  • 발행 : 2013.10.25

초록

The purpose of this study was to examine social interaction in the production process of 'Ground Zero', rebuilding of World Trade Center site in New York. By tracing the progress of the major selected foci, the actors including human and non-human elements were structurally clarified with network diagrams based on Actor-Network Theory. Social interaction was found generally on the relationships not only among the human actors like ordering organizations, architects, pressure group, and the public but also among non-human actors like political position, economic situation, public opinion, right boundaries for the development, etc. By considering whole production progress not as negotiation between humans but as social interaction between human and non-human elements, relationship which had not been found beforehand could be rediscovered. At the same time, considering the actors as active elements which can be changable leads participants of the project to the new point of view which can change the background and conditions of the project.
