PbO 과잉량이 Pb(Ni1/3Nb2/3)O3-PbTiO3-PbZrO3계의 소결 및 압전특성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Excess PbO Addition on Sintering and Piezoelectric Characteristics in Pb(Ni1/3Nb2/3)O3-PbTiO3-PbZrO3 System)

  • Effect of PbO addition on sintering and piezoelectric properties at 0.45Pb(Ni1/3Nb2/3)O3-0.40PbTiO3-0.15PbZrO3 composition which is tetragonal phase was investigated. In this composition, Porosity and dielectric constant were increased with excess PbO addition, but Kp and d31 was not changed. These variation of physical properties could be interpreted as composition change of solid grains from tetragonal to MPB region due to amount of PbO-rich liquid changing.

  • Ploycrystalline $Pb(Zr_{0.5},Ti_{0.5))O_3$ and $BaTiO_3$ powder were prepared by sol-gel process. The alumina substrate were sintered at $1400^{\circ}C$ with bottom electrode of Pt for 2 hours. The Pb(Zr0.5,Ti0.5)O3 / BaTiO3 multilayered thick films with laminating times were fabricated on alumina substrate by screening printing method. The obtained thick films were sintered at $800^{\circ}C$ with upper electrode of Ag paste for 1 hour. Structural properties of Pb(Zr0.5,Ti0.5)O3 / BaTiO3 multilayered thick films were investigated. As a result of the Differential Thermal Analysis(DTA) of Pb(Zr0.5,Ti0.5)O3, exothermic peak was observed at around 650 $^{\circ}C$. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns indicated that BaTiO3 and Pb(Zr0.5,Ti0.5)O3 phases and porosities were formed in the interface of Pb(Zr0.5,Ti0.5)O3 / BaTiO3multilayered thick films.

  • The effect of excess PbO(0, 1, 2, 4, and 8 mol%) on grain growth and densification of (65)Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3-(35)PbTiO3 [mol%] ceramics has been investigaetd. With increasing the amount of excess PbO and sintering time, densities of sintered samples decreased gradually. The samples containing less than 1 mol% of PbO showed normal grain growth behavior, however abnormal grain growth was observed to occur in the samples with more than 2 mol% of PbO. In the samples with more than 2 mol% of PbO, the number of abnormal grains decreased and thus the average grain size became smaller with increasing the amount of excess PbO. These results demonstrated that the abnormal grain growth started to occur when a critical amount of excess PbO was added to a (65)Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3-(35)PbTiO3 sample. Since PMN-PT grains in a liquid matrix were angular, the observed abnormal grain growth was explained to proceed through the two dimensional nucleation process.

  • Lead titanate powders were prepared by mixed-oxide and sol-gel method. O-3 composites were prepared with these powders using Eccogel polymer. According to the volume percent of the PbTiO$_3$ powders, dielectric, piezoelectric properties and poling conditions were investigated. Relative dielectric constants were exponentially increased with volume percent of PbTiO$_3$. Piezoelectric strain coefficients (d$_{33}$ ) were increased with volume percent of PbTiO$_3$. Figure of merit (d$_{h}$.g$_{h}$) for the O-3 composites prepared by the mixed-oxide and sol-gel method were 2728(x10$^{-15}$ $m^2$/N) and 3100(x10$^{-15}$ $m^2$/N) at 70 volume percent of PbTiO$_3$, respectively.ely.

  • 두 단계 스핀 코팅 방법을 사용하여 세라믹 체적 분율 0.10과 0.13의 $PbTiO_3$/P(VDF/TrFE) 0~3형 복합재료를 제작하고 분석하였다. 0~3형 $PbTiO_3$/P(VDF/TrFE) 복합재료를 SEM 전자현미경 사진으로 성공적으로 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 전자현미경 사진을 통하여 복합재료의 0~3형 구조를 재확인하였다. 0~3형 $PbTiO_3$/P(VDF/TrFE) 복합재료는 P(VDF/TrFE) 공중합체보다 센서용 전기적 특성이 우수함을 나타내었다. 그러므로 이러한 낮은 유전상수와 높은 초전계수를 나타내는 0~3형 $PbTiO_3$/P(VDF/TrFE) 복합재료는 더 높은 성능을 나타낼 수 있는 새로운 초전형 센서 재료로 사용될 수 있다.

  • PbTiO3 thin films were fabricated onto MgO(100) single crystal substrate by reactive D. C magnetron sput-tering of Pb and Ti metal in an oxygen and argon gas mixture. The annealing of the thin films resulted in the decrease of both the c-axis orientation ratio and the lattice parameter. It is well known that the c-axis lattice parameter of thin film is dependent on the Pb/(Pb+Ti)ratio and the residual stress in the film The PbTiO3 thin films with a Pb/(Pb+T) ratio ranging from 0.45 to 0.57 were fabricated and annealed. The structure of the film the c-axis orientation ratio and the lattice parameter were not dependent on the Pb/(Pb+Ti) ratio before and after annealing. These experimental results proved that the decrease of the c-axis lattice parameter under the annealing conditions was due to the relaxation of the intrinsic stress in the film. This relaxation of the intrinsic stress caused the decrease of the c-axis orientation ratio and this phenomenon can be explained by c-axis growth lattice model.

Synthesis of $PbLaTiO_{3}$: Mn powders by hydrothermal method

  • Synthesis of $PbLaTiO_{3}$ : Mn powders containing La and Mn was carried out using $PbO,\;TiO_{2},\;La_{2}O_{3}\;and\;MnO_{2}$ as starting materials by hydrothermal method. In the synthesis of single phase $PbLaTiO_{3}$ : Mn powder containing La and Mn, the optimal x value corresponding to La substitution was 0.01 which corresponds to $0.99(Pb_{1-x}La_{2x/3}TiO_{3})+0.01MnO_{2}$. The optimal conditions for the preparation of the powder synthesis were 8 M-KOH solvent of hydrothermal solvent, $270^{\circ}C$ of reaction temperature and 24 hrs of run time. It was found that the synthesized powders had spherical morphology with average particle size of 70 nm and specific surface area of $5.5\;m^{2}/g$.

  • Dielectric properties and the stability of the perovskite phase in the Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3 system have been investigated as a function of amount of BaTiO3 and firing temperature. In the specimens fired at 120$0^{\circ}C$, the pyrochlore phase was eliminated by the addition of 10-15m/o BaTiO3 and also the dielectric constant increased. However, the dielectric constant decreased with further addition of BaTiO3 even though no pyrochlore phase was found to be present. The reducing tendency of the pyrochlore phase decreased with lowering the firing temperature in the system of Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3 with BaTiO3. Dielectric properties in PMN ceramics were affected by the character of the BaTiO3 rather than the pyrochlore phase.

  • 초음파 분무 열분해법에 의해 합성된 Pb(Zr, Ti)O$_3$미분말의 원료염의 종류에 따른 상과 모양의 변화에 대해 조사했다. 질산염, 초산염, 알콕사이드등의 조합으로 만들어진 원료용액으로부터 합성된 미분말은 약간의 PbTiO$_3$를 포함하거나 포함하지 않는 Pb(Zr, Ti)O$_3$, 상을 나타내었다. 구형 이차입자의 표면에서 발견되는 표면 기공은 질산염의 함량증가에 따라 증가되며, 그 생성은 질산염의 열분해 특성에 기인되는 것으로 해석된다. 본 연구에서 초음파 분무 열분해법으로 합성된 미분말의상, 모양등의 분말특성을 고려할 때, Pb의 원료로서는 acetate, Zr의 원료로서는 oxyacetate, Ti의 원료로서는 oxynitrate 혹은 (iso-propoxide +acetylacetonate)가 적합한 것으로 판단된다.
