Abstract
One of the most provocative project in architecture history in $20^{th}$ century was Bernard Tschumi's La Villette. Some of researchers compared La Villette with Total Serialism in terms of their operation method of composition. However this comparison has a limit because it shows relationships between formal composition method only. For this limit, works by most influential $20^{th}$ century american composer John case, give a light on more sophisticated comparison between music and architecture in $20^{th}$ century. His works have so much similarities with La Villette with regard to form, compositional and operational method, and aesthetics, intentions as well. Furthermore minute differences between similar works in music and architecture will shows differences of level on which each system works.
