Research on the Effects of a Project Manager's Competency on a Consultant's Ethical Attitude and the Consulting Achievement with the Regulation Effects of CEO Support

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to verify the importance of the relationship between the competency of the project manager of a consulting recipient company that can significantly influence the consulting achievement, the ethical attitude of the consultant, and the consulting project achievement. The results of this research are summarized as follows. The results of this study verified that the competency of the project manager from the consulting recipient company contributed to the ethical attitude of the consultant, the ethical attitude of the consultant positively affected the consulting achievement, and the support of the CEO of the consulting recipient company helped regulate the relationship between the competency of the project manager and the consulting achievement.

본 연구는 경영컨설팅 성과에 중요한 영향을 미칠 수 있는 컨설팅 수진기업의 프로젝트 매니저 역량과 컨설턴트의 윤리적 태도, 컨설팅 프로젝트 성과와의 관계에 대해 그 중요성을 검증하고자 하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 연구 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 컨설팅 수진기업의 프로젝트 매니저가 지닌 역량이 컨설턴트의 윤리적 태도에 긍정적인 영향이 있음을 검증하였으며, 컨설턴트의 윤리적 태도는 컨설팅 성과에 긍정적인 영향이 있음을 검증하였다. 또한, 프로젝트 매니저의 역량과 컨설팅 성과와의 관계에 해당기업 최고경영자의 지원이 조절효과가 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구를 통해 CEO 의지와 지원수준에 따라 컨설팅 성과가 달라질 수 있다는 것과 프로젝트 매니저의 역량이 컨설팅 성과에 중요한 변수임을 확인할 수 있었다.
