New planned cities according to 16 Grundsätze des Städtabaus were constructed, and buildings in the form of socialist classicism were built. In particular, Plattenbau was supplied to the people as an industrial collective housing form expressing socialist ideology. 16 Grundsätze des Städtabaus was successful as a method of faithfully expressing the socialist ideology, but as a result, it created the limits of urban growth and the inhuman living environment.
