자동차부품 용접자동화장치 개발 및 용접품질 개선에 관한 연구 (Development of Automatic Welding Machine and Weld-Quality Improvement for Automobile Parts)

  • Low cost automatic welding machine is developed for the purpose of welding process automation of automobile parts with two dimensional welding joints. Developed gantry type machine is equipped with X, Y and roll axis stepping motors, and dirive units units are designed by two phase on drive scheme using shift registers. Control system is constructed by single board microcomputer of Z80A CPU, and also it is equipped with parallel input output ports and counter-timer chips. Linear and circular interpolation of welding head movement is accomplished by employing software digital differential analyzers. It has been shown that contour error of develped system is withi ${\pm}1.0mm$, meaning that the machine is suitable for CO2 arc welding process of automoble parts and is expected it's application to industry.

아연도금강관의 가스메탈아크용접에서 용접인자가 기공형성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Welding Parameters on Porosity Formation in Weld Beads of Galvanized Steel Pipes produced with Gas Metal Arc Welding)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the effect of welding parameters such as shielding gas compositions welding voltage and welding current on the pore formation in the weld beads of galvanized steel pipes produced with gas metal arc welding. The porosity was evaluated and rated by metallography and radiographic test in terms of weight percentage, number and distribution of pores in weld beads. The porosity increased with increasing welding voltage and current, in which Ar gas produced the most porosity while $Ar+5%O_2$ generated the least porosity. It was found that the porosity could be reduced by selection of the proper gas mixture composition such as $Ar+5%O_2$ and $Ar+10%CO_2$ and by using current (130~150A) and voltage(16~20V).

  • Despite the widespread use in the various manufacturing industries, the full automation of the robotic CO$_2$ welding has not yet been achieved partly because the mathematical model for the process parameters of a given welding task is not fully understood and quantified. Several mathematical models to control welding quality, productivity, microstructure and weld properties in arc welding processes have been studied. However, it is not an easy task to apply them to the various practical situations because the relationship between the process parameters and the bead geometry is non-linear and also they are usually dependent on the specific experimental results. Practically, it is difficult, but important to know how to establish a mathematical model that can predict the result of the actual welding process and how to select the optimum welding condition under a certain constraint. In this paper, an attempt has been made to develop an Radial basis function network model to predict the weld top-bead width as a function of key process parameters in the robotic CO$_2$ welding. and to compare the developed model and a simple neural network model using two different training algorithms in order to verify performance. of the developed model.

  • The object of this study is to investigate the effect of compounded welding by using acoustic emission (AE) signals fur weld heat affected zone (HAZ) in tensile testing. This study was carried out a SM 490A high tension steel for electronic shielded metal are welding (SMAW), $\textrm{CO}_2$ gas arc welding and TIG welding. And correspondingly, the root openings are 3, 4 and 2.8mm. Data displays are based on the measured parameters of the AE signals, along with environmental variables such as time and load. These history plots give us useful and powerful information to analyze the results of material evaluation testing.

  • It is generally used the boost converter for the welding machine using fuel cell. But this type generates the duplicate loss between boost converter and inverter. As a result, the whole efficiency is lower than conventional inverter arc welder and the cost is expensive due to additional switching device. Therefore, we proposed the inverter rectification type DC-DC converter with boost converter function in fuel cell based TIG welder. The performance of the proposed technique is evaluated on a 1.2kW fuel cell stack based experimental prototype circuit.

  • The full automation of welding has not yet been achieved partly because the mathematical model for the process parameters of a given welding task is not fully understood and quantified. GMAW 더블 와이어 릴, 원격제어토치 용접기술을 이용한 V형 맞대기 용접 부의 실험적 성능 평가 (Experimental Performance Evaluation on V-shaped Butt Welding Using GMA Welding Double Wire Reel and Remote Control Torch Welding Technique)

  • 본 연구는 현장의 GMAW 용접기에 더블 와이어 릴을 겸비한 원격제어토치의 시스템에 관한 것이다. 산업현장 용접에서는 용접기 본체로부터 와이어 송급장치까지의 거리가 약 30m 떨어져 있고 송급장치로부터 토치까지의 거리는 약 3~5m 정도이다. 이에 따라 차량 및 탱크 내부의 용접에서 제어 패널을 볼 수 없는 곳이나 작업장이 먼 곳 등에서 용접사가 용접을 하면서 용접조건에 맞는 전류와 전압을 조절할 수가 없고 또한 용접와이어가 완전히 소모되면 용접을 중단하고 와이어 릴을 갈아 끼워야하는 번거로운 문제점이 있다. 이 때문에 전류와 전압 조절 및 와이어를 교체하기 위해 용접을 중단하고 잦은 이동으로 용접구조물의 순간적인 냉각에 의해 용접결함이 발생된다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 제반 문제를 감소하기 위해 기존의 GMAW 용접기의 제반기능을 토대로 간소화 및 합리화하여 더블 와이어 릴을 겸비한 원격제어토치를 자체 제작하였다. 실험은 SM50A 용접구조용 압연강재 6mm를 사용하여 와이어 더블 릴을 겸비한 원격제어 토치와 기존 $CO_2$ /MAG 용접토치를 V형 맞대기 수직자세로 용접을 실행하였다. 용접 완료 후 용접부의 표면비드 상태의 형상을 육안검사 관찰하고 또한 이를 방사선투과검사를 통해 용접부의 내부 용접품질에 대하여 용접현상을 분석하였다. 이 연구를 통해 용접결함 감소, 원가절감 및 기존 상용용접기에 교체사용에 대한 성능 및 호환성여부에 미치는 영향에 대해 평가하였다.

6고조파 주입 PWM을 이용한 3상 승압형 컨버터 고조파저감 (Harmonic Reduction in Three-Phase Boost Converter with Sixth Order Harmonic Injected PWM)

  • 본 논문에서는 단일 스위치 3상 승압형 컨버터 입력전류의 왜형을 개선하기 위한 6고조파 주입 PWM 방식이 제안디었다. 주기적인 6고조파 전압이 한 스위칭 사이클 내에 컨버터 스위치의 듀비티를 가변하도록 제어회로에 주입되었다. 그 결과 입력 상전류는 입력전압을 따라가고 거의 1에 가까운 역률을 얻었다. 실험결과는 3상 입력 AC 140∼220V, 400V∼6kW 저항부하와 3상 AC 220V, 비선형 부하인 CO2 아크 용접기에 의하여 입증하였다.
