Cathodoluminescent properties of $Y_2O_2S:Eu$ phosphors synthesized by citric acid-gel method

  • $Y_2O_2S:Eu$ phosphors with fine particle have been synthesized by citric acid-gel method. In this method, $Na_2S_2O_3$ was added to $Y_2O_3S:Eu$ precursor, then the mixture was fired at $1000^{\circ}C$ for 3h in $S_2$ atmosphere. When the $Y_2O_3S:Eu$ precursor was pre-annealed at $400{\sim}700^{\circ}C$ before the firing of the mixture, the fine particles with a diameter of around 1 ${\mu}m$ were obtained after the firing. The phosphor pre-annealed at $400^{\circ}C$ showed a luminance and CIE color coordinates of 2350 $cd/m^2$ and (0.61, 0.37), respectively, at under excitation of 3 kV and $60{\mu}A/cm^2$.

  • In this study, the dielectric, structural and electrical properties of Pb(ZnS11/3TNbS12/3T)OS13T-BaTiOS13T-PbTiOS13T system ceramics were investigated with respect to the variation of YS12TOS13T addition amount. As the YS12TOS13T addition amount is increased, the resistivity at 100$^{\circ}C$ and the resonant/antiresonant frequencies and the frequency constant are slowly increased, and the grain growth is restrained until 0.4 wt% YS12TOS13T addition amount but continuously increased with the addition amount more than 0.4 wt% YS12TOS13T. As the YS12TOS13T addition amount is increased, the density, the diffuseness of dielectric constant and the induced polarization are increased until 0.4 wt% YS12TOS13T addition.

  • Thermal decomposition was conducted to investigate the influence of the various factors on stability of a new insecticide, [O, O-Diethyl O-(1-phenyl-3-trifluoromethyl-5-pyrazoyl) thiophosphoric acid ester : KH-502], in view of those informations applicable for industrial exploitation. In the thermal decomposition experiment, KH-502 was, after mixing with Fe, Cu and adjustment of moisture and pH conditions, subjected to three temperatures, 25, 50, and $100^{\circ}C$. Results for stability, and degradation pattern of KH-502 from the above experiment can be summarized as follows: 1. Main products of the thermal decomposition when this was conducted in the closed system were identified as following five compounds:O, O, O-Triethylthiophosphoric acid(TEPA), 1-Phenyl-3-trifluoromethyl-5-ethoxypyrazole(PTMEP), 1-Phenyl-2-ethyl-3-trifluoromethyl-5-hydroxypyrazole(PETMHP), O, O-Diethyl O-(1-phenyl-3-trifluoromethyl-5-pyrazoyl)phosphoric acid ester(KH-502 oxo form), O, S-Diethyl O-(1-phenyl-3-trifluoromethyl-5-pyrazoyl)phospho rothiolate(S-ethyl KH-502). However, compounds such as oxo form and S-ethyl KH-502 were not identified when the thermal decomposition was proceeded in the open system. 2. KH-502 was stable at 25 and 50$^{\circ}C$, but it was decomposed at 100$^{\circ}C$ following the first-order kinetics at the early stages of decomposition. 3. Rate constants for the thermal decomposition of KH-502 at 100$^{\circ}C$ were in the orders of Cu powder addition 0.344>Cu plate addition 0.21>moisture addition 0.05>closed system=open system=iron addition=pH 5.5 adjustment 0.04>pH 8.5 adjustment 0.027 day$^{-1}$, representing KH-502 was decomposed fast at Cu powder treatment and slow at pH 8.5 adjustment. 4. Half-life for the thermal decomposition of KH-502 at 100$^{\circ}C$ was in the orders of Cu powder addition 2.02

COMBINATORIAL PROOF FOR THE POSITIVITY OF THE ORBIT POLYNOMIAL $O^{n,3}_d(q)$

  • The cyclic group $Cn={\langle}(12{\cdots}n){\rangle}$ acts on the set ($^{[n]}_k$) of all $k$-subsets of [$n$]. In this action of $C_n$ the number of orbits of size $d$, for $d|n$, is $$O^{n,k}_d=\frac{1}{d}\sum_{\frac{n}{d}|s|n}{\mu}(\frac{ds}{n})(^{n/s}_{k/s})$$. Stanton and White[7] generalized the above identity to construct the orbit polynomials $$O^{n,k}_d(q)=\frac{1}{[d]_{q^{n/d}}}\sum_{\frac{n}{d}|s|n}{\mu}(\frac{ds}{n})[^{n/s}_{k/s}]{_q}^s$$ and conjectured that $O^{n,k}_d(q)$ have non-negative coefficients. In this paper we give a combinatorial proof for the positivity of coefficients of the orbit polynomial $O^{n,3}_d(q)$.

CaCO3, CaCl2 및 CaSO4 · 2H2O 첨가에 의한 AFm상의 변화 (A Conversion of AFm Phases by Addition of CaCO3, CaCl2 and CaSO4 · 2H2O)

  • AFm상의 생성과 전이는 시멘트에서의 수화반응, 경화속도 그리고 내구성에 큰 영향을 미친다. 실험실에서 제조한 3종류의 대표적인 AFm상에 CaC $O_3$, CaC $l_2$ 및 CaS $O_4$.2$H_2O$를 첨가하였을 때의 상변화를 검토를 하였다 AFm상의 상전이는 각 수화물의 용해도적과 밀접한 관계가 있다. 각종 AFm상( $M_{S}$ , $M_{C}$, $M_{Cl}$ )에 CaS $O_4$.2$H_2O$를 첨가한 경우, 모든 경우에서 AFm상은 ettringite로 전이를 하였다. 전이의 순서는 $M_{S}$ 가 가장 빠르게 ettringite로 전이를 하였으며 $M_{Cl}$ 이 가장 늦게 전이를 하였다. CaC $O_3$를 AFm상에 첨가하였을 경우에는 $M_{S}$ 는 보다 안정한 상인 $M_{C}$로 전이를 하였으며, 또 $M_{S}$ 중의 S $O_4$$^{2-}$ 이온이 방출되어 ettringite가 생성된다. $M_{C}$$M_{Cl}$ 에 CaC $O_3$를 첨가한 경우에는 아무런 상 변화가 일어나지 않았다. CaC $l_2$를 AFm상에 첨가하였을 경우, $M_{S}$$M_{Cl}$ 로 전이를 하였으며, $M_{S}$ 중의 S $O_4$$^{2-}$ 이온이 방출되어 ettringite가 생성된다. $M_{C}$에 CaC $l_2$를 첨가한 경우 $M_{C}$는 완전히 $M_{Cl}$ 로 전이를 하였다. $M_{Cl}$ 에 CaC $l_2$를 첨가하였을 경우에는 아무런 수화물의 변화는 발생하지 않았다. 따라서 CaS $O_4$.2$H_2O$를 CaC $O_3$및 CaC $l_2$와 반응시켰을 때의 AFm상의 안정성 순서는 $M_{S}$ < $M_{C}$< $M_{Cl}$ 로 된다.

  • ${\underline{O}},{\underline{O}}-Diethyl-{\underline{S}}-phenyl\;phosphorothiolate-^{18}O$와 관련화합물들을 합성하고 MCPBA로 산화시켰다. 각 반응을 $^{31}P$ NMR로 추적하였고 반응산물을 GC-MS로 분석하였다. ${\underline{O}},{\underline{O}}-Diethyl-{\underline{S}}-phenyl\;phosphorothiolate-^{18}O$은 메탄올에서 MCPBA에 의해 diethyl methyl phosphate로 전환되며 $^{18}O$를 포함하고 있어 이 산화반응은 Segall과 Casida가 제안하였던 반응기작을 따르고 있음이 증명되었다.

$MoO_3$가 첨가된 $Cr_2$$O_3$, 플라스마 용사코팅의 고온 마찰 마멸 특성 (Frirtion and wear properties of plasma-sprayed $Cr_2$$O_3$ composite coatings at high temperature)

  • plasma-sprayed Cr$_2$O$_3$-based coatings containing MoO$_3$ were studied to gain a better understanding of the influence of MoO$_3$ composition in the coatings on their tribological behaviour. A reciprocal type tribo-tester was employed to examine friction and wear behavior of the specimens at high temperature(450。C). The physical characteristics of worn surfaces were investigated by scanning electron microscopy and chemical composition of the coating surfaces was analyzed using a X-ray photoelectron spectrometer. The results showed that friction coefficient of the MoO$_3$-added coatings were lower than those without MoO$_3$ addition. The larger protecting layers were observed at the worn surface of plasma spray coated specimens with MoO$_3$ addition. XPS analysis of the protecting layer indicated that MoO$_3$ composition was dominantly formed at the surface. MoO$_3$ composition in the protecting layer appears to be more favorable in reducing the friction.

  • Polarization and strain induced by unipolar electric field (P\ulcorner, S\ulcorner), those induced by bipolar electric field (P, S) and remanent polarization (P\ulcorner) were investigated in 0.9Pb(Mg\ulcornerNb\ulcorner)O$_3$-$0.1PbTiO_3$relaxor ferroelectric ceramics in the temperature range of $-50^{\circ}C$~$90^{\circ}C$. From the temperature dependence of polarization and strain, the transition from predominantly paraelectric (electrostrictive) to partially ferroelectric (piezoelectric) is visualized. Under the given temperature, the P\ulcorner/P\ulcorner is always larger than the S\ulcorner/S\ulcorner and the difference between them becomes larger ass the temperature decrease. The S\ulcorner/P\ulcorner increases as the temperature decreased below phase transition temperature. It was suggested that these experimental results might be explained with a simple rigid ion model concentrating on BO\ulcorner octahedron.

새로운 포단드에 의한 피크린산 일가 양이온 염의 용매추출 (The Solvent Extraction of Univalent Cation Picrates by New Podands)

  • 말단기에 페닐(B), 벤질(Bz), 피리딘(Py), 퀴놀린(Q) 또는 나프탈렌(Np), 그리고 에테르 사슬에 산소(O) 또는 황(S) 주개원자를 갖는 몇 가지 포단드를 합성하여 1가 양이온과의 결합특성을 NMR 적정법과 용매추출법으로 조사하였다. NMR 적정에 의하면 대부분의 포단드는 1가 양이온과 1:1 착물을 형성하며, 특히 은이온과의 상호작용에서 에테르 사슬의 황 원자는 안정도를 증가시키는 효과를 나타내었다. 또한 포단드를 이용하여 에테르 수용액층에서 클로로포름층으로 알칼리 금속, 은, 탈륨 및 암모늄 등의 피크린산 1가 양이온염을 추출하였다. 은이온에 대한 추출률은 $Q_2O_4$, $Q_2O_5$$BQO_5$와 같이 퀴놀린을 포함하는 포단드의 경우 각각 86.8, 86.6 및 48.0%였으나 나프탈렌을 갖는 $Np_2O_4$$Np_2O_5$에 의해서는 거의 추출되지 않았다. 한편, $Bz_2O_3S_2$(89.4%), $B_2O_2S_2$(76.8%), $B_2O_3S_2$(58.9%), $Py_2O_2S_2$(58.8%), $Py_2O_3S_2$(42.1%) 및 $B_2O_4S$(15.0%)의 경우, 황 원자와 벤질기를 갖는 $Bz_2O_3S_2$가 가장 큰 은이온 추출 선택성을 나타내었다. 이러한 결과는 HSAB 이론에 의한 황 원자와 은이온과의 강한 상호작용 뿐 아니라 페닐기 대신에 벤질기가 치환됨으로써 유연한 메틸렌기 공간에 의해 두 방향족 말단기 사이의 ${\pi}-{\pi}$ 스택킹 상호작용이 효과적으로 증가하기 때문이다. 추출계수는 안정도 및 추출률과 비슷한 경향성을 나타내었는데, 이로부터 추출계수에 주된 영향을 미치는 요인으로는 포단드의 구조와 밀접한 관계가 있는 안정도임을 알 수 있었다.
