This study focuses on a simple analytical approach to calculate crane lifting forces for a sunken ship. The method takes into account the relation of lifting forces acting in wire rope slings to the inclination of the vessel including the effect of lug positions. The importance of the sunken ship salvage is explained from the statistics of ship casualties during last 15 years. Euler angles are introduced to represent the inclination of a sunken ship in developing the static force and moment equations,. Three dimensional examples with one redundant degree of freedom for a GT1500 oil tanker are analyzed and the results show that the information obtained by the method could be useful to salvors to conduct salvage work.

China has integrated maritime safety system which positively and effectively ensures safe navigation and environmental protection. This paper gives brief account on maritime safety rules and regulations, adminstrations and management mechanism, navigation aids and facilities, maritime communication and GMDSS etc. China is a developing country with fast economical growth. With a long coastline of 18,000 kilometers, and 5,000 more islands, China has a fairly developed shipping industry. China also sits in IMO Council as A member. In China , there are over 200 ports with an annual hadnling capacity of over 10,000 tons of cargo ; there are over 4,000 coasters and ocean-going ships with more than 3 million seafarers of which 1/3 being officers ; there are an aggregate gross tonnage 17 million gt for merchant ships. China ranks No.5 shipping country in the world as shown by Lloyd's Maritime Information Services Ltd. 1995. The Chinese shipping industry plays an important role in both domestic transportation and foreign trade. The Chinese government always attaches great importance to maritime safety . Since 1949, and from the adoption of reform-opening policy, China has gradually formed an integrated maritime safety system.

I. Objectives Effective endodontic obturation must provide a complete, three-dimensional filling of the root canal system, preventing the communication of fluids between root canal and surrounding periapical tissues. The objective of this study was to compare the apical leakage with or without the use of dentin adhesive system. II. Materials and Methods Forth extracted human teeth with single canals were decoronated. Root canals were instrumented using GT rotary files and Profile .04 file up to #40, 1mm short of the apex. After each instrumentation, copious irrigation with 5.25% sodium hypochlorite solution and confirmation of apical patency were performed.(omitted)

KSLV-1 2nd stage Kick Motor Nozzle was exposed to high temperature and pressure during the firing. Under the high pressure environment, Kick Motor Nozzle hydro-pressure test was done for verifying the structural safety of the nozzle. The differences with the KM hydro-pressure test [1] are that the real immerged heat resistance material is assembled and the throat heat resistance material is similar with the real one. The hydro-pressure tests were done for the two times of the 125 % of MEOP (975 psi) and the 153 % of the MEOP.

These studies were carried out to investigate the effect of Herbal-acupuncture with Inzinsammultang extract on the recovery from liver injury of rats. The liver injury of rats induced with 0.3ml/ea carbon tetrachloride. The Herbal-acupunture with Inzinsam multang extract solution inserted into corresponding focus of Kansu(BL18) in rats. In this study, SD-Rats(Sprague-Dawley) were divided into 4 groups ; Normal group (None treated group), Control-group(The group not treated after $CCI_4$-intoxication), Treated group; Example I-group(Saline-injected groups after $CCl_4$-intoxication) and Example II-group(Inzinsammultang-injected groups after $CCl_4$-intoxication). Through histological observation, Example II-group sho-ws that liver injury is weaker than Control group.(p<0.05) Biochemical assays for each serum enzyme activities of AST, ALT and LDH, levels of albumin, ${\gamma}$-GT, TG, total cholesterol were performed. The results were summarized as follows 1. AST(Aspartate aminotransferase) activity in serum significantly decreased in the Inzinsammultang-injected groups after $CCl_4$-intoxication. Inzinsammultang-injected groups after $CCl_4$-intoxication showed significantly higher AST activities, compared with the Saline-injected groups after $CCl_4$-intoxication.(p<0.05) 2. ALT(Alanine aminotransferase) activity in serum significantly decreased in the Inzinsammultang-injected groups after $CCl_4$-intoxication. The Inzinsammultang-injected groups after $CCl_4$-intoxication showed significantly higher AST activities, compared with the Saline-injected groups after $CCl_4$-intoxication(p<0.05) 3. Level of Albumin in serum significantly increased in the Inzinsarnmultang-injected groups after $CCl_4$-intoxication. 4. LDH(Lactate dehydrogenase) activities in serum significantly decreased in the Inzinsammultang-injected groups after $CCl_4$-intoxication.(p<0.05) 5. ${\gamma}$-GT(Glutamyl transferase) in serum significantly decreased in the Inzinsammultang-injected groups after $CCl_4$-intoxication(p<0.05) 6. As for the TG(Triglyceride) levels in serum, Inzinsammultang-injected groups after $CCl_4$-intoxication is no significant differences compared with the Saline-injected groups after $CCl_4$-intoxication.(p<0.05) 7. Total cholesterol in serum significantly increased in the Inzinsarnmultang-injected groups after $CCl_4$-intoxication.(p<0.05) Those results indicate that the Inzinsammultang Herbal-acupuncture have significant effects on the liver injury induced by $CCl_4$. So it is expected that the Inzinsammultang Herbal-acupuncture can be used to cure inflammations and recover the functions of damaged liver cells.

This study was done to investigate the protective effects of ethanol extract puerariae radix(Pr) on carbon tetrachloride($CCl_4$) intoxicated rats. Male sprague Dawley rats(200~210g)was used. experimental groups were divided into normal group, $CCl_4$-control group, and ethanol extract $CCl_4$-treated group. $CCl_4$-treated groups were injected with $CCl_4$ 0.6mg/kg.b.w(i.p). The activities of Alanine aminotransferase(ALT), Aspartate aminotransferase(AST), Alkaline phosphatase(ALP), Glutamyltranspeptidase(${gamma}$-GT), Lactate dehydrogenase(LDH) in extract pretrated group was significantly decreased(p<0.05) compared to the $CCl_4$-control group. The contents of triglyceride, cholesterol and lipid peroxide were significantly decreased(p<0.05). whereas content of HDL-choresterol was significantly increased.(p<0.05). In addition, activities of hepatic catalase(CAT), glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px) in the extract pretreated rats were significantly decreased(p<0.05) compared to the $CCl_4$-control group. but the content of glutathione(GSH) was significantly increased(p<0.05). These results suggest that extract of puerariae radix(Pr) has hepatoprotective effect in the $CCl_4$-intoxicated rats.

This study is an 1-D numerical study prior to modification of diesel engine for power plants to natural gas/diesel dual fuel engine using GT-Power with 1.5MW diesel engine for power generation. Natural gas injector was installed to intake manifold for dual fuel engine model. Effects on engine performance and characteristics were investigated when dual fuel is used in unmodified diesel engine. The analysis was done under 5 conditions from 0% to 40% of mixing rate on 720RPM engine speed. As a result of research, the engine performance was decreased as increasing ratio of natural gas. Engine brake power was decreased by 18.4% under 40% mixing rate condition. To clarify the reason, effects of injection timing and period were evaluated with DOE method. Considering this result, optimization was done for these parameters. Also, comparison between performances of dual fueled engine and diesel engine was made after optimizing the timing of injection by DOE method. As a result, engine brake power was decreased by 8.55% under mixing rate 40% condition showing 12.5% improvement.

Let $a$ and $b$ be two even integers with $2{\leq}a<b$, and let k be a nonnegative integer. Let G be a graph of order $n$ with $n{\geq}\frac{(a+b-1)(a+b-2)+bk-2}{b}$. A graph G is called an ($a,b,k$)-critical graph if after deleting any $k$ vertices of G the remaining graph of G has an [$a,b$]-factor. In this paper, it is proved that G is an ($a,b,k$)-critical graph if $${\mid}N_G(X){\mid}&gt;\frac{(a-1)n+{\mid}X{\mid}+bk-2}{a+b-1}$$ for every non-empty independent subset X of V (G), and $${\delta}(G)>\frac{(a-1)n+a+b+bk-3}{a+b-1}$$. Furthermore, it is shown that the result in this paper is best possible in some sense.
