  • If p(z) is a polynomial of degree n having all its zeros in |z| ≤ k, k ≤ 1, then for 𝜌R ≥ k2 and 𝜌 ≤ R, Aziz and Zargar [4] proved that $${\max_{{\mid}z{\mid}=1}}{\mid}p^{\prime}(z){\mid}{\geq}n{\frac{(R+k)^{n-1}}{({\rho}+k)^n}}\{{\max_{{\mid}z{\mid}=1}}{\mid}p(z){\mid}+{\min_{{\mid}z{\mid}=k}}{\mid}p(z){\mid}\}$$. We prove a generalized Lr extension of the above result for a more general class of polynomials $p(z)=a_nz^n+\sum\limits_{{\nu}={\mu}}^{n}a_n-_{\nu}z^{n-\nu}$, $1{\leq}{\mu}{\leq}n$. We also obtain another Lr analogue of a result for the above general class of polynomials proved by Chanam and Dewan [6].

  • In this paper, we investigate the Bonnesen-style Aleksandrov-Fenchel inequalities in ${\mathbb{R}}^n$, which are the generalization of known Bonnesen-style inequalities. We first define the i-th symmetric mixed homothetic deficit ${\Delta}_i(K,L)$ and its special case, the i-th Aleksandrov-Fenchel isoperimetric deficit ${\Delta}_i(K)$. Secondly, we obtain some lower bounds of (n - 1)-th Aleksandrov Fenchel isoperimetric deficit ${\Delta}_{n-1}(K)$. Theorem 4 strengthens Groemer's result. As direct consequences, the stronger isoperimetric inequalities are established when n = 2 and n = 3. Finally, the reverse Bonnesen-style Aleksandrov-Fenchel inequalities are obtained. As a consequence, the new reverse Bonnesen-style inequality is obtained.

  • If a0 + Σnν=μ aνzν, 1 ≤ µ ≤ n, is a polynomial of degree n having no zeroin |z| < k, k ≥ 1 and p'(z) its derivative, then Qazi [19] proved $$\max_{{\left|z\right|=1}}\left|p\prime(z)\right|\leq{n}\frac{1+\frac{{\mu}}{n}\left|\frac{a_{\mu}}{a_0} \right|k^{{\mu}+1}}{1+k^{{\mu}+1}+\frac{{\mu}}{n}\left|\frac{a_{\mu}}{a_0} \right|(k^{{\mu}+1}+k^{2{\mu}})}\max_{{\left|z\right|=1}}\left|p(z)\right|$$ In this paper, we not only obtain the Lr version of the polar derivative of the above inequality for r > 0, but also obtain an improved Lr extension in polar derivative.

  • It is concerned with the continuity of the Hardy-Little wood maximal function between the classical Lebesgue spaces or the Orlicz spaces. A new approach to the continuity of the Hardy-Littlewood maximal function is presented through the observation that the continuity is closely related to the existence of solutions for a certain type of first order ordinary differential equations. It is applied to verify the continuity of the Hardy-Littlewood maximal function from $L^p({\mathbb{R}}^n)$ to $L^q({\mathbb{R}}^n)$ for 1 ${\leq}$ q < p < ${\infty}$.

  • In this paper, we investigate the weighted vector-valued bounds for a class of multilinear singular integral operators, and its commutators, from $L^{p_1}(l^{q_1};\;{\mathbb{R}}^n,\;w_1){\times}{\cdots}{\times}L^{p_m}(l^{q_m};\;{\mathbb{R}}^n,\;w_m)$ to $L^p(l^q;\;{\mathbb{R}}^n,\;{\nu}_{\vec{w}})$, with $p_1,{\cdots},p_m$, $q_1,{\cdots},q_m{\in}(1,\;{\infty})$, $1/p=1/p_1+{\cdots}+1/p_m$, $1/q=1/q_1+{\cdots}+1/q_m$ and ${\vec{w}}=(w_1,{\cdots},w_m)$ a multiple $A_{\vec{P}}$ weights. Our argument also leads to the weighted weak type endpoint estimates for the commutators. As applications, we obtain some new weighted estimates for the $Calder{\acute{o}}n$ commutator.

  • Silverman [14] proved a height inequality for a jointly regular family of rational maps and the author [10] improved it for a jointly regular pair. In this paper, we provide the same improvement for a jointly regular family: let h : ${\mathbb{P}}_{\mathbb{Q}}^n{\rightarrow}{{\mathbb{R}}$ be the logarithmic absolute height on the projective space, let r(f) be the D-ratio of a rational map f which is de ned in [10] and let {$f_1,{\ldots},f_k|f_l:\mathbb{A}^n{\rightarrow}\mathbb{A}^n$} bbe finite set of polynomial maps which is defined over a number field K. If the intersection of the indeterminacy loci of $f_1,{\ldots},f_k$ is empty, then there is a constant C such that $ \sum\limits_{l=1}^k\frac{1}{def\;f_\iota}h(f_\iota(P))>(1+\frac{1}{r})f(P)-C$ for all $P{\in}\mathbb{A}^n$ where r= $max_{\iota=1},{\ldots},k(r(f_l))$.

  • Let x : $^{Mn-1}{\rightarrow}{\mathbb{R}}^n$ ($n{\geq}4$) be an umbilical free hyper-surface with non-zero principal curvatures. Then x is associated with a Laguerre metric g, a Laguerre tensor L, a Laguerre form C, and a Laguerre second fundamental form B, which are invariants of x under Laguerre transformation group. We denote the Laguerre scalar curvature by R and the trace-free Laguerre tensor by ${\tilde{L}}:=L-{\frac{1}{n-1}}tr(L)g$. In this paper, we prove a local classification result under the assumption of parallel Laguerre form and an inequality of the type $${\parallel}{\tilde{L}}{\parallel}{\leq}cR$$ where $c={\frac{1}{(n-3){\sqrt{(n-2)(n-1)}}}$ is appropriate real constant, depending on the dimension.

  • In this paper, we first define a new kind of two-weight-$A_r^{{\lambda}_3}({\lambda}_1,{\lambda}_2,{\Omega})$-weight, and then prove the imbedding inequalities for $\mathcal{A}$-harmonic tensors. These results can be used to study the weighted norms of the homotopy operator T from the Banach space $L^p(D,{\bigwedge}^l)$ to the Sobolev space $W^{1,p}(D,{\bigwedge}^{l-1})$, $l=1,2,{\cdots},n$, and to establish the basic weighted $L^p$-estimates for $\mathcal{A}$-harmonic tensors.
