LTE-Advanced 표준 기술 (REL-10 동향 및 REL-11 전망)

Abstract

LTE-Advanced 표준 기술은 3GPP(3rd Generation Partnership Project) 에서 LTE 표준 기술의 후속 기술로 2008년 초부터 개발해오고 있는 기술이며, 차세대 이동통신 시스템의 국제 표준인 IMT-Advanced 표준 가운데 하나로 인준된 표준 기술이다. 현재, 최종 표준 완성을 목전에 두고 있는 상황이며, 완성된 표준에 대한 최종 ITU-R 표준 제출 과정이 진행 중에 있다. 본 고에서는 ITU-R의 IMT-Advanced 표준 발간 일정에 맞추어서 3GPP에서 진행해 온 논의 사항들에 대해 정리하고 또한 REL-10 LTE-Advanced 표준을 구성하고 있는 주요 요소 기술들에 대해 알아본다. 마지막으로 LTE-Advanced 기술에 대한 향후 표준화 방향 등에 대하여 알아본다.
