Abstract
This is a preliminary study to understand the current use of Korean Sustainable Building Guideline on Public Office building design and to propose supplementation for the guideline and design method. This study is based on the four public office buildings whose design was selected by public competitions and construction documents were submitted recently. Main focus was on applying building design guidelines as EPI (Environmental Performance Index), Building Energy Rating System, Renewable Energy Obligation, and GBCC (Green Building Certification Criteria). By reviewing the differences between competition proposals and construction documents, our present sustainable design circumstances and limitations could be clear and ideas to improve guideline were found out.
