The Magnetic Field Dependence Properties of Quasi Two Dimensional Electron-piezoelectric Potential Interacting System in GaN and ZnO

  • We investigated theoretically the magnetic field dependence of the quantum optical transition of qusi 2-Dimensional Landau splitting system, in GaN and ZnO. We apply the Quantum Transport theory (QTR) to the system in the confinement of electrons by square well confinement potential. We use the projected Liouville equation method with Equilibrium Average Projection Scheme (EAPS). Through the analysis of this work, we found the increasing properties of the optical Quantum Transition Line Shapes(QTLSs) which show the absorption power and the Quantum Transition Line Widths(QTLWs) with the magnetic-field in GaN and ZnO. We also found that QTLW, ${\gamma}(B)_{total}$ of GaN < ${\gamma}(B)_{total}$ of ZnO in the magnetic field region B < 25 Tesla.

Prevalence of Parasite Infection of Poultry(turkey, helmeted guineafowl, pheasant, duck) in Chonbuk Province (가금(칠면조, 오리, 호로새, 꿩)의 장내 기생충 감염상황)

  • In order to monitor the parasites, fecal samples were taken from turkey (n=157), helmeted guineafowl(n=149), pheasant(n=190) and duck(n=190) in Chonbuk province. The identification of the parasites were determined by the fecal examination using the fluatation method and microscopical examination. The results were obtained as follows;1. The detection rate oi the parasites from 4 species of poutry was 47.2%(n=324 heads) out of 686 heads. 2. The identification rate was 85.9% in helmeted guineafowl, 63.2% in pheasant, 44.6% in turkey and 3.2% in duck, in order. 3. The mixed infection rate such as single, double, triple and quadrupl was 25.4%(174 heads), 14.1%(97 heads), 7.3%(50 heads) and 0.4%(3 heads), respectively. 4. The parasites isolated were identified as Capillaria spp. in 225 heads, Eimeria spp in 169 heads, Heterakis gallinarum in 116 heads, Ascaridia galli in 16 heads, Hymenolepis spp. in 3 heads and Strongyloides avium in 1 head, in order.

  • The reaction of Co2(CO)8 with 3,6-di-tert-butyl-1,2-benzoquinone in the presence of the respective 4,4'-chalcogenobispyridine results in the coordination polymers of [CoⅢ(4,4'-X(Py)2)(DBSQ)(DBCat)]n (X=S, Se, Te; Py=pyridine; DBSQ=3,6-di-tert-butylsemiquinone; DBCat=3,6-di-tert-butylcatechol). The title compounds undergo an intramolecular Cat → Co electron transfer, and thus change toward the [CoⅡ(4,4'-X(Py)2)(DBSQ)2]n at elevated temperature. The temperature-switching properties of the compounds directly depend upon the electronegativity of the chalcogen atom of the 4,4'-chalcogenobispyridine coligands. The spectroscopic data disclose that the properties of [CoⅢ(4,4'-S(Py)2)(DBSQ)(DBCat)]n and [CoⅢ(4,4'-Se(Py)2)(DBSQ)(DBCat)]n are similar each other in contrast to those of [CoⅢ(4,4'-Te(Py)2)(DBSQ)(DBCat)]n.

  • We introduce and study some basic properties of rough $I_{\lambda}$-statistical convergent of weight g (A), where $g:{\mathbb{N}}^3{\rightarrow}[0,\;{\infty})$ is a function statisying $g(m,\;n,\;k){\rightarrow}{\infty}$ and $g(m,\;n,\;k){\not{\rightarrow}}0$ as $m,\;n,\;k{\rightarrow}{\infty}$ and A represent the RH-regular matrix and also prove the Korovkin approximation theorem by using the notion of weighted A-statistical convergence of weight g (A) limits of a triple sequence of Bernstein-Stancu polynomials.

Changes in Specific Gravity, Total Solid and Protein Contents of Human Milk During the Course of Lactation in Korean Women (한국인 모유의 수유기간별 비중, 충고형분 및 단백질 함량의 변화)

  • The lonitudinal determination of specific gravity, total solid and protein contents of human milk were carried out in 27 Korean women. Human milk samples from the subjects were collected at 15, 30, 60, 90, 120, 150th days of lactation. 1) The average values of specific gravity of the milk was 1, 0281 (S.D. 0.0018, n=12), with a range of 1.0200-1.0383. 2) The average values of total soild of the milk was 12.07g/100ml(S.D. 0.38, n=112), with a range of 9.36-15.88g/100ml. 3) The average values of protein content of the milk was 1.20g/100ml (S.D. 0.14, n=112), with a range of 1.09-1.46g/100ml. A slight decrease of specific gravity and protein content in human milk was found during the course of lactation, but significant decrease was not found in total solid content.

In vitro efficacy of N-acetylcysteine in combination with antimicrobial agents against Pseudomonas aeruginosa in canine otitis externa

  • Pseudomonas aeruginosa is one of the most common pathogenic species associated with canine otitis externa (OE). Their resilience is achieved by forming a biofilm, which allows these bacteria to evade even the harshest of treatments. This study evaluated the in vitro synergistic efficacy of N-acetylcysteine (NAC) with different antimicrobial agents against P. aeruginosa isolated from dogs with OE to develop an effective treatment against P. aeruginosa. The antimicrobial activity was evaluated by the minimum inhibitory concentration test using the microdilution method. The efficacy of antibiofilm formation was evaluated using a crystal violet stain method. The treatment solutions included NAC alone, and in synergy with enrofloxacin, polymyxin B, and gentamicin. NAC alone exhibited antimicrobial and antibiofilm abilities. On the other hand, the combination of NAC and the antibiotics did not show any significant synergistic effects against P. aeruginosa.

  • In this paper we show that spheres in $E^3{\subset}L^n$ and pseudohyperbolic spaces in $L^3{\subset}L^n$ are the only totally umbilic spacelike surfaces of type (I) in $L^n$.

  • By using N-bromophthalimide (NBP) as halonium ion source for the Hofmann rearrangement, a series of primary amide could be ocnverted to the corresponding cabamate in excellent yields. So NBP was throught to be very effective and practical halonium ion source for the Hofmann rearrangement.

  • The crystal structure of N-11-(benzotriazol-1-yl)butyl]-P-nitroaniline ( C16H17N502) has been determinedfromsingle crystal x-ray diffractionstudy:C16H17N502 monoclinic, P21/n, a=17542(2)A, b=10.755(3)A, c=8.891(1)A, β=104.58(1)˚, V=1623.4(5)A3, 7=293(2)K, Z=4, Cuka(A = 1.5418A) , The molecular structure was solved was by direct meshed refined by full-matrix least squares to a final R =0.0411 for 2248 unique observed [F≥4o(p) ] reflections and 255 Parameters. The crystal structure is stabilized by intermolecular N (11) -Hl 1 (Nl 1) ‥‥N (3) hydrogen bond with N(11) ‥‥ N(3) =3.136(2)A and N(11)-Hll(Nll)‥‥N(3) =164.1(15) ˚.

  • Let $P_c(z)=z^n+c$ be a complex polynomial with an integer $n{\geq}2$. We derive a criterion that the critical orbit of $P_c$ escapes to infinity and investigate its applications to the degree-n bifurcation set. The intersection of the degree-n bifurcation set with the real line as well as with a typical symmetric axis is explicitly written as a function of n. A well-defined escape-time algorithm is also included for the improved construction of the degree-n bifurcation set.
