Punching Shear Performance Evaluation of Foundation by Depth-thickness Ratio of Shear Head Reinforcement

초록

The shear behavior of foundation is evaluated the same as slab under the current building code (ACI318-11 and KCI 2012). But the shear behavior of foundation would be different from the behavior of slab received uniformly distributed load, because it changes according to the deformational pattern of the foundation plate and the distributional pattern of the bearing power of soil. Therefore, in case of the shear head reinforcement of foundation plate depth shall not exceed 70 times the web thickness and the flexural stiffness ratio shall not be less than 0.15. However, KBC 2009 does indicate that the depth-thickness ratio do not consider in case of steel buried in concrete due to the concrete to prevent buckling. Therefore, this study shows the result of experimental investigation for the depth-thickness ratio of shear head reinforcement in foundation plate.
