Several factors predicted to affect the protoplast formation and regeneration were investigated. The optimum lysozyme, casamino acid and PVP concentration were 0.5 (mg/$m\ell$), 0.1 (%) and 1.5(%). In B. pumilus, Penicillin-G treatment concentration was 0.3 (U/$m\ell$) and optimum treatment period was transit log. phase. And in the case of Celm. fimi, 0.3 (U/$m\ell$) and initial log. phase. Osmotic stabilizer and di-cation for OSM medium of B.pumilus and Gelm .fimi were 25mM CaCl2, 0.5M sodium sucinate and 50mM MgCl$_2$, 100mM CaCl$_2$, 0.4M sodium succinate. The regeneration frequency of B.pumilus and Celm. fimi were 14.6(%) and 6.9(%).
The springback characteristics of AZ31B magnesium alloy sheet was investigated in OSU draw/bend test Springback is the elastically-driven change of shape of a part after forming and it should be estimated and controlled to manufacture more precise products in sheet forming. Magnesium alloy sheets have unique mechanical properties such as high in-plane anisotropy/asymmetry of yield stress and hardening response. So, there will be a difference in the prediction of springback with symmetric mechanical properties for magnesium alloy sheets. In this work, the Strip draw/bend tests were conducted with various conditions - die radius, sheet thickness and controlled tensile force and the tendency of springback angle was observed from the tests.

$Mn{1-X}Fe{2+X}O_4, Mg_{1-X}Fe_{2+X}O_4$ (x=0.0, 0.025, 0.1, 0.2) for negative temperature coefficient (NTC) thermistor was prepared by calcination at $800^{\circ}C$ and sintering at form 1100 to $1250^{\circ}C$ with $50^{\circ}C$ intervals. The best linear property was obtained in the Mn-based sample sintered at $1200^{\circ}C$ with x=0.0 composition. Temperature coefficient of resistance, $\alpha$, was $-5.6%/^{\circ}C$ in the Mn-based sample, $-5.2%/^{\circ}C$ in the MM-based sample, and $-1.6%/^{\circ}C$ in the Mg-based sample. thermistor parameter, B, was in the range of 2665~7780 K. The results show the possibility that Mn-Ni-Co based thermistor could be substituted by the composition used in this study.
The mushroom Agrocybe chaxingu was analyzed to evaluate the nutritional value of this potential food. The moisture content was 88.9% in the fruiting body of A. chaxingu, and the proportions of ash, crude fiber, carbohydrate, crude protein, and crude fat were 0.9%, 1.4%, 7.2%, 2.5% and 0.4% by weight, respectively. A. chaxingu contained 1.29 mg/100 g edible weight of vitamin $B_1$, and the contents of vitamin $B_2$, vitamin $B_3$, and vitamin C were 0.15 mg, 0.32 mg, and 18.4 mg per 100 g of wet mushroom. Potassium (3,318 mg/100 g, dry basis) was found at the highest concentration in A. chaxingu. In addition, the mushroom contained many other minerals (all figures are mg per 100 g of dried mushroom) such as phosphorus (909.7), magnesium (141.3), sodium (12.7), zinc (7.4), iron (6.5), copper (2.8), manganese (0.8), and nickel (0.1). The results indicate that A. chaxingu is a valuable nutrient source.
Phytoremediation presents a low-carbon and eco-friendly solution for heavy metal-contaminated soils, which pose great health and environmental risks to humans and ecosystems. A hydroponic culture was used to quantitatively assess the phytoremediation potential of plant species to remediate As or Cd-contaminated soil in field application. This study examined the growth, uptake, and distribution of Cd in the roots and shoots of Phalaris arundinacea and Brassica juncea in hydroponic conditions with Cd concentrations ranging from 0 to 20 mg/L for 10 days. Additionally, Aster koraiensis and Pteris multifida were cultivated in hydroponic conditions containing As concentrations ranging from 0 to 40 mg/L for 10 days. The concentrations of Cd in the above-ground part and root tissues of P. arundinacea and B. juncea reached a maximum of 147.7 and 1926.7 mg/kg-D.W.(Dry Weight), and 351.6 and 11305.5 mg/kg-D.W., respectively. Bioconcentration factor (BCF) for P. arundinacea and B. juncea were 68.9 and 122.3, respectively. Both species exhibited a translocation factor (TF) of less than 0.1, indicating their eligibility for phytostabilization. Aster koraiensis exhibited significant As accumulation of 155.1 and 1306.7 mg/kg D.W. in the above-ground part and root, respectively. However, this accumulation resulted with substantial weight loss and the manifestation of toxic symptoms. P. multifida exhibited higher accumulation of As (345.1 mg/kg-D.W.) in the fronds than in the roots (255.4 mg/kg-D.W.), corresponding to BCF values of 18.6 and 7.6, respectively, and a TF greater than 1.2. A TF value greater than 1.0 indicates that P. multifida is a viable option for phytoextraction.

Callus and shoot formation from medicinal crop, Lycium chinense Mill. cv. 'Cheongyang', as influenced by various media, explant sources and plant growth regulators were investigated. The rate of shoots formation, number of shoots, and fresh weight of shoots were the best on MS medium followed by B$_{5}$, WPH, and SH. Callus induction was more effective in leaf than internode segments, and was the best on MS medium containing 0.5 mg/L NAA with 0.2 mg/L BA. Effects of plant growth regulators in shoot formation were more effective in BA than TDA combined with NAA. Shoot formation from callus induced in leaf and internode segments was the best on MS medium containing 0.01 mg/L NAA with 0.2 mg/L BA.
Due to severe flooding, the long-term residence of turbidity flows within the stratified Daecheong Reservoir have lengthened. A long-term residence of turbidity flows within the stratified Daecheong Reservoir after floods has been major environmental issue. The objective of this study was to assess the impact to water supply from the hydrodynamics and turbidity outflow. Two gate operation scenarios were investigated. Scenario A refers to gate operations according to rainfall events, and scenario B refers to gate operations according to inflow. From the results of secenario A, the SS concentrations decreased from 0.44mg/l to 0.54mg/l at the front of the dam, whereas SS concentrations increased from 0.24mg/l to 1.24mg/l at the intake points at Munhi and Daejeon. From the results of scenario B, the SS concentrations decreased from 0.61mg/l to 0.83mg/l at the front of Dam; howeve, SS concentrations also decreased from 0.16mg/l to 0.48mg/l at the intake points at Munhi and Daejeon. It seems that it may be more efficient to control turbidity by creating additional outflows of generated discharge after intensive rainfalls than not.
