SW·AI 교육 연수 필요성에 대한 교사 인식에 관한 연구

초록

디지털 시대에 접어들면서 각국은 SW 교육을 하기 시작했고 현재는 AI 교육도 경쟁적으로 실시하고 있는 상황이다. 우리나라의 2022 개정 교육과정에서도 이러한 의도가 표출되고 있다. 학교 현장에서의 교육의 성패는 교사들에게 의존한다고 해도 과언이 아니며 이는 AI 및 디지털 교육도 예외가 아닐 것이다. 따라서 교사들에 대한 연수는 매우 중요하다고 할 수 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 SW 및 AI 교육의 연수 주제들에 대하여 초등 교사들이 필요성을 얼마나 인식하고 있는가를 조사하였다. 초등 교사들은 SW 및 AI 교육에 대한 연수 필요성에 대하여 공감하고 있는 것으로 나타났으나 프로그래밍 혹은 실습 관련 주제보다는 개념 이해나 소양과 관련된 주제의 연수가 더 필요하다고 인식하고 있는 것으로 조사되었다. 이와 같은 조사 결과를 심층적으로 분석하고 연수프로그램 개발에 반영한다면 학교 현장에서 SW·AI 교육이 성공하는데 밑거름이 될 수 있을 것이다.

Entering the digital age, each country began to educate SW, and now AI is also being educated competitively. This intention is also expressed in the 2022 revised curriculum in Korea. It is no exaggeration to say that the success or failure of education in schools depends on teachers, and AI and digital education will be no exception. Therefore, training for teachers is very important. Therefore, in this study, we investigated how much elementary school teachers are aware of the need for training topics of SW and AI education. Elementary school teachers were found to agree on the need for training for SW and AI education, but it was found that they recognized that training on topics related to concept understanding or literacy was more necessary than topics related to programming or practice. If these survey results are analyzed in depth and reflected in the development of training programs, it will serve as a foundation for the success of SW·AI education in schools.
