Cougruent Compositon of $LiNbO_3$ Crystal ($LiNbO_3$ 단결정의 Congruent 조성에 관한 연구)

  • The congruent composition of $LiNbO_3$ was determined by measuring Curie temperature($T_c$) of crystals and residual melt grown from the range 48.45 to 48.60mole%$Li_2O$ melts. The $T_c$ of $LiNbO_3$ varied with compositon largely. The variation of $T_c$ with composition was found to follow $T_c=l0.4184c^2-962. 996C + 23342$, where C is mole % LizO. DSC-1500 was used to measure $T_c$. Distribution coefficients for $LiNbO_3$$ LiNbO_3$ contains 48.52mole$Li_2O$ and has a measured Tc of $1145{\pm}^{\circ}C$

  • $Nd_2O_3$0.2~0.5 wt.% doped $LiNbO_3$single crystals were grown by the Czochralski method. The ZnO doping by 2~8 mole% can improve the resistance of optical damage. In this study, Nd : LiNbO$_3$ single crystals with the periodical domain structure were obtained by CZ method.

  • $(Sr_{1-x}{\cdot}Ca_x)TiO_3+yNb_2O_5$($0.05{\leq}x{\leq}0.2$, 0.004$1350[^{\circ}C]$ in a reducing atmosphere($N_2$ gas). Dielectric propertries were investigated with contents of $Nb_2O_5$. The grain size and dielectric constant increase with increase $Nb_2O_5$, but decrease in $Nb_2O_5$ exceed($Nb_2O_5=0.6[mol%]$). Also, the temperature characteristics of the dielectric loss factor exhibited a stable value within 0.5[%]. The capacitance characteristics appeals a stab]e value in ${\pm}10[%]$.

  • While sintering the Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3-PbTiO3-BaTiO3 system through solid-reaction route, pyrochlore(Pb3Nb4O13) phase while reduces the dielectric constant is inevitably formed. Substitution of Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3 with PbTiO3 and BaTiO3 can retard the occurrence of pyrochlore phase. The perovskite solid-solution without containing pyrochlore phase can be obtained when we consolidated the materials consisting of PbTiO3 and BaTiO3 at 1200℃ for 2 hours. The sintered body composed of 0.8Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3-0.1PbTiO3-0.1BaTiO3 composition showed the diffused phase transition(DPT) phenomena and the maximum value of dielectric constant at 0℃ (Tc') with the value of 1.3×104.

  • Green sheet was prepared by tape casting in the composition of (1-x)Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3-PbTiO3 system using Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3 and PbTiO3 synthesized with PbO, Nb2O5 MgO and TiO2 The densest green sheet was obtained in the weight ratio 70:30 of powder to binder. Green sheet wasmultilayered in metal mould and formed into lamination at 7$0^{\circ}C$, 300kg/cm2 The lamination was sintered at 110$0^{\circ}C$ 2hr, Dielectric constant and Curie temperature of disc type sintered body was highered with increasing the amount of PbTiO3 and was in the range of 19000-21000, -7~45$^{\circ}C$ respectively. Green and sintered relative density of lamination was 61% and 95% respectively.

  • In this study, the microwave dielectric property variations of (1-x)$BiNbO_4-(x)ZnNb_2O_6$ composites (x=0.3, 0.5 and 0.7) with 10wt% zinc borosilicate(ZBS) glass was investigated as a function of the substitution of $ZnNb_2O_6$ with a view to applying thes system to LTCC technology. The all composition addition of 10wt% ZBS glass ensured a successful sintering below $900^{\circ}C$. In addition, a small amount of $Bi_2SiO_5$ as the secondary phase was observed in the all composition. The substitution of $ZnNb_2O_6$ on the $BiNbO_4$ composites increased the $Q{\times}f$ values, but it decreased the sinterability and dielectric constant due to the high sintering temperature and low dielectric constant of $ZnNb_2O_6\;than\;BiNbO_4$ ceramics. The increasing of $ZnNb_2O_6$ content from 0.3 to 0.7 in the (1-x)$BiNbO_4-(x)ZnNb_2O_6$ composites with 10wt% ZBS glass sintered at $900^{\circ}C$ demonstrated 28.1~15.6 in the dielectric constant$({\varepsilon}_r)$, 5,500~8,700GHz in the $Q{\times}f$ value.

Properties of Multilyer Condensor with Composition Change in the System of Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3-PbTiO3 (Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3-PbTiO3계의 조성변화에 의한 다층 콘덴서 물성)

  • Multilayer ceramic capacitors(MLCC) were prepared by laminating the layer of composition with dif-ferent Curie temperature to improve temperature coefficient in the Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3-PbTiO3 binary system. Green sheet was formed by tape casting using Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3-PbTiO3 and PbTiO3 synthesized with solid state reaction of PBO. Nb2O5 MgO and TiO2. Green sheet with electrode of 70Ag-30Pd was laminated under 300 kg/cm2 at 70$^{\circ}C$ and sintered at 1100$^{\circ}C$ for 2hr. Curie temperatues for MLCC with 10 layers of pure PMN and 0.9PMN-0.1PT were lowered to -22$^{\circ}C$ and 36$^{\circ}C$ respectively. MLCC with 7 layers of PMN and 3 layers of 0.9PMN-0.1PT showed nearly zero temperature coefficient of capacitance in the range of -20∼30$^{\circ}C$ and sum of dissipation factor of each layer.
