효율적인 Giga인터넷 서비스 제공을 위한 Extended PON링크 기술 표준화 동향과 적용사례

Abstract

본고에서는 기존 TDMA-PON(Time Division Multiple Access Passive Optical Network)장비의 변경 없이 광대역, 장거리 전송 그리고 고 분기 제공을 통해 가입자들에게 효율적인 Giga인터넷 서비스 환경을 제공할 수 있는 Extended PON 기술의 표준화 동향 및 링크 구조에 대해 설명한다. 그리고 현재 ETRI에서 개발된 Extended PON기술에 대해 살펴보고, 2012년 12월에 CJ헬로비젼의 Giga인터넷 선도 시범사업에 적용된 Extended E-PON(Ethernet-PON)링크 기술의 시험 결과 및 국내 적용사례를 고찰한다.
