Consequently, a purpose of this study is to find characteristics of historical and cultural landscape in Hanok village related with the governmental policies and suggest a desirable policy. This study revealed that there were some differences in terms of subject, aim, and method in supporting 95 Hanok villages by 12 types of policies of 5 government branches. Although it is desirable that there are various ways in governmental supports to Hanok-village, repetition of the supports to same region and the disorder of historical and cultural landscape design should be arbitrated. In the future, researches and policies on the method of continuous supports by the government and systematic design of historical and cultural landscape should be followed.
