5G 저지연 기술 및 표준화 동향

Low-Latency Technologies and Standardization for 5G Mobile Communications

Abstract

최근 ITU-R은 IMT-2020으로 지칭되는 5G 이동통신의 비전을 제시하였다. 5G 이동통신은 기존의 이동통신과 달리 높은 전송속도 및 높은 전송효율이 요구되는 서비스 외에 짧은 전송지연을 요구하는 서비스와 높은 연결 밀도를 요구하는 서비스를 5G 이동통신의 3대 서비스로 규정하고 있다. 본고에서는 5G 이동통신의 3대 서비스 중 하나인 저지연 서비스를 제공하기 위해 3GPP의 SA와 RAN에서 논의되고 있는 저지연 기술과 표준화 동향을 논한다.
