Contemporary Technology and Problem of Salvation

현대 기술과 구원의 문제

In this paper I would like to examine critically technology in this age. In the first place, I discuss various dangerous aspects of contemporary technology. In the second and third section, I do research in Heidegger's and Ellul's philosophy of technique and appreciate them. Finally, as the result of it, I suppose the alternative perspective in social structure. This is my main intent.

우리는 21세기 첨단 기술 공학을 맞이하여 기술에 대한 철학적 반성을 새롭게 하고 싶다. 기존의 기술 이론 또는 기술 철학의 논의들은 현대 과학 기술의 첨예한 발전 상황에 대해서 적극적인 대응과 대책을 마련하고 있다고 느껴지지 않는다. 이 점에서 전통적 기술론들은 새로운 담론을 제시해야 하는 시점에 접어들고 있지 않을까 사료된다. 이 논문은 현대의 고전적 기술론들이 21세기에 새롭게 발전한 기술 공학들이 함유하는 철학적 문제성이나 실질적 영향력과 파급력을 감당하기에는 힘이 부치지 않는가 하는 판단에서 하이데거와 엘륄을 현대의 고전적 기술론의 주요 인물로 설정하고 그들의 논의의 통찰과 효용과 한계와 약점 등을 비판적으로 살펴보며 평가를 통해 대안적 모색의 계기를 마련하고자 한다.
