Aim & Scope
Journal of Coastal Disaster Prevention (JCDP, pISSN 2288- 7903, eISSN 2288-8020), the official journal of Korean Society of Coastal Disaster Prevention, founded in 2013, is a peer-reviewed journal published quarterly for the purpose of advancing academic research. The Journal aims to advance and disseminate scientific and technical knowledge concerning coastal disaster prevention. Four Issues of the yearly volume will be published on January 31, April 30, July 31, and October 31, following an open access policy. The scope of the journal covers the following topics: global sea level rise, typhoon and high waves, storm surge and earthquake tsunami, coastal erosion and shore protection management, water quality controls including oil spill and red tide, safety design of coastal and harbor structures, various marine accidents and ship damages, policy and regulation for the adaptation and mitigation, sustainability and resiliency of coastal development, and other topics within the scope of coastal disaster prevention. The journal also highlights current technical issues from the real design practice in coastal and harbor engineering. Various policy proposals to the regulation and governance on coastal disaster prevention are included as well.
