Femto-cell 표준 현황 및 기술 이슈

Abstract

실내 음영 지역 서비스 뿐만 아니라 커버리지 확장 및 용량 증대를 위한 차세대 이동통신 솔루션으로 부각되고 있다. 또한 최근 들어, Mobile WiMAX 와 3GPP UMTS 표준기구를 중심으로 펨토셀 표준이 본격화되기 시작하였다. 본 고에서는 두 표준기구를 중심으로 펨토셀에 대한 표준 현황과 시스템 및 기술적 요구사항을 살펴본다. 또한 제조사 및 이동통신 사업자들로 구성된 Femto Forum 을 통해 펨토셀에 대한 각각의 입장과 전망에 대해 알아본다.
