  • 초전도체 선재를 제작하기위해 YBa$_2$Cu$_3$$O_{7-x}$ (YBCO) 와 Ni substrates사이의 계면 문제를 해결하기 위한 buffer layer로써 CaRuO$_3$ (CRO) thu film이 제안되었는데, 이런 buffer layer의 조건으로는Ni metal과 YBCO superconductor사이의 화학적 반응이 없어야 하고 metal component가 YBCO로 diffusion되는 것을 막아주어야 하며 substrates의 산화를 막아주어야 한다. 이런 조건을 만족시키는 것 중에서 CRO thin film이 가장 적절하였지만, CRO의 orthorhombic구조의 distortion에 의만 lattice mismatch 문제가 발생하였다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 이론적인 구조 분석을 통한 CRO의superconductor buffer layer로써의 가능성을 검토해 보는 것이 목적이다.

  • In this study, the physical properties of the piezoelectric sounder with metal-piezoelectric ceramics were analyzed. The dielectric and piezoeletric properties of 0.5wt% MnO$_2$ and NiO doped 0.1Pb(Mg$\_$1/3/Nb$\_$2/3/)O$_3$-0.45PbTiO$_3$-0.45PbZrO$_3$ ceramics were investigated aiming at acoustic transducer applications. The acoustic characteristics of a thin circular disc-type with metal-piezoceramics have been investigated. Also, the acoustic characteristics for the geometrical form of case were investigated. The piezoelectric sounder with 200kHz resonant frequency and 20kHz bandwidth was designed by considering the sharp directivity and the sound pressure.

  • In this study, the acoustic transducer of a thin circular disc-type with PZT/Metal was manufactured. The piezoelectric transducer with 200kHz resonance frequency was designed by considering the sharp directivity and the sound pressure. The dielectric and piezoelectric properties of 0.5 weight percent $MnO_2$ and NiO doped $0.1Pb(Mg_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})O_3-0.45PbTiO_3-0.42PbZrO_3$ ceramics were investigated aiming at acoustic transducer applications.   • In this paper, in order to develop the composition ceramics with the outstanding piezoelectric properties, $Pb(Mg_{1/2}W_{1/2})_{0.03}(Ni_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})_{0.09}(Zr_{0.5}Ti_{0.5})_{0.88}O_3$ ceramics substituted with $BiFeO_3$ were prepared by the conventional solid-state reaction method. The addition of small amount of $Li_2CO_3$ and $CaCO_3$ as sintering aids decreased the sintering temperature of the ceramics. The effects of $BiFeO_3$ substitution on their piezoelectric and dielectric properties were investigated. when 0.015 mol $BiFeO_3$ was substituted, the optimal physical properties of $d_{33}=590pC/N$, $E_c=8.78kV/mm$ were obtained.

  • Effects of additives on electromagnetic properties of a Ni-Cu-Zn ferrite for a noise filter in high frequency regions were studied. Both resistivity and permeability were increased with the amount of Mn2O3 up to 1wt%, then decreased with further addition. Addition of Co2O3 decreased the permeability of the ferrite and shifted the resonance frequency to a higher frequency region, which was thought due to the stabilization of domain walls. Therefore it was possible to improve both the permeability and the loss and to control the cut-off frequency by the concurrent addition of Mn2O3 and Co2O3.

  • It this paper, the piezoelectric and electro-induced strain properties of (P $b_{1-}$2x/3/B $i_{x}$ )[N $i_{1}$3/N $b_{2}$3/)$_{0.4}$( $Ti_{0.6}$Z $r_{0.4}$)$_{0.6}$] $O_3$ceramics (x=0, 0.005, 0.02) were investigated with the substitution of B $i^{3+}$, and the feasibility of the application for bimorph actuator was evaluated by measuring the dynamic properties of the piezoelectric bimorph fabricated with above ceramics. Dielectric constant was enhanced with the increase of B $i^{3+}$ substitution, and appeared the maximum value of 5032 at x=0.01 composition. Increasing the substitution of B $i^{3+}$, the electromechanical coefficient( $k_{p}$ , $k_{31}$ ) was increased up to the substitution of 0.5 mol% B $i^{3+}$, showed the value of 0.656, 0.439, respectively. The piezoelectric constant( $d_{33}$ $d_{31}$ ) had the highest value of 344, 825 with the substitution of 0.5 mol% B $i^{3+}$. The strain, generated by 60 Hz AC electric field, had the largest value of 1200($\times$10$^{-6}$ $\Delta$1/1) in the composition with the substitution of 0.5 mol% B $i^{3+}$. The dynamic properties of the bimorph actuator, fabricated with the composition substitution of 0.5 mol% B $i^{3+}$, showed the largest value of 325 $\mu$m at $\pm$150 V square pulse. square pulse.are pulse..

  • Macrocyclic ligands have been studied as cation carriers in a supported liquid membrane system. Cd2+ has been transported using nitrogen substituted macrocycles as carriers and several divalent metal ions (M2+=Zn, Co, Ni, Cu, Pb, Mg, Ca, and Sr) have been transported using DBN3O2, DBN2O2and PolyNtnoen as carriers in a supported liquid membrane system. Competitive Cd2+-M2+ transport studies have also been carried out with the same system. Ligand structure, stability constant, membrane solvent and carrier concentration are also important parameters in the transport of metal ions.

Effect of CuO on the Low Temperature Sintering Properties of PSN-PNN-PZT Ceramics

  • In this study, in order to develop the low temperature sintering ceramics for ultrasonic vibrator, Pb(Sb$\_$$\frac{1}{2}$/Nb$\_$$\frac{1}{2}$/) O$_3$-Pb(Ni$\_$1/3/Nb$\_$2/3/)O$_3$-Pb(Zr$\_$0.48/Ti$\_$0.52/)O$_3$ ceramics were manufactured as a function of the amount of CuO addition, and their dielectric and piezoelectric characteristics were investigated. With increasing CuO addition, the grain size and density increased up to 0.3 wt% CuO addition. Taking into consideration electromechanical coupling factor(k$\_$p/) of 0.53, mechanical quality factor(Q$\_$m/) of 423, dielectric constant($\varepsilon$$\_$r/) of 1,759 and piezoelectric constant(d$\_$33/) of 362pC/N, it could be concluded that 0.5 wt% CuO added composition ceramic sintered at 920$^{\circ}C$ was suitable for ultrasonic vibrator application.
