Abstract
Many countries positioned the energy consumption for residential sector as a part of principal energy polices. One of the major strategy to achieve energy saving, focus on the analysis of consumer's consciousness has been identified as the key determinant together with the effectiveness of exterior thermal insulation refinement. From this reason, occupant's energy conscious behaviour was derived from field survey which is in the aspect of the energy use pattern, utilities and energy policy etc. Among the respondents, 50 percentile of end-user said that they have less demanding utilities fees (e.g. gas and electric) and it therefore can be found that the burden for defrayment is decrease associated with rise income. Given the major energy saving action (e.g., raise the electric and gas fares, check the gas, electric meter periodical etc.) young respondents relatively more aggressively provide consent than old respondents. Lastly, more half of respondents said that together with the rise income assure the upward energy use in the residential sector caused by increasing demand for comfort levels, and will grow for the time being.
