  • PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) has at least from known crystalline structure ( ; they are referred to as the $\alpha$, $\beta$, $\gamma$ and $\alpha_p$ phase or forms II, I, III and $IV_p$). In this study, the manufactured PVDF thin films through vapor deposition method had for II ( ; the substrate temperature at 30$^{\circ}C$). The dielectric behavior of poly(vinylidene fluoride) is affected by orientation and crystal modification. The very high value of the dielectric constant for high temperature conditioned film is believed to be due to the orientation effect. The loss peak caused by molecular motion of the molecules in crystalline regions.

  • In this paper, fuzzy logic system equipped with the back-propagation training algorithm as identifiers for nonlinear dynamic systems is described. To improve its performance, Jacob's delta-bar -delta rule is adapted in adjusting stepsize ${\alpha}$, and only y and ${\alpha}$ updating algorithm is suggested. In identifying and predicting the chaotic time series, suggested method is better than Li-Xin Wang's method,[1]

  • 목적: 섬광 근접측정법은 항원 항체 반응 후 결합 분획과 유리분획을 분리하는 과정이 필요없다. 이러한 원리를 검체 내 hCG와 항 ${\alpha}$ hCG 항체간의 항원 항체 반응에 적용하고자 한다. 대상 및 방법: 항 ${\alpha}$ hCG 항체를 biotin과 결합시켜 SPA bead에 부착된 streptavidin과 부착 가능하게 만들었다. 이 측정법은 항 ${\alpha}$ hCG 항체가 부착된 SPA beads에 대해 혈청내 hCG와 표지항원인 $[^{125}I]hCG$간의 경쟁 반응을 기본 원리로 이용하였다. Biotin 표지 항 ${\alpha}$ hCG 항체를 $[^{125}I]hCG\;100{\mu}{\ell}$와 표준용액이나 환자 혈청 $200{\mu}{\ell}$이 들어있는 실온에서 20분 방치하였다. 그리고 streptavidin이 붙은 SPA beads $20{\mu}{\ell}$를 바이알에 넣고 10분 더 방치한다. 환자 혈청의 수치를 표준 응답곡선을 통해 계산하였다. 결과: SPA측정법에 사용되는 방사성 핵종의 방사능 양에 따라 반응용액 속에서 SPA bead와 자유 방사성 핵종에 의한 배후 방사능이 측정값에 영향이 없음을 확인하였다. SPA 방법을 응용한 측정에서 적합한 표준 응답곡선을 얻었고, 실제 환자혈청에서의 hCG 농도를 결정할 수 있었다. 결론: 이 실험을 통해 SPA 방법을 이용한 측정법이 임상진단에 유용하게 사용될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

Mechanism of Herbal Acupuncture of Clematis Mandshurica Maxim. Water Extract by Stimulation of Sinsu (BL 23) Loci Subcutaneously as Dual Inhibitor of Proinflammatory Cytokines on Adjuvant Arthritis in Rats

  • Objective : Based on immunological mechanisms, this study examined whether subcutaneous (s.c.) injection of Clematis mandshurica Maxim. water extract (CMA) has anti-inflammatory effects, and its effect on $TNF-{\alpha}$, IL-1 and IL-10 release from synoviocytes on adjuvant arthritis (AA) in the rat. Methods : Complete Freund's adjuvant was used to induce AA in rats. Synoviocytes were separated by the method of collagenase and DNase digestion Synoviocytes proliferation was assayed by 3-(4, 5 dimethylthiazol 2 yl)-2, 5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay. $TNF-{\alpha}$, IL-1 and interleukin-10 (IL-10) production of synoviocytes was measured with ELISA. The expression of IL-10 mRNA of synoviocytes was determined using RT PCR. Results : There were significant secondary inflammatory reactions in AA rats, accompanied by the decrease of body and immune organs weight simultaneously. Synoviocytes proliferation of AA rats significantly increased, and the levels of $TNF-{\alpha}$ and IL-1 in supernatants of synoviocytes in AA rats were also elevated compared with the sham group. The administration of CMA (2, 5, 10 mg/kg, s.c.) reduced the above changes significantly. In contrast to $TNF-{\alpha}$ and IL-1, IL-10 production and the level of its mRNA of synoviocytes in AA rats apparently decreased. CMA (2, 5, 10 mg/kg, s.c.) markedly increased IL-10 in synoviocytes at protein and transcription level. Conclusion : The results indicate that CMA has a beneficial effect on rat AA due to modulating inflammatory cytokine production of synoviocytes, which play a crucial role in the pathogenesis of this disease.

MICROMAGNETISM OF HARD AND SOFT MAGNETIC MATERIALS

  • High performance magnetic materials are characterized by the combination of outstanding magnetic properties and optimized microstructures, e.g., nanocrystalline composites of multilayers and small particle systems. The characteristic parameters of the hysteresis loops of these materials vary over more than a factor of $10^{6}$ with optimum values for the coercive field of several Tesla and permeabilities of $10^{6}$. Within the framework of the computational micromagnetism (nanomagnetism) using the finite element method the upper and lower bounds of the coercive field of different types of grain ensembles and multilayers have been determined. For the case of nanocrystalline composites the role of grain size, exchange and dipolar coupling between grains and the degree of grain alignment will be discusses in detail. It is shown that the largest coercivities are obtained for exchange decoupled grains, whereas remanence enhancing requires exchange coupled grains below 20 nm. For composite permanent magnets based on $Nd_{2}Fe_{14}B$ with an amount of ~ 50% soft $\alpha$-Fe-phase coercivities of ${\mu}_{0}H_{c}=0.75\;T$, a remanence of 1.5 T and an energy product of $400\;kJ/m^{3}$ is expected. In nanocrystalline systems the temperature dependence of the coercivity is well described by the relation ${\mu}_{0}H_{c}=(2\;K_{1}/M_{s}){\alpha}-N_{eff}{\mu}_{0}M_{s}$, where the microstructural parameters $\alpha$ and $N_{eff}$ take care of the short-range perturbations of the anisotropy and $N_{eff}$ is related to the long-range dipolar interactions. $N_{eff}$ is found to follow a logarithmic grain size size dependence ${\mu}_{0}H_{c}=(2\;K_{1}/M_{s}){\alpha}-N_{eff}(\beta1nD){\mu}_{0}M_{s}$. Several trends how to achieve the ideal situation $\alpha$->1 and $N_{eff}$->1->0 will be discussed.

  • We measured the field profiles, H(x)'s of coated conductors by using scanning Hall probe method when various magnetic fields, $H{_\alpha}'s$ or currents, I's were applied. From the measured field profiles, we calculated the current profiles, J(x)'s by the inversion method. The calculated J(x)'s of coated conductors show some different properties from the standard critical state model. $J{_c}'s$ are inhomogeneous varying with the positions and are not constant when $H_{\alpha}$ or I changes. And when I decreases the features of current reversion are remarkably different from the model.

  • 본 연구에서는 전 세계적으로 표준화된 전통적 항균제 감수성 검사방법인 CLSI(C linical and Laboratory Standards Institute)디스크 확산법과 디스크 확산법을 이용 해 MIC를 측정할 수 있도록 새롭게 고안된 E-test 방법과 최근 도입된 미량 액체 배지 희석법을 이용한 항균제 감수성 검사 자동화 장비인 MicroScan MICroSTR EP plus panel를 이용한 MIC 측정방법들의 일치도를 비교하여 MicroScan MICroS TREP plus panel 검사방법의 유용성을 관찰하고자 하였다. 대상균주는 2009년 2월부터 8월까지 6개월 동안 대전의 한 대학병원 임상환자에서 분리된 폐렴사슬알균 53균주와 알파용혈 사슬알균 51균주를 대상으로 하였으며 항 균제는 cefotaxime, chloramphenicol, clindamycin, erythromycin, levofloxacin, penicillin, tetracycline, trimethoprim/sulfamethoxazole, vancomycin 등 9가지 항균제를 평가 대상으로 하였다. 폐렴사슬알균 뿐만 아니라 알파용혈 사슬균에 대해서도 비교분석을 하였고 그 결과 알파용혈 사슬균에 대해 높은 일치율이 관찰되어 임상미생물 검사실에서 신속 정확한 최소발율 억제농도를 측정하는데 많은 도움이 되리라 생각된다.

A Study of Optimization of α-β-γ-η Filter for Tracking a High Dynamic Target

  • The tracking filter plays a key role in accurate estimation and prediction of maneuvering the vessel's position and velocity. Different methods are used for tracking. However, the most commonly used method is the Kalman filter and its modifications. The ${\alpha}-{\beta}-{\gamma}$ filter is one of the special cases of the general solution provided by the Kalman filter. It is a third order filter that computes the smoothed estimates of position, velocity, and acceleration for the nth observation, and predicts the next position and velocity. Although found to track a maneuvering target with good accuracy than the constant velocity ${\alpha}-{\beta}$ filter, the ${\alpha}-{\beta}-{\gamma}$ filter does not perform impressively under high maneuvers, such as when the target is undergoing changing accelerations. This study aims to track a highly maneuvering target experiencing jerky motions due to changing accelerations. The ${\alpha}-{\beta}-{\gamma}$ filter is extended to include the fourth state that is, constant jerk to correct the sudden change of acceleration to improve the filter's performance. Results obtained from simulations of the input model of the target dynamics under consideration indicate an improvement in performance of the jerky model, ${\alpha}-{\beta}-{\gamma}-{\eta}$ algorithm as compared to the constant acceleration model, ${\alpha}-{\beta}-{\gamma}$ in terms of error reduction and stability of the filter during target maneuver.

Enantiomeric purity test of R-(+)-alpha lipoic acid by HPLC using immobilized amylose-based chiral stationary phase

  • Alpha lipoic acid, an antioxidant, is widely used for treatment of various diseases. It is a racemic mixture, with R-(+)-α lipoic acid exhibiting greater potency, bioavailability, and effectiveness than those of the S-form. Thus, selective R-(+)-α lipoic acid has been recently used in various applications, necessitating the development of a method to test the enantiomeric impurity in R-(+)-α lipoic acid. We developed a simple and fast high-performance liquid chromatography method using a new immobilized amylose-based chiral column (Chiralpak IA-3). Design of experiment was applied to accurately predict the effects and interactions among various factors affecting the analytical parameters and to optimize the chromatographic conditions. This optimized method could completely separate the two enantiomer peaks with a resolution > 1.8 within a short running time (9 min). Then, the optimized method was validated according to the guidelines of the International Conference on Harmonization and applied for quantification of S-(-)-α lipoic acid in some commercial R-(+)-α lipoic acid tromethamine raw material. Our results suggested that the developed method could be used for routine quality control of R-(+)-α lipoic acid products.

밸브지점 균형과 교환 최적화 방법을 적용한 동적경제급전문제 (Dynamic Economic Load Dispatch Problem Applying Valve-Point Balance and Swap Optimization Method)

  • 본 논문은 경제급전 최적화 문제에 균형-교환 방법을 제안하였다. 제안된 알고리즘은 모든 발전기를 가능한한 밸브지점으로 운영한다고 가정한다. 초기치로 최대 발전량 $P_i{\leftarrow}P_i^{max}$로 설정하고, 각 발전기의 밸브지점 $v_k$까지 발전량을 감소시켰을 때의 평균 발전단가 $c_i=\frac{F(P_i)-F(P_{iv_k})}{(P_i-P_{iv_k})}$가 최대가 되는 $_{max}c_i$ 발전기 i의 발전량을 밸브지점 발전단가 $P_{iv_k}$로 감소시켰으며, ${\Sigma}P_i-P_d$ > 0이면 $c_i=F(P_i)-F(p_i-1)$$_{max}c_i$ 발전기 발전량을 $P_i{\leftarrow}P_i-1$로 감소시켜 ${\Sigma}P_i=P_d$의 균형을 맞추었다. 다음으로, $_{min}\{_{max}(P_i-P_i^{min}),\;_{max}(P_i^{max}-P_i)\}$>${\alpha}{\geq}10$의 범위에 대해 "-10" 간격으로 감소시키는 성인걸음법으로, 10>${\alpha}{\geq}1$ 범위에 대해서는 "-1"의 아기걸음법으로, $P_i=P_i{\pm}{\alpha}$에 대한 $_{max}[F(P_i)-F(P_i-{\alpha})]$>$_{min}[F(P_j+{\alpha})-F(P_j)]$, $i{\neq}j$이면 $P_i=P_i-{\alpha}$, $P_j=P_j+{\alpha}$로 발전량을 교환하는 방법으로 최적화를 수행하였다. 다음으로 ${\alpha}=\text{0.1, 0.01, 0.001, 0.0001$에 대해 미세한 교환을 수행하였다. 동적 경제급전 문제의 시험 사례에 제안된 알고리즘을 적용한 결과 기존의 휴리스틱 알고리즘 최적화 발전비용을 크게 감소시켜 경제적인 이익을 극대화 시켰다.
