A Study on the Architectural Characteristics of the Multi-tenant Medical Office Building in Busan

Abstract

Although an increasing number of multi-tenant Medical Office Building(MOB) tend to determine street scene of urban center in Busan, there has been scant information of that phenomenon. Therefore, this study explores the architectural characteristics of multi-tenant MOB in terms of locational decision-making and space configuration in Busan. As a result of the research, multi-tenant MOB agglomerates in the vicinity of boulevard in order to induce a number of patients. Indeed, most clinics that can maintain their profitability though their location are located in high rise multi-tenant MOB. Lastly, a lower part of the multi-tenant MOB consists of people enticing facilities such as pharmacy, $caf{\acute{e}}$ and cell phone shop while clinics based on locational decision making accounts for a higher part of the building.
