Pulse oximetry is a well established non-invasive optical technique for monitoring the SpO$_2$ during anaesthesia, recovery and intensive care. Pulse oximeters determine the oxygen saturation level of blood by measuring the light absorption of arterial blood. The sensors consists of red and infrared light sources and photodetectors. In the measurement of the hemoglobin oxygen saturation, conventional method has required the technique of filtering of remove the noise, and of complex signal processing algorithm. So much time have required to signal processing. In this research, we separate AC signal and DC signal in the stage of signal detection. We filter the noise from each signal and convert A/D. We obtain the SpO$_2$ using the DSP algorithm.

In this paper, $Ba_{0.5}$Sr$_{0.5}$TiO$_3$ thin-films were prepared on Pt/Ti/Si0$_2$/Si substrates by RF magnetron sp-uttering method. We investigated electric and dielectric properties of BST thin-films with various ann-ealing temperature using in-sute RTA. Deposition conditions of BST films were set substrate temperat-ure, 30$0^{\circ}C$ and working gas ratio, Ar:O$_2$=90:10. After BST films deposited, we fabricated a capacitor of MIM structure with Al top electrode for measurement. Post-annealing using RTA performed at 40$0^{\circ}C$, $600^{\circ}C$, 80$0^{\circ}C$ for 60 sec, respectively. Also we exacted crystallization and composition of BST thin-films by XRD analysis. In measurement result, this capacitors showed a dielectric constant of about 200 at 1MHz and leakage current density of 5$\times$10$^{-8}$ A/$\textrm{cm}^2$ at 1.5V Microstructure of BST thin-films exhibited effective quality in low-temperature annealed 71ms than high-temperature annealed 71ms.s.s.
Background/Aims: This study aimed to assess the efficacy of a novel aerosol-exposure protection (AP) mask in preventing coronavirus disease in healthcare professionals during upper gastrointestinal endoscopy and to evaluate its clinical feasibility. Methods: In Study 1, three healthy volunteers volitionally coughed with and without the AP mask in a cleanroom. Microparticles were visualized and counted with a specific measurement system and compared with and without the AP mask. In Study 2, 30 patients underwent endoscopic resection with the AP mask covering the face, and the SpO2 was measured throughout the procedure. Results: In Study 1, the median number of microparticles in volunteers 1, 2, and 3 with and without the AP mask was 8.5 and 110.0, 7.0 and 51.5, and 8.0 and 95.0, respectively (p<0.01). Using the AP mask, microparticles were reduced by approximately 92%. The median distances of microparticle scattering without the AP mask were 60, 0, and 68 in volunteers 1, 2, and 3, respectively. In Study 2, the mean SpO2 was 96.3%, and desaturation occurred in three patients. Conclusion: The AP mask could provide protection from aerosol exposure and can be safely used for endoscopy in clinical practice.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop and test an explanatory model of dyspnea in patients with chronic lung disease (CLD). Methods: Participants were 181 patients with CLD, recruited from the outpatient pulmonary clinic of one university hospital in Korea. Data were collected using questionnaires, as well as measurement of 6-minute walking distance (6MWD), oxygen saturation ($SpO_2$), FEV1% predicted, and Body Mass Index (BMI). Results: The results indicated a good fit between the proposed dyspnea model and the collected data [$x^2$=91.27, p= .13, $x^2$/d.f.=1.17, Normal Fit Index= .934]. Oxygenation ($SpO_2$, = -.530), self-efficacy (= -.429), anxiety (= .253), depression (= .224), exercise endurance (6MWD, = -.211), and pulmonary function (FEV1% predicted, = -.178) had a direct effect on dyspnea (all p< .05) and these variables explained 74% of variance in dyspnea. BMI, smoking history, and social support had an indirect effect on dyspnea. Conclusion: The findings of this study suggest that comprehensive nursing interventions should focus on recovery of respiratory health and improvement of emotions, exercise ability, and nutritional status. From this perspective, pulmonary rehabilitation would be an effective strategy for managing dyspnea in patients with CLD.

With the expansion of the medical field worldwide, interest in medical devices is also increasing. However, since the field of the special nature of the medical device, is utilized in accordance with the respective devices is determined, the amount depending on the fields, to purchase a medical device is increased. Function digital parts (such as ECG, SpO2) are similar to each other, but there is a disadvantage by applying the method of designing separate each product, the reproduction of the program is difficult, Each product, each product the various OS is used, so that either can not be reused even if a program for the same function, it takes time to develop additional. In this paper, I would like to propose a study of the implementation of the platform of the biological signal of medical equipment to try solve the problems of the medical equipment of these.
The solubility and the physicochemical property (refractive index) in the NaCl-$CaCl_2$-$H_2O$ and KCl-$CaCl_2$-$H_2O$ systems were determined at $50^{\circ}C$ and the phase diagrams and the diagrams of physicochemical property vs composition were plotted. One invariant point, two univariant curves, and two crystallization zones, corresponding to sodium Chloride (or potassium chloride), dihydrate ($CaCl_2{\cdot}2H_2O$) showed up in the phase diagrams of the ternary systems. The mixing parameters ${\theta}_{M,Ca}$ and ${\Psi}_{M,Ca,Cl}$ (M = Na or K) and equilibrium constant $K_{sp}$ were evaluated in NaCl-$CaCl_2-H_2O$ and KCl-$CaCl_2-H_2O$ systems by least-squares optimization procedure, in which the single-salt Pitzer parameters of NaCl, KCl and $CaCl_2$${\beta}^{(0)}$, ${\beta}^{(1)}$, ${\beta}^{(2)}$ and $C^{\Phi}$ were directly calculated from the literature. The results obtained were in good agreement with the experimental data.
This paper describes the design technique and the method of analog front-end to measure the saturation of hemoglobin with oxygen sensor. To process the $SpO_2$ value from the sensor, the current data from the sensor should be converted into voltage domain. Designed analog front-end usually converts the current data from the sensor into voltage domain data to pass it on analog-to-digital converter called ADC with a different level of gain characteristics. This circuit was fabricated in a $0.11{\mu}m$ CMOS technology and has 4 level of gain properties. The occupied area is $0.174mm^2$.
A 6-month-old male Ragdoll cat presented with exercise intolerance. On physical examination, there was a grade 2/6 systolic murmur at the right apex. Diagnostic tests, including SpO2 measurement, blood tests, radiography, echocardiography, contrast echocardiography, and electrocardiography, were performed. Severe right atrial dilation, tricuspid valve leaflets and orifice displacement, right ventricular atrialization, septal leaflet adherence, anterior leaflet tethering, and right atrioventricular junction dilation were noted on echocardiography, alongside a right-to-left atrial septal defect. Cor triatriatum dexter and left ventricular aneurysm were observed. We diagnosed this case as having Ebstein anomaly with rare congenital heart deformities; which is rare in cats.
Pulse oximetry is a non-invasive method for monitoring how much oxygenated hemoglobin is present in the blood. The principle of pulse oximetry is based on the red infrared light adsorption characteristics of oxygenated and deoxygenated hemoglobin. Even through the convenience of a pulse oximeter, its weak signal-to-noise ratio against motion artifacts and low perfusion makes it difficult to be accepted by execs devices. Several researchers have suggested the use of an adaptive noise cancellation (ANC) algorithm. They have demonstrated that ANC is feasible for reducing the effects of motion artifacts. Masimo Corporation developed a discrete saturation transformation (DST) algorithm that uses a reference signal and ANC. In commercial devices, it is very hard to escape it because Masimo's patents are very powerful and a better method is yet to be developed. This study proposes a new method that can measure noise saturation as well as accurate oxygen saturation from signals with high motion artifacts without using ANC and DST. The proposed algorithm can extract a normal signal without noise from a signal with motion artifacts. The reference signal from a pulse oximeter simulator was used for the evaluation of our proposed algorithm and achieved good results.

Diamond-like carbon (DLC) films is a metastable form of amorphous carbon containing a significant fraction of Sp3 bond. DLC films have been characterized by a range of attractive mechanical, chemical, tribological, as well as optical and electrical properties. In this study DLC films were prepared by the RF magnetron sputter system on $SiO_2$ substrates using graphite target. The effects of the post annealing temperature on the Property variation of the DLC films were examined. The DLC films were annealed at temperatures ranging from 300 to $500^{\circ}C$ using rapid thermal process equipment in vacuum. The variation of electrical property and surface morphology as a function of annealing treatment was investigated by using a Hall Effect measurement and atomic force microscopy. Raman and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analyses revealed a structural change in the DLC films.
