Analyzing the Educational Needs of Peer Tutors' Competencies: Focusing on the Case of K University

또래교수 역량의 교육요구도 분석: K대학 사례를 중심으로

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify competencies that peer tutors should possess in activities that promote learning motivation and learning improvement for their tutees and to investigate the educational needs for them at the K-university. To do so, we first conducted extant literature review and obtained expert consultation to identify relevant competencies of peer tutors. Second, the needs analysis using t-test, Borich needs, the Locus for Focus model was implemented to prioritize educational needs for peer tutors. Based on the results, implications and suggestions were discussed.

이 연구의 목적은 대학에서 동료학습자의 학습동기 및 학업향상을 촉진하는 활동을 수행하는 또래교수가 갖추어야 할 역량을 도출하고, 그에 대한 교육요구를 알아보는 것이다. 이를 달성하기 위한 연구방법은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 또래교수의 역량을 도출하기 위해 문헌연구, 전문가 자문, 등을 실시하였다. 둘째, 또래교수의 역량에 대한 교육요구도를 산출하기 위해 t-검증, Borich 요구도, The Locusfor Focus 모델을 사용하였다. 이러한 연구 결과를 토대로 시사점 및 제언을 제시하였다.
