Development of a math-learning counseling and coaching model (R-UTF) related to math anxiety, considering field applicability

현장 적용성을 고려한 수학불안 관련 수학학습 상담 및 코칭 모델(R-UTF) 개발

Abstract

Recently, the 2022 curriculum included a section on math learning clinics for the personalized education, so in order to develop a program that is feasible in the field, first, responses of elementary and middle school teachers in a teacher training program using a treatment program to reduce math anxiety among the affective areas, was analyzed and a revised model was constructed, and secondly, a math learning counseling and coaching model for treating math anxiety was finally sought by revising the results of applying the revised model to students according to the results from the first phase. This study was a basic attempt at developing a model for field application, and the entire process was inspected using a professional council by an expert advisory group. In particular, it is expected that field applicability will be greatly increased as the results of applying the revised model to students based on the responses of teachers who participated in the teacher training were produced. As a result of the study, the advantage of literally realizing personalized education was highlighted as it is easy to diagnose and administer complex treatments in the mathematics learning process that progresses from counseling to coaching.

최근 2022 교육과정에서 강조한 수학학습 맞춤형 교육(교육부, 2022b, p. 11)의 대안으로 수학클리닉에 대한 관심이 증가하고 있다. 이를 위한 현장에 실현가능한 프로그램을 개발하고자 정의적 영역 중 수학불안 감소를 위해 첫째, 교원연수 프로그램에 참여한 교사들을 대상으로 수학불안 감소 처치프로그램을 자신들의 학생들에게 사용하고 그 후기를 발표한 초, 중등교사들의 반응을 분석하여서 수정 본을 구성하였고, 둘째, 앞서 교사들의 반응에 따라 보완된 모델을 학생들에게 적용한 결과물을 산출함으로써 수학불안 처치를 위한 수학학습 상담 및 코칭 모델을 최종으로 모색하였다. 본 연구는 현장 적용을 위한 모델개발에서 기초적으로 시도하는 과정으로써 전문가 자문 집단에 의한 전문가 협의회를 통해 전 과정을 점검하였다. 특히 수정과 개발의 반복이 가능한 설계실험에 따라 교사연수에 참여한 교사들의 반응에 의해 수정한 모델을 다시 학생들에게 적용한 결과물을 산출하였기로 현장 적용성이 크게 높아질 것으로 기대한다. 연구결과로는 상담에서 코칭으로 나아가는 수학학습과정에서 복합적 처치를 위한 진단과 투여가 용이하므로 학습유형별 맞춤형 교육이 실현되는 장점이 부각되었다.
