Ni-Mn-Co-Fe 산화물 후막 NTC 서미스터의 제조 및 전기적 특성 (Fabrication and Electrical Properties of Ni-Mn-Co-Fe Oxide Thick Film NTC Thermistors)

  • 스크린 인쇄법을 이용하여 알루미나 기판위에 Ni-Mn-Co-Fe 산화물 후막을 코팅하였다. 후막의 조성과 소성온도를 변화시키며 미세구조와 전기적 특성을 연구하였다. 1150${\circ}C$에서 소성한 시편의 경우 모든 구성 원소가 후막에 균일하게 분포되어 있었다. 그러나, 1200${\circ}C$와 1225${\circ}C$에서 소성한 시편의 경우 Co 원소는 후막에 균일하게 분포되어 있으나 Mn, Ni 및 Fe 원소는 불균일하게 분포되어 있어 Mn 원소의 농도가 큰 영역과 Ni과 Fe 원소의 농도가 큰 영역이 존재하였다. 제조한 모든 후막 NTC 서미스터는 NTC 서미스터의 특성인 로그 저항(log R)과 온도의 역수(1/T) 사이에서 직선적인 관계를 보였다. $(Ni_{1.0}Mn_{1.0}Co_{1-x}Fe_x)O_4$ (0.25${\le}$x${\le}$1.0)와 $(Ni_{0.75}Mn_{1.25}Co_{1-x}Fe_x)O_4$ (0.25${\le}$x${\le}$0.75) 서미스터의 저항, B 정수 및 활성화 에너지는 Fe2O3 함량이 증가함에 따라 증가하였다.

Chemical Solution Deposition 방법을 이용한 BiFeO3/Pb(Zr0.52Ti0.48)O3 다층박막의 전기적 특성에 대한 연구 (Ferroelectric, Leakage Current Properties of BiFeO3/Pb(Zr0.52Ti0.48)O3 Multilayer Thin Films Prepared by Chemical Solution Deposition)

  • $BiFeO_3(BFO)/Pb(Zr_{0.52}Ti_{0.48})O_3$(PZT) bilayer와 multilayer의 다층구조를 만들어 전기적 특성을 측정하여 같은 두께의 BFO 단층박막과 비교해 보았다. BFO와 PZT 용액을 이용하였으며 chemical solution deposition 방법으로 Pt/Ti/$SiO_2$/Si(100) 기판위에 각 박막을 증착하였다. X-ray diffraction 분석을 통해 모든 박막이 다배향(multi-orientation) 페로브스카이트 (perovskite) 구조를 가졌음을 확인하였다. BFO/PZT Bilayer와 multilayer 박막들은 BFO 단층박막의 비해 누설전류 값이 500 kV/cm에서 약 4, 5차수 정도 감소했으며, 이로 인해 BFO/PZT 다층박막의 강유전체 특성이 크게 향상되었다. BFO/PZT multilayer 다층구조 박막의 경우 안정된 이력곡선(hysteresis loop)을 나타냈으며, 잔류 분극(remanent polarization)의 값은 $44.3{\mu}C/cm^2$이었으며, 항전계($2E_c$) 값은 681.4 kV/cm였다.

The Electrochemical Behavior of Ni-base Metallic Glasses Containing Cr in H2SO4 Solutions

  • In order to develop alloy resistance in aggressive sulphat ion, the corrosion behavior of metallic glasses $Ni_{92{\cdot}3}Si_{4.5}B_{32}$, $Ni_{82,3}Cr_7Fe_3Si_{4.5}B_{3.2}$ and $Ni_{75.5}Cr_{13}Fe_{4.2}Si_{4.5}B_{2.8}$ (at %) at different concentrations of $H_2SO_4$ solutions was examined by electrochemical methods and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) and X-ray Photoelectron Microscopy (XPS) analyses. The corrosion kinetics and passivation behavior was studied. A direct proportion was observed between the corrosion rate and acid concentration in the case of $Ni_{92{\cdot}3}Si_{4.5}B_{32}$ and $Ni_{75.5}Cr_{13}Fe_{4.2}Si_{4.5}B_{2.8}$ alloys. Critical concentration was observed in the case of $Ni_{82,3}Cr_7Fe_3Si_{4.5}B_{3.2}$ alloy. The influence of the alloying element is reflected in the increasing resistance of the protective film. XPS analysis confirms that the protection film on the $Ni_{92{\cdot}3}Si_{4.5}B_{32}$ alloy was NiS which is less protective than that formed on Cr containing alloys. The corrosion rate of $Ni_{82,3}Cr_7Fe_3Si_{4.5}B_{3.2}$ and $Ni_{75.5}Cr_{13}Fe_{4.2}Si_{4.5}B_{2.8}$. alloys containing 7% and 13% Cr are $7.90-26.1{\times}10^{-3}$ mm/y which is lower about 43-54 times of the alloy $Ni_{92{\cdot}3}Si_{4.5}B_{32}$ (free of Cr). The high resistance of $Ni_{75.5}Cr_{13}Fe_{4.2}Si_{4.5}B_{2.8}$ alloy at the very aggressive media may due to thicker passive film of $Cr_2O_3$ which hydrated to hydrated chromium oxyhydroxide.

  • Maghemite and hematite nanospheres were synthesized by using the Sol-gel technique. The structural properties of these nanosphere powders were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), and pore size distribution. Hematite phase shows crystalline structures. The mean particle size that resulted from BET and XRD analyses were 4.9 nm and 2 nm. It can be seen from transmission electron microscopy that the size of the particles are very small which is in good agreement with the FESEM and the X-ray diffraction. The BET and pore size method were employed for specific surface area determination.

Impedance Matching of Electrically Small Antenna with Ni-Zn Ferrite Film

  • We demonstrate that a partial loading of $Ni_{0.5}Zn_{0.5}Fe_2O_4$ (Ni-Zn ferrite) film remarkably improves impedance matching of electrically small $Ba_3Co_2Fe_{24}O_{41}$ ($Co_2Z$) hexaferrite antenna. A 3 ${\mu}m$ thick Ni-Zn ferrite film was deposited on a silicon wafer by the electrophoresis deposition process and post-annealed at $400^{\circ}C$. The fabricated Ni-Zn ferrite film has saturation magnetization of $268emu/cm^3$ and coercivity of 89 Oe. A partial loading of the Ni-Zn ferrite film on the $Co_2Z$ hexaferrite helical antenna increases antenna return loss to 24.7 dB from 9.0 dB of the $Co_2Z$ antenna. Experimental results show that impedance matching and maximum input power transmission to the antenna without additional matching elements can be realized, while keeping almost the same size as the $Co_2Z$ antenna size.

Microstructural Investigation of CoCrFeMnNi High Entropy Alloy Oxynitride Films Prepared by Sputtering Using an Air Gas

  • Microstructural properties of as-grown and annealed CoCrFeMnNi high entropy alloy (HEA) oxynitride thin films were investigated. The CoCrFeMnNi HEA oxynitride thin film was grown by magnetron sputtering method using an air gas, and annealed under the argon plus air flow for 5 h at $800^{\circ}C$. The as-grown film was homogeneous and uniform composed of nanometer-sized crystalline regions mixed with amorphous-like phase. The crystalline phase in the as-grown film was face centered cubic structure with the lattice constant of 0.4242 nm. Significant microstructural changes were observed after the annealing process. First, it was fully recrystallized and grain growth happened. Second, Ni-rich region was observed in nanometer-scale range. Third, phase change happened and it was determined to be $Fe_3O_4$ spinel structure with the lattice constant of 0.8326 nm. Hardness and Young's modulus of the as-grown film were 4.1 and 150.5 GPa, while those were 9.4 and 156.4 GPa for the annealed film, respectively.

  • Gas sensing element, $\gamma-Fe_2O_3$was synthesized by dehydration, reduction, and oxidation of $$${\gamma}$-FeOOH, which was synthesized with $FeSO_4\;{\cdot}\;7H_2O$ and NaOH. They were produced as a bulk-type, a thick film-type. Then, their responses and mechanisms of response to the gas of liquefied-petroleum were studied. The qualities of gas sensing elements are decided by the structure and the relative surface area. In the process of $\alpha-FeOOH $synthesis, the effects of reaction conditions as the equivalent ratio, on the structure and the relative surface area of gas sensing element were observed. The changes of the structure were measured with XRD, SEM, TG-DTA and BET. The resistance changes of the synthesized gas sensor in the air were measured. The response ratio were also measured for the changes of working temperature and gas concentration. As a result of analysis with XRD, it was confirmed that the the best conditions for the synthesis of $\alpha -FeOOH$ were equivalent ratio 0.65. The thick film-type element of $\gamma-Fe_2O_3$responded more quickly than the bulk-type did. The structure and the relative surface area of the $\alpha-FeOOH $were confirmed as the important factors deciding gas response charcteristics.

Understanding the Growth Kinetics of Graphene on Cu and Fe2O3 Using Inductively-Coupled Plasma Chemical Vapor Deposition

  • High-quality graphene was synthesized on Cu foil and $Fe_2O_3$ film using $CH_4$ gas via inductively-coupled plasma chemical vapor deposition (ICPCVD). The graphene film was formed on $Fe_2O_3$ at a temperature as low as $700^{\circ}C$. Few-layer graphene was formed within a few seconds and 1 min on Cu and $Fe_2O_3$, respectively. With increasing growth time and plasma power, the graphene thickness was controllably reduced and ultimately self-limited to a single layer. Moreover, the crystal quality of graphene was constantly enhanced. Understanding the ICPCVD growth kinetics that are critically affected by ICP is useful for the controllable synthesis of high-quality graphene on metals and oxides for various electronic applications.

수용액에서의 스피넬형 자성박막의 제작과 그 특성 (The Manufacturing and Properties of Spinel Ferrite Film In Aqueous Solution)

  • We have performed spin-spray ferrite plating of $Fe_{3-x}Zn_xO_4$($X=0.47{\sim}0.97$) films in the temperature region T=85[$^{\circ}C$]. A reaction solution and an oxidizing solution were supplied to a reaction chamber by supply pumps. The Zn composition X in the $Fe_{3-x}Zn_xO_4$ Film increases as the content of $ZnCl_2$ increase, from X=0.47 at O.05[g/l] to X=0.97 at 0.15[g/l]. All the films are polycrystalline with no preferential orientation, and the magnetization exhibits no definite anisotropy. Grain size in the films increases as X increases, reaching 0.98[${\mu}m$] at X=0.97.
