A Study on the Formation Process of Ddeulzip in Bonghwa Area

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the formation process of the Ddeulzip in Bonghwa Area. The Ddeulzip is noble house of Chosun Dynasty at Andong cultural area. Bonghwa is located north of Andong cultral area. The period of various branched family's settling process in local village is divided into largely three parts. Those are divided early(15~16C), middle(17~18C) and late(19~20C) periods. The purposes of moving into local village of many branched family were various. Those were old residence, shelter, wife or mother's village, and fengshui. At first time of settlement, it was taken very long time to build first Ddeulzip, and after then it was not taken much time to build many Ddeulzip. At early period, various branched family was gathered at Bonghwa. During middle period, the first Ddeulzip of branched family was built. And for last period, a lot of Ddeulzip was built. There was important performing of study and marriage context.
