플렌옵틱 영상 서비스를 위한 적응적 저지연 전송 기술

Abstract

플렌옵틱은 물리공간 내 여러 방향의 빛 정보를 한꺼번에 센서에서 획득하고, 이를 그대로 재현함으로써 사용자에게 실제와 동일한 경험을 제공한다. 플렌옵틱 영상에 대한 스트리밍 서비스를 위해서는 여러 시점에서 획득된 영상 정보를 사용자로 전달하여야 하며, 또한 사용자의 시청 시점 변화에 대해 즉각적인 시점 전환이 이루어져야 한다. 이는 단순히 전송할 정보량의 증가뿐만 아니라 거의 실시간에 가까운 초저지연의 전송 기술을 요구한다. 본 고에서는 이러한 플렌옵틱 영상 서비스를 위해 적응적 저지연 전송 기술을 적용함으로써 고려해야 할 사항들에 대해 살펴본다.
