The aim of this study is to investigate the ductile fracture behaviour under pure Mode II loading using A533B pressure vessel steel. Single punch shear(SPS) test was performed to obtain the J-R curve under pure Mode II loading which was compared with that of the Model I loading. Simulation using Rousellier Ductile Damage Theory(RDDT) was carried out with 4-node quadrilateral element(L(sub)c=0.25mm). For the crack advance, the failed element removal technique was adopted with a $\beta$ criterion. Through the $\beta$ value tuning-up procedures, $\beta$(sub)crit(sup)II was determined as 1.5 in contrast with $\beta$(sub)crit(sup)I=5.5. In conclusion, it was found that the J-R curve under Mode II loading was located at lower part than that under Mode I loading obtained from the previous study and that the $\beta$ values strongly depended on the loading type. In addition, the predicted result using RDDT showed a good agreement with the SPS experimental one under pure Mode II loading.

The indigenous nuclear power program of India is based mainly on a series of Pressurised Heavy Water Reactors (PHWRs). A burst correlation for Indian PHWR fuel claddings has been developed and empirical burst parameters are determined. The burst correlation is developed from data available in literature for single-rod transient burst tests performed on Indian PHWR claddings in inert environment. The heating rate and internal overpressure were in the range of 7 K/s-73 K/s and 3 bar-80 bar, respectively, during the burst tests. A burst criterion for inert environment, which assumes that deformation is controlled by steady state creep, has been developed using the empirical burst parameters. The burst criterion has been validated with experimental data reported in literature and the prediction of burst parameters is in a fairly good agreement with the experimental data. The burst criterion model reveals that increasing the heating rate increases the burst temperature. However, at higher heating rates, burst strain is decreased considerably and an early rupture of the claddings without undergoing considerable ballooning is observed. It is also found that the degree of anisotropy has significant influence on the burst temperature and burst strain. With increasing degree of anisotropy, the burst temperature for claddings increases but there is a decrease in the burst strain. The effect of anisotropy in the ${\alpha}$-phase is carried over to ${\alpha}+{\beta}$-phase and its effect on the burst strain in the ${\alpha}+{\beta}$-phase too can be observed.

포항지역 일원에 분포하는 이암을 대상으로 암석의 파괴강도에 대한 유도이방성을 분석하기 위하여 인공절리면을 갖는 이방성 암석에 대한 일축 및 삼축압축시험을 수행하였다. 시험결과, 일축압축강도와 삼축압축강도의 최소치는 인공절리면의 각도 ${\beta}=30^{\circ}$에서 나타났으며, 이방성 유형은 어깨형태(shoulder type)를 보였다. 또한 일축압축시험에서의 이방율을 산정한 결과, $R_c=9.0$으로 나타나 매우 높은 이방성에 속한 반면, 삼축압축시험에서 이방율은 $1.29{\sim}1.98$ 정도의 낮은 이방성으로 나타났다. Ramamurthy(1985) 파괴규준식에 n 지수를 도입하여 일축압축시험결과를 분석한 결과 ${\beta}=0^{\circ}{\sim}30^{\circ}$에서는 n=1인 곡선과 ${\beta}=30^{\circ}{\sim}90^{\circ}$에서는 n=3인 곡선이 가장 적절한 값을 예측하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 삼축압축시험결과를 Ramamurthy 파괴규준식을 적용하여 분석하기 위해 매개변수 산정에 관한 Ramamurthy 제안식에 일축압축강도에서의 이방율을 도입하여 제안식을 일부 수정하였다. 이를 이용하여 매개변수를 재산정하고 Ramamurthy 파괴규준식에 적용한 결과 전반적으로 실험치와 잘 일치되는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, Jaeger(1960), McLamore & Gray(1967) 및 Hoek & Brown(1980)의 파괴규준을 적용하여 이암의 파괴강도에 대한 이방성을 살펴보았다.

This paper proves a new regularity criterion for solutions to the Cauchy problem of the 3D Boussinesq equations via one directional derivative of the horizontal component of the velocity field (i.e., (∂_iu₁; ∂_ju₂; 0) where i, j ∈ {1, 2, 3}) in the framework of the anisotropic Lebesgue spaces. More precisely, for 0 < T < ∞, if $$\large{\normalsize\displaystyle\smashmargin{2}{\int\nolimits_o}^T}({\HUGE\left\|{\small{\parallel}{\partial}_iu_1(t){\parallel}_{L^{\alpha}_{x_i}}}\right\|}{\small^{\gamma}_{L^{\beta}_{x_{\hat{i}}x_{\bar{i}}}}+}{\HUGE\left\|{\small{\parallel}{\partial}_iu_2(t){\parallel}_{L^{\alpha}_{x_j}}}\right\|}{\small^{\gamma}_{L^{\beta}_{x_{\hat{i}}x_{\bar{i}}}}})dt<{{\infty}},$$ where ${\frac{2}{{\gamma}}}+{\frac{1}{{\alpha}}}+{\frac{2}{{\beta}}}=m{\in}[1,{\frac{3}{2}})$ and ${\frac{3}{m}}{\leq}{\alpha}{\leq}{\beta}<{\frac{1}{m-1}}$, then the corresponding solution (u, θ) to the 3D Boussinesq equations is regular on [0, T]. Here, (i, ${\hat{i}}$, ${\tilde{i}}$) and (j, ${\hat{j}}$, ${\tilde{j}}$) belong to the permutation group on the set 𝕊₃ := {1, 2, 3}. This result reveals that the horizontal component of the velocity field plays a dominant role in regularity theory of the Boussinesq equations.

This thesis is concerned with fault-tolerance of a B-net (Beta-network) which is a kind of interconnection network in the multicomputer system. In this paper, a method for obtaining Maximal Tolerable Fault Set(MTFS) of link line connecting switching elements in the arbitrary B-net is presented. Using this method, it is seen that testing of DFA capability is possible when s-a-faults of link line occur, and criterion for determining degree of fault- tolerance of a B-net in terms of link line is introduced.

For given ${\alpha},{\omega}\;{\in}\;{\mathbb{R}}$ and ${\beta}$ > 1, let $T_{{\beta},{\alpha},{\omega}}$ be the skew-product transformation on the torus, [0, 1) ${\times}$ [0, 1) defined by (x, y) ${\longmapsto}\;({\beta}x,y+{\alpha}x+{\omega})$ (mod 1). In this paper, we give a criterion of ergodicity and weakly mixing for the transformation $T_{{\beta},{\alpha},{\omega}}$ when the natural extension of the given ${\beta}$-transformation can be viewed as a generalized baker's transformation, i.e., they flatten and stretch and then cut and stack a two-dimensional domain. This is a generalization of theorems in [10].

Compression tests were carried out to investigate the hot-deformation behavior of Ti-6Al-4V alloy in the temperature range of $915^{\circ}C$ to $1015^{\circ}C$ and the strain rate range of $10^{-3}s^{-i}$ to $10s^{-1}$. Under the given test conditions, the hot-deformation of Ti-6Al-4V alloy was mainly led by dynamic recovery rather than by dynamic recrystallization. The activation energy for the plastic deformation in $\alpha+\beta$ field was about 894 kJ/mol and $\beta$ field was 332kJ/mo1. Processing map for hot working are developed on the basis of the variations of efficiency of power dissipation($\eta$=2m/m＋1) and flow instability criterion using the dynamic material model. The optimum process condition in the ($\alpha＋\beta$) field was obtained at the temperature ranges of $930^{\circ}C$ to $955^{\circ}C$$^{\circ}C$ and a strain rate of $10^{-3}s{-1}$.

Purpose: This study is to figure out not only the characteristics relating to transfer time of inter-hospital transfer patient which is transferred by a private ambulance, but also factors influencing the transfer time. Methods: In this study, an analysis of 750 patients with high severity levels among those transferred to another hospital by a private ambulance in Busan for whole year of 2017. Results: The results showed that the following factors significantly influence the total inter-hospital transfer time: Ambulance crew (${\beta}=10.525$, p=.001) and patient and carer (${\beta}=37.606$, p<.001) when setting a doctor (selecting a medical institution) as a criterion; availability of the specialized care (${\beta}=12.435$, p=.008) when setting the near distance (reason for selecting a hospital for transfer) as a criterion. The explanatory power of this analysis was R2=0.423, whereas the explanatory power of calibration was R2=0.411. Conclusions: Factors that increase the total inter-hospital transfer time were the ambulance crew, and patient and carer's selecting a medical institution, and the reason for selecting a hospital where enables to offer the specialized care services.

표준화된 중회귀모형에서 다중공선성(multicollinearity)이 존재할 때, 공선성(collinearity)의 영향을 완화하기 위해서 능형회귀가 사용된다. 반응변수의 예측을 위한 기준으로서 반응변 수의 예측치의 평균제곱합(MSE)을 설명변수의 관심영역 R에서 적분한(IMSE) $J_w(k)$ 기 준이 Lim, Choi & Park(1980)에 의해 소개되었다. $C_k$기준이 설명변수의 관심영역 R상 에서의 가중치 함수인 w(x)가 각각의 자료점에서 등확률 1/n을 갖는 경우의 IMSE 기준인 $J_n(k)$ 기준과 동치라는 관계를 이용함으로 $C_k$ 기준에 대해서 Myers(1986)에 의해 주어진 k의 선택방법 보다 더 합리적이라 기대되는 k의 선택방법이 제시되었다. 다음으로 관심이 있는 모든 기준들에 대해서 상대적으로 효율이 좋은 능형회귀추정량 $\beta(k)$를 선택하기 위해서, 관심이 있는 기준들 간의 가장 나쁜 효율을 최대화한다는 의미에서 MiniMax 원칙을 채택하여 관심이 있는 기준들에 대해서 로버스트한 k의 선택방법을 제시 하였다.

A Chi-square approximation to the distribution of product of independent Beta variates denoted by U is developed. The distribution is commonly used as a test criterion for the general linear hypothesis about the multivariate linear models. The approximation is obtained by fitting a logarithmic function of U to a Chi-square variate in terms of the first three moments. It is compared with the well known approximations due to Box(1949), Rao(1948), and Mudholkar and Trivedi(1980). It is found that the Chi-square approximation compares favorably with the other three approximations.
