웃음치료프로그램이 비만여성의 지각된 스트레스와 심리-신경-내분비-면역 반응에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Laughter Therapy Program on Perceived Stress, and Psycho-Neuro-Endocrino-Immuno Responses in Obese Women)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of the laughter therapy program on perceived stress and psycho-neuro-endocrine-immune responses in obese women. Methods: A nonequivalent control group with a pretest-posttest design was used. The participants (n=60), whose age ranged from 30 to 50 years (pre-menopausal and body mass index of over $25kg/m^2$), were assigned to the experimental group (n=24) or control group (n=26). The experimental group was provided with the laughter therapy program (12 sessions) for 6 weeks. Results: There were significant differences in perceived stress, psychological stress response, fasting blood sugar, interleukin-6, and tumor necrosis factor alpha between the two groups after the program. However, there were no significant differences in normalized low frequency (norm LF), normalized high frequency (norm HF), LF/HF ratio, and cortisol between the two groups after the program. Conclusion: It was found that the laughter therapy program had positive effects on some variables in terms of perceived stress and psycho-neuro-endocrine-immuno responses. It is suggested that the laughter therapy in this study can provide the direction for developing a program for obese women.

CONDITION NUMBER FOR THE W- WEIGHTED DRAZIN INVERSE AND ITS APPLICATIONS IN THE SOLUTION OF RECTANGULAR LINEAR SYSTEM

  • In this paper, we generalized the results of [23, 26], and get the results of the condition number of the W-weighted Drazin-inverse solution of linear system W AW\chi=b, where A is an $m{\times}n$ rank-deficient matrix and the index of A W is $k_1$, the index of W A is $k_2$, b is a real vector of size n in the range of $(WA)^{k_2}$, $\chi$ is a real vector of size m in the range of $(AW)^{k_1}$. Let $\alpha$ and $\beta$ be two positive real numbers, when we consider the weighted Frobenius norm $\|[{\alpha}W\;AW,\;{\beta}b]\|$(equation omitted) on the data we get the formula of condition number of the W-weighted Drazin-inverse solution of linear system. For the normwise condition number, the sensitivity of the relative condition number itself is studied, and the componentwise perturbation is also investigated.

Using variational methods, we prove existence of infinitely many high-energy solutions for the above system.

ICRP 기준팬텀 기반의 천연방사성핵종이 포함된 가공제품 사용으로 인한 피폭선량 특성 평가 (Characteristic Evaluation of Exposed Dose with NORM added Consumer Product based on ICRP Reference Phantom)

  • 국내에서는 2012년 천연방사성핵종이 포함된 가공제품의 규제를 위해 생활주변방사선 안전관리법이 시행되었지만, 해당 가공제품 사용에 대한 인체 피폭선량을 평가할 수 있는 기초자료나 피폭선량 평가기술이 미비하다. 따라서 본 연구는 사용자 피폭선량을 정량적으로 평가하기 위한 방법을 제안하고, 방사선의 종류 및 에너지에 따른 피폭선량 특성의 확인을 목적으로 한다. 피폭선량 평가를 위해서 몬테칼로 방법을 사용한 Monte Carlo N-Particle Extended (MCNPX) 코드를 통해 International Commission on Radiological Protection (ICRP)의 기준팬텀이 전산모사 되었으며, 대표적 천연방사성핵종인 우라늄 계열에서 발생되는 알파선, 베타선, 감마선의 최소, 중간, 최대 에너지가 선원항으로 사용되었다. 연간 유효선량은 가공제품 사용시간 및 사용위치를 고려한 피폭시나리오를 기반으로 평가되었다. 짧은 비정의 알파선 및 베타선은 대부분의 선량을 피부에 전달한 반면, 감마선은 대부분의 장기에 유사한 선량을 전달하였다. 방사능이 $1Bq{\cdot}g^{-1}$ 인 돌침대에 포함된 천연방사성핵종의 함유율이 10%라고 가정하고 한국인 평균 수면시간인 7시간 50분간 돌침대를 사용하였을 때 최대 연간 유효선량은 알파선, 베타선, 감마선에 대해서 각각 0.0222, 0.0836, $0.0101mSv{\cdot}y^{-1}$로 평가되었다.

A QUADRATIC APPROXIMATION FOR PROTEIN SEQUENCE TO STRUCTURE MAPPING

  • A method is proposed to predict the distances between given residue pairs (between C$\sub$${\alpha}$/ atoms) of a protein using a sequence to structure mapping by indefinite quadratic approximation. The prediction technique requires a data fitting in three dimensional space with coordinates of the residues of known structured proteins and leads to a numerical ref resentation of 20 amino acids by minimizing a large least norm iteratively. These approximations are used in distance prediction for given residue pairs. Some computational experience on a test set of small proteins from Brookhaven Protein Data Bank are given.

인산석고 취급공정에서의 라돈농도 및 유효선량 수준 평가 (Evaluation of Effective Dose and Exposure Level of Radon in Process Handling NORM)

  • Objectives: To monitor the radon concentration level in plants that handle phosphorus rock and produce gypsum board and cement, and evaluate the effective dose considering the effect of radon exposure on the human body. Methods: Airborne radon concentrations were measured using alpha-track radon detectors (${\alpha}$-track, Rn-tech Co., Korea) and continuous monitors (Radon Sentinel 1030, Sun Nuclear Co., USA). Radon concentrations in the air were converted to radon doses using the following equation to evaluate the human effects due to radon. H (mSv/yr) = Radon gas concentration x Equilibrium factor x Occupancy factor x Dose conversion factor. The International Commission on Radiological Protection (ICRP) used $8nSv/(Bq{\cdot}hr/m^3)$ as the dose conversion factor in 2010, but raised it by a factor of four to $33nSv/(Bq{\cdot}hr/m^3)$ in 2017. Results: Radon concentrations and effective doses in fertilizer manufacturing process averaged $14.3(2.7)Bq/m^3$ ($2.0-551.3Bq/m^3$), 0.11-0.54 m㏜/yr depending on the advisory authority and recommendation year, respectively. Radon concentrations in the gypsum-board manufacturing process averaged $14.9Bq/m^3$ at material storage, $11.4Bq/m^3$ at burnability, $8.1Bq/m^3$ at mixing, $10.0Bq/m^3$ at forming, $8.9Bq/m^3$ at drying, $14.7Bq/m^3$ at cutting, and $10.5Bq/m^3$ at shipment. It was low because it did not use phosphate gypsum. Radon concentrations and effective doses in the cement manufacturing process were $23.2Bq/m^3$ in the stowage area, $20.2Bq/m^3$ in the hopper, $16.8Bq/m^3$ in the feeder and $11.9Bq/m^3$ in the cement mill, marking 0.12-0.63 m㏜/yr, respectively. Conclusions: Workers handling phosphorous gypsum directly or indirectly can be assessed as exposed to an annual average radon dose of 0.16 to 2.04 mSv or 0.010 to 0.102 WLM (Working Level Month).
