This study aims to analyze safety indicators for various types of pedestrian accidents (traffic accidents, crimes, crowd crush incidents, and falls) in urban community roads. The need for this research arises from the complexity and narrowness of these streets, which significantly threaten pedestrian safety. The study employed literature reviews, case studies, and field surveys to identify risk factors for pedestrian accidents. These risk factors were then systematically evaluated using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to determine the relative importance of each safety indicator. The analysis revealed that for traffic accidents, factors such as the separation of pedestrian and vehicle paths and the effective sidewalk width are critical. For crime-related incidents, lighting and CCTV coverage were found to be the most important. In crowd crush incidents, pedestrian traffic volume and effective sidewalk width were identified as key indicators, while slope and effective sidewalk width were crucial for preventing falls. These findings contribute to the development of targeted safety improvement measures for urban community roads.
