimen was fixed with resin and polished. Product layers of specimen were observed with SEM and EDS. The result were following; 1. Diffusion component is Ba2+, which diffuse toward TiO2. 2. Large crack between layer of BaCO3 and Ba2TiO4 was generated because of difference of thermal expansion coefficient. 3. Ba2TiO4 is formed to TiO2 body by the reaction of BaTiO3 and BaO and its structure is very porous. 4. BaTiO3 changes immediately to Ba2TiO4 by the reaction of BaO. But BaTiO3 which formed by the reaction of TiO2 and Ba2TiO4 exsists as layer because the diffusion distance of Ba2+ is far.

수산염법으로 합성한 $SrTiO_3$ 소결체의 유전특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Dielectric Properties of $SrTiO_3$ Sintered Body Synthesized by Oxalate Method)

  • The synthesis of SrTiO3 powders having high purity and homogeneous submicron particle size was attempted by the oxalate method. The microstructure and dielectric properties of SrTiO3 based boundary layer capacitor (BLC) were investigated. Strontium titanyl oxalate[SrTiO(C2O4)2.4H2O] was prepared from the mixing solution of (Sr, Ti) using oxalic acid(H2C2O4) as a precipitating agent at 8$0^{\circ}C$. The crystalline SrTiO3 powder was obtained by thermal decomposition of the precipitate above $600^{\circ}C$. The crystalline SrTiO3 powder containing Nb2O5 as a dopant, TiO2 and SiO2 as additives was sintered at 1360~144$0^{\circ}C$ in the reducing atmosphere to get semiconductive SrTiO3. Insulating material containing PbO-Bi2O3-B2O3 frit was printed on the sintered semiconductive SrTiO3 and fired at 120$0^{\circ}C$ for 2h to get the grain boundary diffusion.

Effects of pH on Preparation of Au-Coated $TiO_2$ Nanoparticles by Deposition-Precipitation Method

  • We prepared the Au-coated $TiO_2$ (Au/$TiO_2$) nanoparticles by deposition-precipitation (DP) method with and without bases (urea or NaOH) and investigated the effects of pH on the preparation of Au/$TiO_2$ nanoparticles for various kinds of bases. For the DP method without bases, the Au nanoparticles in the diameter of about 50 nm were generated in the solution by the reduction reaction with trisodium citrate and they did not deposit on the surface of $TiO_2$. For the DP method with bases, Au precursors deposited on the surface of $TiO_2$ and then reduced to the Au nanoparticles in the diameter of 4-5 nm on the surface of $TiO_2$ by the reaction with trisodium citrate.

  • TiO2 powder was adsorbed on the surface of mica using the heterocoagulation method in water TiO2 powder was prepared from hydrolysis of titanium-iso propoxide in a mixed solvent of anhydrous ethanol and water. When the molar ratio of water to titanium iso-propoxide was 0.25 monodispersed spherical TiO2 particles were obtained. The prepared TiO2 powder showed anatase phase after heat treatment at 50$0^{\circ}C$ for 2 h and then transformed to rutile phase after heat treatment at 100$0^{\circ}C$ for 2h. The iso-electric points of TiO2 and Mica were pH 3.9 and pH 3.25 respectively which were measured by the Z-potential analysis in water base. The maximum Z-potential difference between two powders was observed in the range of pH 3.6~3.7 TiO2 powder was adsorbed on the surface of mica by heterocoagulation method in pH 3.6~3,7 The properties of prepared TiO2 powder was haracterized by TG-DTA, XRD and SEM The morphology and thermal properties of TiO2-adsorbed mica were examined.

교정용 와이어 및 브라켓에 이산화티탄 광촉매 코팅 시 코팅방법에 따른 비교연구 (A comparative study of physical properties of $TiO_2$ thin films according to a coating method on orthodontic wires and brackets)

  • 본 연구는 항 교정장치의 개발에 도움이 되고자 이산화티탄 광촉매의 코팅 시 안정적이고 효과적인 방법을 찾기 위하여 시행되었다. 시판되고 있는 교정용 와이어와 브라켓에 sol-gel법, CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition)법 및 PE-CVD (Plasma Enhanced-CVD)법으로 이산화티탄을 각각 코팅한 다음 각 방법으로 코팅된 이산화티탄 박막의 특성을 알아보고자 주사전자현미경을 이용하여 각 시편의 코팅박막 표면의 거칠기를 관찰하였고 adhesive tape pull test를 이용하여 코팅박막의 접착강도를 측정하였다. 메틸렌블루용액에 각 시편을 침지시킨 후 시간경과에 따른 메틸렌블루용액의 농도변화 측정을 통해 코팅박막의 분해능을 평가하였으며 불화나트륨 용액에 각 시편을 침지시킨 후 주사전자현미경을 이용하여 표면부식 정도를 관찰함으로써 불소화합물에 대한 내부식성을 평가하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 코팅박막의 표면은 CVD법 및 PE-CVD법이 sol-gel법이나 코팅되지 않은 시편에 비해 더 매끄러웠다. 코팅박막의 접착강도는 PE-CVD법이 가장 높았고, CVD법, sol-gel법의 순으로 낮게 나타났다. 코팅박막의 메틸렌블루 분해능은 PE-CVD법이 가장 높았고, CVD법, sol-gel법의 순으로 낮게 나타났다. 코팅박막의 불소화합물에 대한 내부식성은 CVD법 및 PE-CVD법이 sol-gel법에 비해 높게 나타났다. 이상의 결과는 교정용 와이어 및 브라켓의 이산화티탄 광촉매 코팅 시 CVD법 및 PE-CVD법이 sol-gel법보다 적절한 방법임을 시사하였다.

초음파 화학 반응을 이용한 WOx 도핑 TiO2 광촉매 나노 분말의 합성 (WOx Doped TiO2 Photocatalyst Nano Powder Produced by Sonochemistry Method)

  • Nano-technology is a super microscopic technology to deal with structures of 100 nm or smaller. This technology also involves the developing of $TiO_2$ materials or $TiO_2$ devices within that size. The aim of the present paper is to synthesize $WO_x$ doped nano-$TiO_2$ by the Sonochemistry method and to evaluate the effect of different percentages (0.5-5 wt%) of tungsten oxide load on $TiO_2$ in methylene blue (MB) elimination. The samples were characterized using such different techniques as X-ray diffraction (XRD), TEM, SEM, and UV-VIS absorption spectra. The photo-catalytic activity of tungsten oxide doped $TiO_2$ was evaluated through the elimination of methylene blue using UV-irradiation (315-400nm). The best result was found with 5 wt% $WO_x$ doped $TiO_2$. It has been confirmed that $WO_x-TiO_2$ could be excited by visible light (E<3.2 eV) and that the recombination rate of electrons/holes in $WO_x-TiO_2$ declined due to the existence of $WO_x$ doped in $TiO_2$.
