Design of Microprocessor Controlled Spectrum Analyzer (마이크로 프로세서 제어에 의한 스펙트럼 분석 장치의 설계)

  • In the proposed spectrum analyzer, open-loop VCO is replaced with PLL synthesizer incorporating digital frequency synthesizer using modulofunction for measuring precise frequencys. Three different frequency bands and channel spacings are realized by single loop synthesizer through the effective design of the system. The newly designed system with square detection has a good linearity of input range from 10mV to 8.5V, as a result the input sensitivity has been improved up to 500uV. The storage function enables us to analyze not only periodic but also nonperiodic wave-form and zoom-in function expands frequency resolution eight times for the dense spectra.

Characteristics of $[^3H]$-Choline Uptake into Synaptosomes from Rat Hippocampus

  • Certain basic characteristics of choline uptake in nerve terminals were studied with synaptosomes from rat hippocampus. Synaptosomal $[^3H]$-choline uptake was clarified as specific and high affinity by low Km value(2.2 uM), Na+-dependency and high sensitivity to hemicholinium-3, a competitive inhibitor of choline uptake. Choline uptake into synaptosomes was linearlys related to Na+ concentration and membrane potential. Extracellular Ca2+ modulated the choline uptake, but probably not through increase of intracellular $Ca^{2+}$, because this modulation was not affected the by high $K^+$-depolarization. EGTA (2mM) added for $Ca^{2+}$-free condition had a peculiar effect of decreasing choline uptake. These results suggest that Ca2+ may play an important role in regulating the metabolism of acetylcholine in the nerve terminals directly through the increase of acetylcholine release.

A Study on the Expansion of the Global Supply Chain in Southeast Asia Using the FTA Outward Processing (FTA 역외가공방식을 활용한 동남아시아 지역의 글로벌 공급망 확대에 관한 연구)

  • In the environment of protectionism and bilateral trade agreements, Korea has promoted the conclusion of FTAs for its export-oriented trading policy, and 16 FTAs have entered into force at present. The main goal of this paper is to introduce the ISI system and its benefits and to extend the preferential rule of origin regime by using the Integrated Sourcing Initiative in the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations. The ISI illustrates with impressive clarity the fact that it considered as a tool of expanding the geographic limit of states and maximizing the global sourcing strategy of multinational corporations, allowing the developing countries to gain access to the market of developed ones that avoid the complexity and costs of many rules of origin regimes. This paper utilizes the literature research and analyzes a case study of FTAs which have adopted the ISI system. In conclusion, it presents several implications of additional measures to satisfy rules of origin in Korea's existing FTAs relating to the global supply chain strategy.

UV 처리에 의한 T-OLED용 산화전극에 적합한 Ag 박막 연구: Nano-Mechanical 특성 분석을 중심으로

  • Ag (silver)의 일함수는 T-OLED (Top Emission Organic Light Emitting Diode)의 전극소자로 사용하기에는 다소 낮다는 단점이 있다(~4.3 eV). 이러한 단점을 해결하기 위한 대안으로 Ag 박막의 표면을 플라즈마 처리, UV 처리 및 열처리를 통하여 일함수를 높이는 연구가 진행 되어왔다(>5.0 eV). 하지만 현재의 대부분 연구는 후 처리된 박막의 일함수에 초점을 맞춰 연구가 진행 되어 박막의 nano-mechanical property에 대한 연구는 매우 부족하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 AgOx 박막의 nano-mechanical property에 초점을 맞춰 분석을 실시하였다. 연구에 사용된 샘플은 Ag 박막을 유리기판 위에 rf-magnetron sputter 장치를 이용하여 100 W의 power로 150 nm 두께로 증착하였다. 증착된 Ag 박막은 $O_3$ 발생 UV 램프를 이용하여, 다양한 시간동안 UV 처리하였다(0~9분). 증착된 샘플은 Four-point probe, nanoindenter 장비를 이용하여 nano-mechanical property를 분석하였다. 실험 결과 UV 처리 시간이 0, 1분에서 면저항이 0.16, 0.50 ${\Omega}$/sq로 급격한 변화가 나타났으나, 반면 3분 이후 9분의 샘플의 경우, 0.55 ${\Omega}$/sq에서 0.24, 0.20, 0.15 ${\Omega}$/sq로 감소하여 전기적 특성변화를 볼 수 있었다. 또한 nanoindenting 결과 UV 처리한 박막의 극 표면 경도 값의 변화는 0~5분 처리한 샘플의 경우, 물리적인 경도가 증가하는 형태를 보이며 UV 처리를 5분간 했을때 7.89 GPa로 최고의 경도를 가진다. 그 이후부터는 6.97, 3.46 GPa의 결과로 박막의 경도가 감소되는 결과를 얻었다. 이러한 결과로부터 Ag 박막의 후처리에 따른 Ag 물질의 산화 및 결정상태에 따라 박막 내에 존재하는 residual stress를 분석할 수 있다.

  • Morphological characteristics and life cycle of Udea ferrugalis (Hubner) attacking Angelica utilis were studied in 1995 and 1996. Egg of U. ferrugalis was oval-shaped with light-gray. Larva was milk white or light yellow color with 1.50-14.6 mm body length, depending on their developmental stages from 1st to 5th instar. Pupa were deep-brown with 8.2-9.7 mm length. Adults were brown color and body lengths were 10.1 mm and 8.3 mm and wing expanse lengths were 18.5 mm and 16.6mm with female and male, respectively. At 20$^{\circ}$C, each developmently periods was 5.81, 19.0, 3.46 and 1 l.0days with egg, larvae, pre-pupae, and pupae, respectively. Also adult longevitys were 10.13 for female and 9.8 days for male. Average number of egg were 238.5 and 248.8 at 20$^{\circ}$C and 30$^{\circ}$C, respectively. A total of 12 species host plants were identified in the outdoor observation in Chungbuk province.

  • The purpose of this study is to maintain healthy hair by treatment. Frequent permutations cause a lot of damage to the ends of the hair, and use permant wave pre- and post-processing agents step by step to protect the damaged ends of the hair. The Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Extract used in this study are effective for anti-bacterial, antioxidant, anti-cancer blood circulation and skin moisturizing. This extract was soaked in 1 perm paper and 2 perm papers and wound, and then the cuticle, tensile strength and wave formation rate were investigated. An average comparison analysis was conducted, and when the ginkgo leaf extract was applied to two perm paper sheets, the permanent hair tip showed the highest hair improvement effect.

  • This study discusses the effect of using 232Th instead of 238U on the neutronic characteristics and the main operating parameters of the pressurized water reactor (PWR). MCNPX version 2.7 was used to compare the neutronic characteristics of UO2 with (Th, 235U)O2 and (Th, 233U) O2. Firstly, the infinity multiplication factor (Kinf), thermal neutron flux, and power distribution have been studied for the investigated fuel types. Secondly, the effect of Gd2O3 and Er2O3 on the Kinf and on the radial thermal neutron flux and thermal power has been investigated to distinguish which of them is more suitable than the other in reactivity management. Thirdly, to illustrate the effectiveness of 232Th in decreasing the inventory of both the actinides and non-actinides, the concentration of plutonium (Pu) isotopes and minor actinides (MAs) has been simulated with the fuel burnup. Besides, due to their large thermal neutron absorption cross-section, the concentrations of 135Xe, 149Sm, and 151Sm with the fuel burnup have been investigated. Finally, the main safety parameters such as the reactivity worth of the control rods (ρCR), the effective delayed neutron fraction βeff, and the Doppler reactivity coefficient (DRC) were calculated to determine to which extent these fuel types achieve the acceptable limits.

Granite Dike Swarm and U-Pb Ages in the Ueumdo, Hwaseong City, Korea (경기도 화성시 우음도 일원의 화강암 암맥군과 U-Pb 연령)

  • The Middle Jurassic granite dike swarm intruding into the Paleoproterozoic banded gneiss is pervasively observed in Ueumdo, Hwaseong City, mid-western Gyeonggi Massif. Based on their cross-cutting relationships in a representative outcrop, there are four dikes (UE-A, UE-C, UE-D, UE-E), and depending on the direction, there are three granite dike groups, which are NW- (UE-A dike), NW to WNW- (UE-C dike), and NE-trending (UE-D and UE-E dikes). These granite dikes are massive, medium-to coarse-grained biotite granites, and their relative ages observed in outcrops are in the order of UE-A, UE-D (=UE-E), and UE-C. The geometric analysis of the dikes indicates that the UE-A and UE-C dikes intrude under approximately NE-SW trending horizontal minimum stress fields. The UE-A dike, which showed a relatively low average SiO2 content by major element analysis, is a product of early magma differentiation compared to other dikes; therefore, it is consistent with the relative age of each dike. The 206Pb/238U weighted mean ages for each dike obtained from SHRIMP zircon U-Pb dating were calculated to be 167 Ma (UE-A), 164 Ma (UE-C), 167 Ma (UE-D), and 167 Ma (UE-E), respectively. The samples of the UE-A, UE-D, and UE-E dikes showed very similar ages. The UE-C dike shows the youngest age, which is consistent with the results of the relative age in the outcrops and major element analysis. Therefore, the granite dikes intruded into the Middle Jurassic (approximately 167 and 164 Ma), coinciding with those of the Gyeonggi Massif, where the Middle Jurassic plutons are geographically widely distributed. This result indicates that the wide occurrence of the Middle Jurassic plutons on the Gyeonggi Massif was formed as a result of igneous activity moving in the northwest direction with the shallower subduction angle of the subducting oceanic plate during the Jurassic.

The Development of Earthenware Kilns in Bongsan-ri Archaeological Site, Osong: Implications for Pre- and Post-1950 AD Absolute Age Determination (AD 1950년 전후 고고유적의 절대연대측정에 대한 고찰: 오송 봉산리 옹기가마 유적을 중심으로)

  • We conducted TL/OSL dating for the earthenware kilns in the Bongsan-ri archaeological site, Osong, which was occupied from the late nineteenth to the late twentieth century. With the SAR-TL/OSL method, paleodose was determined from the equivalent dose during the burial period($ED_{burial}$), the background dose($ED_{BG}$), the fading correction factor(f), and the overestimation correction factor(C). The annual dose rates and their provenance were evaluated from the measurement of natural radionuclides $^{238}U$, $^{232}Th$, and $^{40}K$. Because the comprehensive absolute age was provided by combining the resulting TL/OSL and radiocarbon data, we concluded that, for the absolute chronology of a modern archaeological site, TL/OSL dating and radiocarbon dating must be carried out together and summed. The construction and occupation of earthenware kilns in the Bongsan-ri site had changed from stage I (No.5, 6 kilns), to stage II (No.1, 2, 3 kilns), to stage III (No.4) in chronological order. When Bayesian statistics were applied, we found that the absolute ages of occupation for stages I, II, and III correspond to AD $1910{\pm}23$, AD $1970{\pm}10$, and AD $1987{\pm}4$. These results were in good agreement with the archaeological context or chronology.
