PURPOSE. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of barium silicate filler contents on mechanical properties of resin nanoceramics (RNCs) for additive manufacturing (AM). MATERIALS AND METHODS. Additively manufactured RNC specimens were divided into 4 groups depending on the content of ceramic fillers and polymers: 0% barium silicate and 100% polymer (B0/P10, control group); 50% barium silicate and 50% polymer (B5/P5); 60% barium silicate and 40% polymer (B6/P4); 67% barium silicate and 33% polymer (B6.7/P3.3). The compressive strength (n = 15) and fracture toughness (n = 12) of the specimens were measured, and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) with energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) analyses were performed. Independent sample Kruskal-Wallis tests were performed on the compressive strength and fracture toughness test results, and the significance of each group was analyzed at the 95% confidence interval through post-tests using the Bonferroni's method. RESULTS. B6/P4 and B6.7/P3.3 exhibited much higher yield strength than B0/P10 and B5/P5 (P < .05). Compared to the control group (B0/P10), the other three groups exhibited higher ultimate strength (P < .05). The fracture toughness of B6/P4 and B6.7/P3.3 were similar (P > .05). The content of barium silicate and fracture toughness showed a positive correlation coefficient (R = 0.582). SEM and EDS analyses revealed the presence of an oval-shaped ceramic aggregate in B6/P4 specimens, whereas the ceramic filler and polymer substrate were homogeneously mixed in B6.7/P3.3. CONCLUSION. Increasing the ceramic filler content improves the mechanical properties, but it can be accompanied by a decrease in the flowability and the homogeneity of the slurry.
The results of geoarchaeological studies of the prehistoric cultural complexes on the Russian Far East (Primorye, or Maritime Province; the Amur River basin; and Sakhalin Island) are presented. Upper Palaeolithic sites are dated to ca. 40,000-10,500 B.P. They existed during the mild climate of the Chernoruchie interstadial (ca. 40,000-21,000 B.P.); during harsh climate at the Last Glacial Maximum, ca. 20,000-18,000 B.P., in several places on the Russian Far East (Primorye, Amur River basin, and Sakhalin); and during climatic amelioration in the Late Glacial time, ca. 16,000-10,500 B.P. The earliest Neolithic sites, represented by Osipovka and Gromatukha cultures, existed at ca. 13,000-10,000 B.P. in the environment of coniferous forests with admixture of broadleaved taxa. Since ca. 8000 B.P., Neolithic cultures appeared in all of the Russian Far East. They existed until ca. 3000 B.P., first during the Holocene Climatic Optimum, ca. 8000-5000 B.P., in the environment of coniferous-broadleaved forests, and later, at ca. 5000-3000 B.P., in the environment of birch-oak and coniferous forests.
Let $T^{\alpha}_{\lambda}$(p, A, B) denote the class of functions $$f(z)=z^p-{\sum\limits^{\infty}_{k=1}}{\mid}a_{p+k}{\mid}z^{p+k}$$ which are regular and p valent in the unit disc U = {z: |z| <1} and satisfying the condition $\left|{\frac{{e^{ia}}\{{\frac{f^{\prime}(z)}{z^{p-1}}-p}\}}{(A-B){\lambda}p{\cos}{\alpha}-Be^{i{\alpha}}\{\frac{f^{\prime}(z)}{z^{p-1}}-p\}}}\right|$<1, $z{\in}U$, where 0<${\lambda}{\leq}1$, $-\frac{\pi}{2}$<${\alpha}$<$\frac{\pi}{2}$, $-1{\leq}A$<$B{\leq}1$, 0<$B{\leq}1$ and $p{\in}N=\{1,2,3,{\cdots}\}$. In this paper, we obtain sharp results concerning coefficient estimates, distortion theorem and radius of convexity for the class $T^{\alpha}_{\lambda}$(p, A, B). It is further shown that the class $T^{\alpha}_{\lambda}$(p, A, B) is closed under "arithmetic mean" and "convex linear combinations". We also obtain class preserving integral operators of the form $F(z)=\frac{p+c}{z^c}{\int^z_0t^{c-1}}f(t)dt$, c>-p, for the class $T^{\alpha}_{\lambda}$(p, A, B). Conversely when $F(z){\in}T^{\alpha}_{\lambda}$(p, A, B), radius of p valence of f(z) has also determined.
Let n ⩾ 2 be an integer, we denote the smallest integer b such that gcd {(nk) : b < k < n - b} > 1 as b(n). For any prime p, we denote the highest exponent α such that pα | n as vp(n). In this paper, we partially answer a question asked by Hong in 2016. For a composite number n and a prime number p with p | n, let n = ampm + r, 0 ⩽ r < pm, 0 < am < p. Then we have $$v_p\(\text{gcd}\{\(n\\k\)\;:\;b(n)1\}\)=\{\array{1,&&a_m=1\text{ and }r=b(n),\\0,&&\text{otherwise.}}$$
pH-responsive P(MAA-co-EGMA) hydrogel microparticles were synthesized via dispersion photo polymerization and the feasibility of the particles as the cosmetic formulation was investigated. Rh-B and the functional materials for the cosmetic application such as ascorbic acid, adenosine, EGCG, and arbutin were loaded in the P (MAA-co-EGMA) hydrogel microparticles in order to examine the interaction between the hydrogel and the loaded materials. In the loading experiments, Rh-B showed the highest loading efficiency to the P(MAA-co-EGMA) hydrogels due to the electrostatic attraction between the negative charge of the hydrogels and the positive charge of Rh-B at the ionized states. However, the functional materials showed relatively low loading efficiencies because of the electrostatic repulsions between the negative charges of both the hydrogels and the materials at the ionized states. In addition, P(MAA-co-EGMA) hydrogel microparticles showed pH-responsive release behavior of Rh-B according to the external pH changes.
Let p be an odd prime and c be a fixed integer with (c, p) = 1. For each integer a with $1{\leq}a{\leq}p-1$, it is clear that there exists one and only one b with $0{\leq}b{\leq}p-1$ such that $ab{\equiv}c$ mod p. Let N(c, p) denote the number of all solutions of the congruence equation $ab{\equiv}c$ mod p for $1{\leq}a$, $b{{\leq}}p-1$ in which a and $\bar{b}$ are of opposite parity, where $\bar{b}$ is defined by the congruence equation $b{\bar{b}}{\equiv}1$ mod p. The main purpose of this paper is using the mean value theorem of Dirichlet L-functions and the properties of Gauss sums to study the computational problem of one kind mean value function related to $E(c,p)=N(c,p)-{\frac{1}{2}}{\phi}(p)$, and give its an exact computational formula.
Protein B23 is one of the major nucleolar phosphoproteins associated with pre-ribosomal particles, and is localized in the granular region of the nucleolus. Recent studies suggest that protein B23 shuttles between nucleus and cytoplasm and also interacts with HIV Rev. These findings indicate that protein B23 is important in nucleocytoplasmic relationship and viral replication. However, the exact function of protein B23 is not clear yet. In acute nucleolar hypertrophy of rat liver, treated with thioacetamide, there was observed an increase of not only protein B23 but also B23-like protein p45 when anti-B23 monoclonal antibody (MAb) was used for identification. On the basis of the large B23 specific epitope structure composed of 68 amino acids, a hypothesis was formulated to examine that p45 is the pre-B23 resulting from excessive production of B23. In an attempt to investigate the precursor of B23, we analyzed the subcellular fractions and microsomal subfractions. Subsequently, we analyzed the finger printings of B23-like proteins using the tryptic peptide mapping. The results are summarized: 1) Using B23 MAb, we observed the presence of B23-like proteins in nucleolar fraction, nucleoplasmic fraction and microsomal fraction. 2) In the further microsomal subfractionation, we could partially purify B23-like protein in 2M layer of sucrose gradient. 3) When ion exchange chromatography was employed, there were protein species 80kDa(p80), 65kDa(p65) and 60kDa(p60). 4) Based on the tryptic map analysis of $^{125}I$ labeled proteins, the similarity between B23 and p80 was found only in 9 out of 14(B23) and 21(p80) peptides, and difference was found in the remaining peptides. p80 and p60 had 18 common peptides, and all the peptides of p60 were similar to those of p80. From these results, it is proposed that p45 is an abnormal metabolite resulting from carcinogenesis by thioacetamide, and it is not the precursor of B23. In addition, we suggest that p80 may be a precursor of p45.
The promoters of alkali-tolerant Bacillus sp. had been cloned in the promoter probe vector pPL703 and recombinant plasmid p-12 had been constructed. As a result of subcloning, two different promoters were found to exist in the cloned 2.9 kb promoter fragment and two recombinant plasmids p-l2B1 and p-l2B2, each harboring different promoter, were constructed. The promoter activity, which was expressed in the CAT specific activity, of p-l2B1 was 7 times higher than that of p-l2B2. The promoter activity as a function of growth revealed that both promoters of p-l2B1 and p-l2B2 were expressed after the late logarithmic growth phase and repressed in the presence of 1.0% (w/v) glucose.
The landform of the study area is defined as a small-scale alluvial plain in the valley bottom adjacent to the coast. By the aggradation of alluvial materials, this valley bottom plain was formed in dissected parts of low hills. For the purpose of reconstructing the palaeo climate environment in this study, $\delta^{13}C$ analysis and soil organic carbon analysis are therefore employed. Main results of this study are as follows: Section I: the period of $6,600{\pm}60yr$ B.P.$-5,350{\pm}60yr$B.P. was mostly in warm and humid climate environment. A little changes of the humid environment are detected as subdry (or sub-humid)${\rightarrow}$humid in terms of the dryness and wetness. Section II: the period of $5,350{\pm}60yr$ B.P.-2,200 yr B.P. was in warm and humid climate environment, which is similar to the present. However, The sediments between $4,720{\pm}60yr$ B.P. and $4,210{\pm}50 yr$ B.P. experienced the most humid climate environment of all studied sedimentary layers. After $4,210{\pm}50 yr$ B.P., the environment started to change from the humid to the sub-humid (or sub-dry) climate. Section III: the period of 2,200 yr B.P.$-210{\pm}60 yr$ B.P. was distinguish from previous two sections as the environmental changes to sub-humid (or sub-dry) climate was apparent.
Thermal properties of Fe- base amorpous alloys were investigated. $Fe_{80}P_6C_{12}B_{12}$ and $Fe_{73}P_{11}C_6B_4AI_4Ge_2$ amorphous alloys were fabricated by melt spinning method and thermal analysis was done by differential scanning calorimeter. After isothermal crystallization. the Avrami exponents of $Fe_{80}P_6C_{12}B_{12}$ and $Fe_{73}P_{11}C_6B_4AI_4Ge_2$ amorphous alloys were 1.8-2.2 and 2.5-4.0, respectively. It means the former alloy shows diffusion controlled growth and the latter one shows interface controlled growth. For $Fe_{80}P_6C_{12}B_{12}$ and $Fe_{73}P_{11}C_6B_4AI_4Ge_2$ amorphous alloys. the activation energies of isothermal crystallization was 353 and 371kJlmol. Also the activation energies of nucleation and growth were 301, 324kJlmol and 273. 30lkJ/mol, respectively. Thus $Fe_{73}P_{11}C_6B_4AI_4Ge_2$ amorphous alloy is considered to be more stable than $Fe_{73}P_{11}C_6B_4AI_4Ge_2$ amorphous alloy.
