Changes of Chemical Composition during Lactic Acid Fermentation of Soy Milk (대두(大豆)요구르트 제조과정중(製造過程中)의 성분변화(成分變化))

  • This experiment was carried out to obtain the fundamental data for development of digestibility and quality enhanced product of soy yogurt. Soy yogurt was processed from raw materials of soybean, defatted soybean and sprouted soybean which inoculated with Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium bifidum as a starter. Changes of chemical compositions, viable cell count and saccharides during processing were investigated including acceptibility of manufactured products. The results were summarized as follows; 1. Defatted soy milk ferment ed with Lactobacillus acidophilus was showed the greatest initial acid productivity and sprouted soy milk was showed the greatest growth of Loctobacillus acidophilus. 2. Acid production was accelerated when 2% glucose was used in soy milk. 3. Addition of reconstituted skim milk in soy milk and defatted roy milk increased acid production but was not showed the effect in the sprouted soy milk. 4. Sprouting soybean, the contents of raffinose and stachyose were decreased but those of glucose was increased. 5. When soy milk was fermented with Lactobacillus acidophilus. the contents of raffinose and stachyose were decreased. 6. As a result of panel test, sprouted soy yogurt which was produced by addition of reconstituted skim milk of 10% showed the greatest flavor and tastes.

A Study on the Origin of the Misused Clothing Terms and the Analysis of the Meanings (오용되고 있는 의류용어의 원류와 그 의미 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to clarify the origin which have misused terms, analyze Its meanings and suggest the unified terms. The content of this study are as follows. The origin of the terms in western dress is different with the areas of cultural influence. Japanese occupied much more than other languages in the apparel industry after the civilization. and English has dominated in the educational filed since 1945 the Liberalization. French, German, Portuguese, Spanish, Dutch are added. These languages came to the clothing field via Japanese and English or directly from the countries. 망토(manteau프), 메리야스(medias스), 러닝셔츠(일) 라사(raxa네), 오트 쿠튀르(Haute Couture 프), 비로드(veludo 포), etc. However the words of foreign origin have misused or corrupted until now a days. 마이 (재킷, 상의), 노 슬립, 소데나시 (슬리브리스, 민소매) 넌라쟈(브래지어), 노타이, 노타이샤쓰(오픈칼라 셔츠, 넥타이를 매지 않은 셔츠) 와이샤쓰(드레스 ttu츠), etc. And also these terms are confused in using because of the word's diversity, the different nationality, change of the marking rules, and the difference between the education and production field terms. On the others hand, this study explained the differences between western costume and Korean costume as the clothing manufacture terms were translated to Korean. bodice-길, collar, neckline-깃, belt, sash-(허리)띠 And then the untied terms were suggested through the comparison production field and educational area (including schools and institutes). lapel, 라펠(학교용어) (학원용어), 가에리 (일) (의류산업 현장용어), 아랫깃(통일어) By the way, this study involved the origin of and misused teams in sewing and presented the unified terms. 미까시 (X)-미 카에시(일) - 안단($\bigcirc$), 이새(X)―홈줄임 ($\bigcirc$) As the above , the characteristics of clothing terms which have misused are Japans,;e, corrupt Japanese, false reports foreign words via Korean, Japanese, compound words of Korean and Japanese, compound words of English and Japanese. And also the words of foreign origin in clothing had the following tendency in the marking system. There are ellipsis of form, sex, timber, grammatical case '-ing', '-ed' in adjective and long vowels express to short vowels. We can see this phenomena as the rule of curtailment labor.

Development of a Carbonization Activator (하수슬러지 활성탄화로 개발)

  • The purposes of this study are to treat sewage sludge that has increasingly become an issue and to recycle it as the adsorbent. The adsorbent was produced by carbonization and simultaneous steam activation, and its characteristics were studied. Parametric screening studies were carried out for the preparation of good adsorbent. Optimum operating conditions were confirmed as input carbonization-activated temperature of $840^{\circ}C$, feed steam flow rate of 70 g/min, carbonization-activated time of 30 min and feed dried sludge of 10.8 kg/day, respectively. At this time, the iodine adsorptivity was maximized as 328.1 mg/g. Pore development, structure, element compound and content were confirmed by using nanoPOROSITY, SEM (Scanning electron microscope), and EDS (Energy dispersive spectroscopy). Through this result, it was known that the adsorbent derived from sewage sludge could be used for the treatment of leachate in a landfill, VOCs (Volatile organic compounds), and so on.

Influence of the Chemical Treatment of Bamboo Fiber (BF) on Physical Properties of BF and PP/BF Composites (대나무 섬유(BF) 및 PP/BF 복합체의 물성에 미치는 BF의 화학적 처리의 영향)

  • In order to investigate the effect of the chemical treatment of bamboo fiber on physical properties of polypropylene (PP)/bamboo fiber (BF) composites, silane coupling agents such as ${\gamma}$-aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APS), ${\gamma}$-glycidoxypropyl-trimethoxysilane (GPS) and ${\gamma}$-mercaptopropyltrimethoxysilane (MRPS) were applied to BF and alkaline treated BF. Morphological properties of the chemically treated BF were confirmed by optical microscope and SEM measurements, and chemical structure changes were confirmed by FT-IR and EDS. TGA results showed that the thermal stability of silane treated BF increased. Based on the analysis of a universal testing machine and an Izod impact test, the flexural and impact properties of PP/silane treated BF composites showed higher values than those of PP/BF composites. The enhancement of interfacial adhesion properties of the PP/BF composite was checked from SEM images of the fracture of specimens after the tensile test.

  • 전자 패키징은 미세화, 경량화, 저가화를 지향하고 신뢰성의 향상을 위해 발전해 왔다. 이러한 경향은 전자부품 자체의 성능 향상 뿐 아니라 전자부품을 장착, 고정할 수 있게 하는 인쇄회로 기판(PCB : Printed Circuit Board)의 성능에 많은 관심을 가지게 되었다. 전기적 신호의 손실을 줄이기 위해 전기, 전자 산업체에서는 가볍고 굴곡성이 우수한 연성인쇄회로기판(FPCB : Flexible PCB)과 가격이 싸고 신뢰성이 입증된 경성인쇄회로기판(RPCB : Rigid PCB)이 그 대상이다. 본 논문에서는 이 PCB중에서도 RPCB와 FPCB간의 열압착 방식으로 접합 시 전극간의 접합 양상을 보았다. 이 열압착 방식은 기존에 PCB를 접합하는데 사용하고 있는 connector를 이용한 체결법을 대체하는 기술로써 솔더를 중간층(interlayer)로 이용하여 열과 압력으로 접합하는 방식이다. 이 방식을 connector를 사용하는 방식에 비해 그 부피가 작고 I/O개수에 크게 영향 받지 않으며 자동화 공정이 쉬운 장점을 가지고 있다. 접합의 대상 중 RPCB의 경우는 무전해 니켈 금도금(ENIG : Electroless Nickle Immersion Gold)로 제작하였으며 FPCB의 경우는 ENIG와 유기보호피막(OSP : Organic solderability preservation) 처리하였다. 실험에 사용한 PCB는 $300\;{\mu}m$ pitch의 미세피치이며 솔더의 조성은 Sn-3.0Ag-0.5Cu (in wt%)과 Sn-3.0Ag (in wt%)를 사용하였다. 접합 온도와 접합 시간 그리고 접합 압력에 따라 최적의 접합 조건을 도출하였다. 접합 강도는 $90^{\circ}$ Peel Test를 통해서 측정하였으며 접합면 및 파괴면은 SEM과 EDS를 통하여 분석하였다.

Research on Strength Development of High PFA Concrete (PFA 함유량이 높은 콘크리트의 강도발현에 관한 연구)

  • The strength development of PFA concretes were invest~gated in this study. The work undertaken was divided into two parts which considered both the influence of PFA replacement level up to 45% and the effect of cement type at the high PRA leveI(45%). The additiorlal cement considered included a rapdhardemng portland ccnlent. The full range of concrete struc tural grades were studied anti ciight cu~ing contlltiorls covering those 11:ied 111 practlce were examined. The early strength retluced wit11 increasing PFA content. However, post 28days, the reverse was observed. It was posslhle through the use of rapid hardening portland cement at the high PFA level to achieve similar early strength to OPC concrete, with the same benefits noted above also being obtained post 28 days. The compressive strength uf hlgh PYA content concrt:tes at hgh temperature m s found to be higher than the ccmtrol at all ages hoth in water and alr. The same trends were observed at low t.ernperature in air. However, the reverse occur-ed at the low temperature In water.

Degradation analysis of SiC fiber at elevated temperature for dust filtering applications (분진필터링 적용을 위한 SiC 섬유의 고온 열화분석)

  • SiC fiber can be used up to $1800^{\circ}C$ in both inert and air atmosphere without any problems such as melting and oxidation. SiC fibers can be applied to dust filtering processes as a bag filter at a high temperature above $700^{\circ}C$, which is far beyond the temperature range of currently available industrial bag filter. However the studies for the degradation of SiC fibers were still lacked in the harsh environment of steel industries and thermoelectric power plants. In this study, SiC fibers were reacted with steel dust and thermal power plant dust at a high temperature of $500^{\circ}C$ or higher, and the degraded shape of the fiber surface was observed by SEM. Also the degree of oxygen diffusion on the surface and inside of SiC fiber was analyzed by EDS.

Method of Quasi-Three Dimensional Stability Analysis of the Root Pile System on Slope Reinforcement (사면보강 뿌리말뚝공법의 준3차원적 안정해석기법)

  • The root pile system is insitu soil reinforcement technique that uses a series of reticulately installed micropiles. In terms of mechanical improvement by means of grouted reinform ming elements, the root pile system is similar to the soil nailing system. The main difference between root piles and soil nailing are due to the fact that the reinforcing bars in root piles are normally grouted under high pressure and that the alignments of the reinforcing members differ. Recently, the root pile system has been broadly used to stabilize slopes and retain excavations. The accurate design of the root pile system is, however, a very difficult tass owing to geometric variety and statical indetermination, and to the difficulty in the soilfiles interaction analysis. As a result, moat of the current design methods have been heavily dependent on the experiences and approximate approach. This paper proposes a quasi-three dimensional method of analysis for the root pile system applied to the stabilization of slopes. The proposed methods of analysis include i) a technique to estimate the change in borehole radium as a function of the grout pressure as well as a function of the time when the grout pressure is applied, ii) a technique to evaluate quasi -three dimensional limit-equilibrium stability for sliding, iii) a technique to predict the stability with respect to plastic deformation of the soil between adjacent root piles, and iv) a quasi -three dimensional finite element technique to compute stresses and dis placements of the root pile structure barred on the generalized plane strain condition and composite unit cell concept talon형 with considerations of the group effect and knot effect. By using the proposed technique to estimate the change in borehole radius as a function of the grout pressure as well as a function of the time, the estimations are made and compar ed with the Kleyner 8l Krizek's experimental test results. Also by using the proposed quasi-three dimensional analytical method, analyses have been performed with the aim of pointing out the effects of various factors on the interaction behaviors of the root pile system.

  • Clogging of drainage pipes by scale is an important problem in civil engineering works. Although scale deposits can be removed by acid treatment or water jetting, these treatments are costly and have many disadvantages. In this study, scale samples from tunnel drainage pipes were analyzed using SEM-EDS and XRD. The main ingredient in scale was $CaCO_3$ of the calcite crystal form. Drainage experiments and recirculation type experiments were conducted to control and remove scale deposits, which were determined through visual and weight measuring analysis. As a result, Quantum Stick has the effect of limiting formation of scale.

  • The musical instruments displayed in Korean Museums consist of various materials such as wood, stone, metal, leather, and soil. As for instruments manufactured of organic materials, as time passed, they became damaged due to physical, chemical and biological effects. In order to restore these instruments, studies on the materials as well as the manufacturing techniques should be simultaneously conducted because of the characteristics of sound making instruments. In this study, 17th century Double bass were chosen as the model for the restoration study. The type of wood was identified and the finishing layer was analyzed. To investigate the finishing layer, the surface observation was conducted and the component analysis was also conducted by using both FT-IR and SEM-EDS. As a result, the species of wood were identified as the maple trees. In case of the finishing layer of it, the diluted Goma Lacca, a type of resin, with alcohol as the main solvent was covered for varnishing layer. These results were combined to determine the restoration of Double bass Maggini Giovanni Paolo varnishing layer and by this Violin was made.
