Fe2O3/SiO2 촉매 상에서 물과 암모니아가 함께 존재하는 황화수소의 선택적 산화 반응 (Selective Oxidation of Hydrogen Sulfide Containing Ammonia and Water Using Fe2O3/SiO2 Catalyst)

  • 본 연구는 암모니아와 물이 함께 존재하는 황화수소를 선택적 산화 반응을 통해 원소 황의 형태로 제거하는 기상 촉매 공정의 개발에 관한 것이다. 최적의 촉매를 개발하기 위해 여러 가지 금속산화물에 대한 반응성 실험 결과 $Fe_2O_3/SiO_2$ 촉매가 $240{\sim}280^{\circ}C$의 온도 범위에서 90% 이상의 $H_2S$ 전화율과 아주 낮은 $SO_2$ 방출을 나타내어 실제 공정에 적용하기에 가장 적합하였다. $Fe_2O_3/SiO_2$ 촉매 상에서 황화수소의 선택적 산화 반응에 대한 메커니즘 규명을 위하여 반응 온도, $O_2/H_2S$ 몰 비, 암모니아와 수증기의 분압이 촉매 활성에 미치는 영향에 관하여 고찰하였다. 전화율은 반응 온도가 $260^{\circ}C$에서 최대값을 보였고, $280^{\circ}C$ 이상에서는 전화율과 원소 황의 선택도가 모두 감소하는 경향을 나타내었다. $O_2/H_2S$ 비가 0.5에서 4로 증가하면 전화율이 증가하였으나 선택도는 크게 감소하였다. 암모니아 분압이 증가하면 전화율이 증가하고 $SO_2$ 발생은 감소하였으며 원소 황의 선택도가 증가하였다. 수증기가 함께 존재하면 전화율과 원소 황의 선택도는 감소하고, ATS의 선택도가 증가하였다.

헤테로폴리산 촉매를 이용한 TAME, ETBE 및 MTBE 합성반응의 연구 (Synthesis of TAME, ETBE, and MTBE Using Heteropolyacid Catalyst)

  • 고체산 촉매인 헤테로폴리산 촉매를 이용하여 대기오염 방지를 위한 옥탄가 향상제인 TAME, ETBE 및 MTBE 합성반응에 대한 실험을 고정층 상압유통식 반응장치에서 수행하였다. 일반적으로 TAME, ETBE 및 MTBE 합성반응에서 헤테로폴리산에 hetero원자와 poly원자를 치환시켜 비교한 결과, 배위된 poly원자가 W, hetero원자가 Si인 $H_4SiW_{12}O_{40}$ 촉매의 활성이 가장 우수하였고, 또한 치환된 금속에 따라 촉매의 활성이 달랐으며 이는 촉매의 산성질과 관련이 있음을 알 수 있었다. 헤테로폴리산 촉매를 이용한 합성반응에서 TAME 경우는 $FeHPW_{12}O_{40}$$K_3PM_{o12}O_{40}$이 비교적 활성이 좋았으나, ETBE나 MTBE 경우에 비해서는 다소 활성이 낮았다. 그리하여 본 연구에서는 활성이 좋은 헤테로폴리산 촉매들을 선정하여 각각에 대하여 1:1로 다음과 같이 혼합하여 $H_4SiW_{12}O_{40}$ : $Sr_2SiW_{12}O_{40}$, $H_4SiW_{12}O_{40}$ : $NaH_2PW_{12}O_{40}$, $Fe_{1.5}PW_{12}O_{40}$ : $Mg_2SiW_{12}O_{40}$$Mg_2SiW_{12}O_{40}$ : $Ba_2SiW_{12}O_{40}$ 실험한 결과, 혼합촉매들이 각각의 단일성분 촉매때보다 TBA의 전화율과 ETBE나 MTBE의 선택율이 더욱 향상되었음을 알 수 있었다.

치환형 Ferrite (Fe-Al-Ga-Si)의 특성 연구 (A Study on the Properties of Substituted Ferrite (Fe-Al-Ga-Si))

  • The crystal structure and magnetic properties of a new solid solution type ferrite $(Fe_2O_3)_5-(Al_2O_3)_{3.4}-(Ga_2O_3)_{0.6}-SiO$ were investigated using X-ray diffraction and M$\"{o}$ssbauer spectroscopy. The results of the X-ray diffraction pattern indicated that the crystal structure of the sample appears to be a cubic spinel type structure. The lattice constant (a = 8.317 ${\AA}$) decreases slightly with the substitution of $Ga_2O_3$ even though the ionic radii of the Ga ions are larger than that of the Al ions. The results can be attributed to a higher degree of covalency in the Ga-O bonds than in the Al-O and Fe-O bonds, which can also be explained using the observed M$\"{o}$ssbauer parameters, which are the magnetic hyperfine field, isomer shift, and quadrupole splitting. The drastic change in the magnetic structure according to the Ga ion substitution in the $ (Fe_2O_3)_5(Al_2O_3)_{4-x}(Ga_2O_3)_xSiO$ system and the low temperature variation have been studied through a M$\"{o}$ssbauer spectroscopy. The M$\"{o}$ssbauer spectrum at room temperature shows the superpositions of two Zeeman patterns and a strong doublet. It shows significant departures from the prototypical ferrite and is comparable with the diluted ferrite. The doublet of spectrum at room temperature appears to originate from superparamagnetic clusters and also the asymmetry of the doublet appears to be caused by the preferred orientation of the crystallites. The M$\"{o}$ssbauer spectra below room temperature show various complicated patterns, which can be explained by the freezing of the superparamagnetic clusters. On cooling, the magnetic states of the sample were various and multi critical.

  • Sphene from the McDonald pegmatite near Bancroft, Ontario, Canada was analyzed using EPMA. It contains 4.3 to 6.3 weight percent of Nb2O5 with an average formula Ca1.02(Ti0.62Al0.22Nb0.07Fe0.06Ta0.01)Si0.99(O4.85F0.16). Three types of subtitutions are possible; 1)2Ti4+=(Nb, Ta)5+ + (Al, Fe3+), 2) Ti + O = (Al, Fe3+) + (F, OH), and 3) 2Ti + O = Fe2+ + (Nb, Ta)5+ + (F, OH). T재 different schemes of substitutions for balancing the analysis are considered when the iron is either all ferric or all ferrous. Assuming stoichiometry fo Ca and Si, a general formula derived from the two different schemes is Ca(Ti0.64Al0.22Fe3+0.06-X {{{{Fe_{x}^{2+} }} Nb0.01)Sio4.80-XF0.16(OH)0.04+x.

X-선 분말 회절법을 이용한 소결광 구성광물상의 정량분석 (Quantitative analysis of iron ore sinter by X-ray powder diffraction method)

  • 소결광을 구성하는 광물상(hematite, magnetite, calcium ferrite, slag)들을 X선 내부표준법을 이용하여 정량분석을 하였다. 분석에는 표준물질로 NaF와 SiO$_2$를 선택하여 교정곡선을 작성하여 내부표준법에 적용하였다. 소결광내에 존재하는 calcium ferrite는 순수 CF(CaO.$Fe_2$$O_3$에 X선 회절피크는 나타나지 않았으며, 순수 $CF_2(CaO.$2Fe_2$$O_3$)에 근접하였으나 CF2에 소량의 $Al_2$$O_3$$SiO_2$가 고용된 4원계($Fe_2$$O_3$-CaO-$AI_2$$O_3$-$SiO_2$)에 보다 더 근접한 것으로 나타났다. 합성소결광의 정량분석은 두 표준물질 모두 상대오차가 $\pm$5 wt% 내에서 일치하였다. 실제 소결광의 정량분석결과 hematite는 27~40 wt%, magnetite는 20~30 wt%, calcium ferrite 22~33 wt%, slag 10~20 wt% 범위에서 분포하였다.

Immobilization and Performance of Penicillin G Acylase on Magnetic Ni0.7Co0.3Fe2O4@SiO2-CHO Nanocomposites

  • Magnetic $Ni_{0.7}Co_{0.3}Fe_2O_4$ nanoparticles that were prepared via the rapid combustion process were functionalized and modified to obtain magnetic $Ni_{0.7}Co_{0.3}Fe_2O_4@SiO_2-CHO$ nanocomposites, on which penicillin G acylase (PGA) was covalently immobilized. Selections of immobilization concentration and time of fixation were explored. Catalytic performance of immobilized PGA was characterized. The free PGA had greatest activity at pH 8.0 and $45^{\circ}C$ while immobilized PGA's activities peaked at pH 7.5 and $45^{\circ}C$. Immobilized PGA had better thermal stability than free PGA at the range of $30-50^{\circ}C$ for different time intervals. The activity of free PGA would be 0 and that of immobilized PGA still retained some activities at $60^{\circ}C$ after 2 h. $V_{max}$ and $K_m$ of immobilized PGA were 1.55 mol/min and 0.15 mol/l, respectively. Free PGA's $V_{max}$ and $K_m$ separately were 0.74 mol/min and 0.028 mol/l. Immobilized PGA displayed more than 50% activity after 10 successive cycles. We concluded that immobilized PGA with magnetic $Ni_{0.7}Co_{0.3}Fe_2O_4@SiO_2-CHO$ nanocomposites could become a novel example for the immobilization of other amidohydrolases.

FeO-MnO-CaO-SiO2-MgOsatd. 슬래그에서의 P의 열역학적 거동 (Thermodynamic of Phosphorus in FeO-MnO-CaO-SiO2-MgOsatd. Slag Systems)

  • Recently, new extraction technology for manganese nodule has been developed as alternative noble metallic resources. It is important to understand thermodynamic behaviors of phosphorus in low basic slag system from the viewpoint of the refining processing optimization. Thermodynamic behaviors of phosphorus in the $FeO-MnO-CaO-SiO_2-MgO_{satd.}$ slag system were investigated at 1723 K with various oxygen potential and slag composition of low basicity. The experimental results for dependence of phosphorus on oxygen potential and slag basicity indicated that the dissolution mechanism of phosphorus into slag of low basicity could be derived as follows; $[P]+5/4O_2+(O^{2-})=({PO_{3.5}}^{2-})$ Present experimental results implied that stability of phosphorus in slag would be depended on both of $O^{2-}$ (basicity) and content of $Ca^{2+}$ in molten slag. The thermodynamic effect of FeO, MnO and $Na_2O$ on low basicity on phosphate capacity was discussed.

Fischer-Tropsch 합성반응용 Fe계 촉매의 성능 및 물리화학적 특성에 미치는 SiO2 첨가효과 (Effects of SiO2 Incorporation on Catalytic Performance and Physico-Chemical Properties of Iron-Based Catalysts for the Fischer-Tropsch Synthesis)

  • 공침법을 이용하여 구조 조촉매인 $SiO_2$가 첨가된 Fe계 촉매와 $SiO_2$가 첨가되지 않은 Fe계 촉매를 제조하였고, 이러한 두 가지 촉매를 이용하여 $250^{\circ}C$의 온도 및 1.5 MPa의 압력에서 Fischer-Tropsch 합성반응을 수행하였다. $SiO_2$를 첨가한 Fe계 촉매가 $SiO_2$를 첨가하지 않은 Fe계 촉매보다 현저히 우수한 촉매활성을 나타내었고, 144시간의 반응시간동안 뛰어난 촉매안정성을 나타내었다. X-선 회절 및 $N_2$의 물리흡착을 통하여 촉매의 결정구조 및 세공구조를 분석한 결과, $SiO_2$를 첨가할 경우 Fe계 촉매의 분산도가 향상되는 것을 발견할 수 있었다. 또한 $H_2$-TPR(temperature-programmed reduction) 분석결과를 통해, $SiO_2$를 첨가할 경우 $260^{\circ}C$ 이하의 저온 영역에서 $Fe_2O_3$$Fe_3O_4$ 및 FeO로의 환원이 촉진되는 것을 확인하였다. 반면 $CO_2$-TPD(temperature-programmed desorption) 분석결과에 의하면, $SiO_2$를 첨가한 결과 촉매의 표면 염기도는 감소하였다. 따라서 $SiO_2$를 첨가한 촉매가 $SiO_2$를 첨가하지 않은 촉매보다 우수한 촉매성능을 나타내는 것은, $SiO_2$를 첨가함에 따라 촉매의 분산이 증진되고 환원이 촉진된 것이 주요 원인인 것으로 생각된다.

A highly effective route for removal of Hg2+ from the waste water using 3-nitrobenzelidenemalononitrile as a modifier of Fe3O4@SiO2 nanoparticles

  • SiO2-coated magnetic nanoparticles (Fe3O4@SiO2 NPs) were modified by 3-nitrobenzelidenmalononitrile and used as green linkages for removal of Hg2+ form the wastewater. In this research, it has been attempted to refer to the harmful effects of mercury ions for living things and how to remove such ions using very easy and practical technique. This study shows that by optimizing the test conditions, the efficiency of the removal of harmful ions such as mercury from the water contaminated with these ions can be increased. Conditions such as temperature, speed of agitation, pH of solution were tested for removal of mercury ions. The advantages of this method over other methods listed in the article are the rapid and easy nanocry synthesis. The generated and modified Fe3O4@SiO2 nanoparticles were characterized by X-ray diffraction, fourier transform infrared and scanning electron microscopy spectroscopy. The results show that the synthesized magnetic nanoparticles have the excellent performance for the removal of mercury(II) ion from the waste water.

화절층내 석회질 단괴(團塊)의 스카른화와 심부잠두(深部潛頭) 광체와의 관계 (Relation of the Skarnized Calcareous Nodules in the Hwajeol Formation and the Deep Concealed Orebody)

  • It is observed that calcareous nodules of the Hwajeol Formation are locally skarnized in the Sangdong district, in which the skarn mineralization extends 5 Km westward from the Sangdong mine area to the Hwajeolchi area. After a hidden granite beneath the Sangdong mine was discovered by exploration drillings, the exploration teams of the Sangdong mine and the Korean Mining Promotion Corporation have assumed that the skarn nodule of the Hwajeol Formation was derived from emplacement of a granite in deep place and the occurrence of hidden ore bodies below the skarn, and they have discovered high grades of tungsten orebody in the same horizon of the Sangdong ore body. Mutual genetic relatioships between epidote and garnet may be explained by following chemical reactions $Ca_2FeA_{12}$ $Si_3O_{12}(OH)+CaCO_3=Ca_3(Fe,\;Al)_2$ $SiO_{12}+1/2CO_2+1/2H^+Ca_3FeSi_3O_{12}+SiO_2+CO_2=2CaFeSi_{12}O_6+CaCO_3+1/2O_3$. It is concluded that epidote and garnet are useful as target minerals indicating a potential occurrence of deep seated hidden ore body. Since the epidote may inform the emplacement of the granite, while the garnet in the skarn nodule of the Hwajeol Formation may reflect a strong hydrothermal mineralization taking place from the depth.
