Structural Relationship between Career Adaptability, Career Stress, and Psychological Well-bing of Commercial High School Students

Abstract

This study aims to identify the importance of students career adaptability and analyze the mediating effect of career stress in the relationship between career adaptability and psychological well-being of Specialized Vocational High School students. Among Specialized High School, third-year students from Commercial High School in Gyenggi and Chungchenog regions were selected as the study subjects. The results of analyzing the structural relationship between career adaptability, career stress, and psychological well-being are as follows. First, the higher the career adaptability of high school students, the lower the career stress. Second, the lower the career stress, the higher the students' psychological well-being. Third, there was no direct effect between career adaptability and psychological well-being.

이 연구는 학생들의 진로적응성에 대한 중요성을 확인하고, 특성화고 학생들의 진로적응성과 심리적 안녕감과의 관계에서 진로스트레스에 대한 매개효과를 분석하고자 한다. 특성화 고등학교들 중에서 경기 및 충청지역 상업계고등학교의 3학년 학생들을 연구대상으로 선정하였다. 진로적응성, 진로스트레스 및 심리적 안녕감과의 구조적 관계를 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 고등학생들의 진로적응성이 높을수록 진로스트레스는 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 진로스트레스가 낮을수록 학생들의 심리적 안녕감은 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 진로적응성과 심리적안녕감과의 직접적인 효과는 없는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 분석결과를 바탕으로 상업교육에서의 진로적응성에 대한 지도 및 교육의 중요성을 확인할 수 있으며, 진로적응성을 향상시킬수록 진로스트레스는 감소하고 이로 인해 학생들의 심리적 안녕감은 증가하는 것으로 나타나 진로스트레스에 대한 매개효과를 확인할 수 있다.
