최신 인트라 압축 기술

초록

차세대 동영상 압축 표준화가 될 HEVC(High Efficiency Video Coding) 표준화는 선진 기업, 연구소 및 학계의 비디오 압축 전문가들이 모여, 최신 동영상 압축 기술에 대한 표준화 경쟁에 돌입했다. 동영상 압축 기술의 핵심 기술 중 하나인 인트라 압축 기술도 기존 표준화 기술보다 더욱 다양하고 향상된 최신 기술을 바탕으로 표준화가 진행되고 있다. 본 논문은 HEVC의 Test Model 1.0 (HM 1.0)에 채택이 결정된 최신 인트라 압축 기술을 설명하고, 현재 진행중인 인트라 압축관련 CE (Core Experiment)에 참여 중인 기술을 소개한다.
