In small printing facilities, the high-concentration hazardous chemicals that are generated from printing equipments decrease the efficiency of workers and even pose a fatal threat to the workers' health. Therefore, a proactive approach is needed to improve the working environment through improving indoor air quality within the workplace. This study attempted to propose a ventilation system for the effective improvement of indoor air quality in small printing facility. It identified the hazardous chemicals in the presses by conducting field measurements of actual small printing facility. Based on the measurements, the study set up a basic model for a CFD simulation. Furthermore, a ventilation method for indoor environment improvement was selected and an alternative case was created. By using the CFD simulation, the hazardous chemical environment was also analyzed. With all these actions, the purpose of this study is to propose Evaluation of Ventilation Efficiency from Ventilation System and Volume that can effectively improve the indoor air quality of small printing facility.
