Abstract
'Haptic Visuality' is the perceptual concept which based on the objective sense of body that is consistently changing due to the individual situation. The aim of this study is to figure out that 'Haptic Visuality' could be the driving force of the process that makes atmosphere in memory to real architecture with tracing the sequences in Peter Zumthor's design and user's experience especially on water in Therme Vals. From his process, 'Atmosphere' in architect's memory turns into a universal form which includes sensory information that based on the human body. 'Memory-Image-Reality' phase can preserve memory and substantialize it into a building. Therefore, by analyzing this process can be a valid suggestion about what makes architecture to form a close relationship with human body and by considering 'Haptic Visual Phenomena in Architecture' helps people to be touched in it.
