From the rhizomes of R. podophylla (Saxifragaceae) ${\beta}-peltoboykinolic$ acid, mp $249{\sim}51^{\circ}$, was isolated and characterized by spectral data. ${\beta}-Sitosterol$ and campesterol were also identified.
